Brandon of Jimmy's Firestone in Madison Fl (near Tallahassee) was not only a tow truck driver, he was truly a knight in shining armor for my 18 y/o daughter who was stranded on I-10 at night in the rain. She was terrified, as was I. We live nearly 4 hours from there and he (a father of 5) knew exactly what to do to settle her nerves and reassure both of us that everything was going to be okay. He loaded her car, her, and all of her things and swiftly brought them safely home to Clermont at 2:00am. He and Lisa at their office location were a God sent!! I had an emergency situation where I was traveling from FL to TN and my tire wasn't holding air 200 miles in the trip. They were super kind to get me in and replace my tire on a fri just before closing. I was super grateful for that part but come to find out I was charged $200 for a low end $70 tire anywhere else. Ended up having to pay even more money once I got to my destination to deal w the tire. I absolutely do not recommend. All they saw was an opportunity to charge me whatever they wanted since I didn't have any choice but to pay it. Not impressed w this tire place. I don't know if this place is still in business but I really hope it is not b/c all they do is to rip people off. I had a car accident back in 2006 when I lived in Florida. My car was drivable but then it broke down in Madison which is about an hour away from Tallahassee where I lived. My friends came to pick me up so we left my car off the road and had it towed to be repaired by this car shop. Because it would take a few days for them to fix the car, my friends drove me back to Tallahassee. And we planned to go back to get the car after it's fixed. We called and asked for an estimate after it was towed to their shop. Because we were from out of town, they gave us a ridiculously expensive amount to take advantage of the situation. We decided not to fix it and asked if they could bring the car back to us. Then they charged me a ridiculously expensive amount for towing my car. My bill ended up being $700 and my car was still not drivable when I got it back! The owner is a complete scumbag, uneducated and rude. If you have some extra cash to burn and want to get ripped off, look no further! read more

I GAVE A STAR ONLY BECAUSE THEY MAKE YOU SELECT ONE TO POST A REVIEW. Is there a negative star that can be given cause I DARE not give a positive one. So my 67 year old mother car broke down close to the exit. She was forced to drive to the nearest gas station to see what was really going on with her car. Since it was after hours she decided to stay at the nearest hotel and maybe get assistance the next morning. Well the nearest hotel is about 500 feet from the gas station and Jimmie's is about 1000 feet from the hotel. So calling them the next morning to see what is really going on with the car, they send someone to tow it into the shop. By the afternoon they had it figured out that it was the main belt that broke and the reason why she was able to drive so far after it broke was because she had a good battery. So one of the worker call and say he can try to put another one on but not for sure if it will work but he will try. Now here is the kicker (as a mechanic you would know almost immediately if it would or would not and second it shouldn't take you hours to figure it out). So the belt didnt fit. Tuesday Morning: THE KICKER its after 11 check out time when he finally calls and say it doent fit I will have to order the part and it will be in the morning. So another night in the hotel with no transportation and a restaurant that her doctor told her to stay away from because of her high blood pressure and high cholesterol but since there was no other place to eat without walking a mile or two or three. She settled for salad. Wednesday morning no one has called and its 9. Two hours before check out. Nothing has been done. 10 oclock roll around and nothing. She calls and they say the part normally comes in around 9-1030. Still nothing. Ok its 1040 nothing. So she calls and they say just got the part and working on it now. Check out is at 11 with a hour extension so at this point she has two choices pay for another night at the hotel and not stay or turn the key in and wait in the lobby for them to call when the car is fixed. Ok she calls at 11 and they say oh I will definitely have it fixed in time for her not to pay for another night. (In the mean time I calls the place and try to get a better understanding of what is really going on. The old lady on the phone clearly doesnt know what is going on but after a few choice words she want to tell someone how to speak. Now Monday - Wednesday The quotes on the phone was maybe 500 maybe 6. The bill ended up being 1400 (100.00 TOW 29.99 belt 630.00 Ac Compressor and the rest is for labor. We received no receipt for the ac compressor (so if it doesnt fit we have no way of knowing where to send it too or how to get a refund if we need it. SO BEST THING TO DO IS PUSH YOUR CAR TO ANOTHER PLACE, WALK HOME, CALL THE AMBULANCE OR CATCH AN 18 WHEELER AND RIDE ON THE TOP OF HIS TRAILER. BECAUSE IT WILL BE CHEAPER AND YOU WANT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE BS FROM THE WORKER OR THE UNCONCERN UNPROFESSIONALISM OLD LADY WHO SUPERVISES THE PHONES. read more

On my way driving my daughter and her car to Disney World from Houston Texas and just outside of Madison Florida I-10, the check engine light came on... long story short, the serpentine belt shredded. They were able to come out and fix the bad pulley and replace the serpentine belt at a very reasonable price and time. Corporate Firestone when I started talking to tow truck driver he recommend to take it to the next exit where there was Jimmie's Firestone that he had worked there for a few years so there it went . I spent the day with my family and then they called and said it was a O2 sensor and it would be $190 and all they did was plug it in oh, I went after hours to pick up the truck got 15 minutes down I-10 when the ,. Truck started doing the same thing I called the on-call and he told me to go to Pep Boys that it would be closer to Tallahassee I told him I was a vulnerable woman and really needed someone to trust I said okay and I never heard from him or the company again, come to find out the sensors was not problem. I thought I would be stuck for hours and taken advantage of on price since I was woman who knows little about car repair and not close to home. Excellent Service /Very Fair Pricing After a long graduation in Tallahassee my family and I were heading back home to South Florida roughly 440 miles. Our car lost all power and broke down on I10 about 40 miles into our trip. We contacted AAA and they were able to find Jimmie's Firestone. The station was closed but they will open up for emergencies. My husband and I thought this might turn into a nightmare but we were very pleasantly surprised. The tow truck driver arrived in about 45 minutes and he took our car and our family to the Service Center. We arrived in Madison and it was a very small town with not much open. The driver dropped us off at Jimmies where we met Jason, he opened the office for us so we could get out of the blazing sun and into the air conditioning. He immediately went to work on our car, he had an idea what the problem was so he confirmed his suspicions and then the tow truck driver went to pickup the part. While he was gone Jason took the bad parts out and as soon as the driver returned Jason completed the work. In less than 2 hours Jason had us back on the road home. Everything we imagined might happen in this situation did not. We were treated extremely fairly and given fast courteous service at a reasonable price. We cannot express out gratitude enough to Jason and everyone affilitated with Jimmie's Firestone they helped to not ruin what was a very joyous occasion for our family. read more
