I went there because I got a postcard with half price highlights through my door. Everything was going well until they took the towel off my head and the planned ash blonde and bleach blonde and a low-light had clearly gone wrong. They had dyed the ends of my hair brown and the top was grey. I was in shock and couldn't speak I looked like winnie the witch. They obviously had to redo my hair as I couldn't go home with it in such a mess. They had to cut quite a bit off as having your hair dyed twice in one day isn't good for it. They apologised, they didn't charge me for the highlights but did charge me for the haircut- they also gave me some deep hair repair conditioner for free. My hair has had spiit ends and dull to look at since. I wouldn't recommend them as a hairdressers as they didn't seem to know what had gone wrong and although it looked ok to average when I left the salon the whole nightmare took 5 and half hours. I vowed never to save money in this way on my hair again - its not like buying the wrong bargain coat in the sale! Sample this hairdressers with caution. Best wishes C read more

I visited Jimmy chop chop for the first time in crawley town recently as it is a new salon i thought i would give it a try. i went there for my colour (highlights) and cut and style and got booked in with an apparent top stylist, to be honest I WAS NOT IMPRESSED! My highlights still looked like they needed doing again as were not close to the roots at all, and the cut is a disaster I am sticking now to my regular salon. The girl who done my hair whos name I WONT MENTION was so unfriendly and unprofessional and seems to be having her own issues on the day I was in! The salon was empty and there were staff hanging around which made me feel very very uncomfortable. Plus everyone can see you as they walk by outside despite the glass being hidden in some areas. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR VISIT AGAIN EVER. read more

Shocking customer service and won't be returning to this salon. They phoned to cancel a pre-booked appointment 10 minutes before I was due to arrive. The appointment was late in the day and had been in their diary for at least 5 weeks. I was told that they thought the stylist was off sick but couldn't be sure where they were or if they would be coming back. I was told that they had been off work for a while begs the question why Jimmy Chop Chop sent me an email reminder about the appointment the day before. A wasted journey to the Salon and very little respect for a loyal customer who had been using the salon for a year I won't be back! read more

Whenever I or my family have used this salon we have had nothing but a brill experience. Its normally Alex or James (Mr Chop Chop himself!!) who do our haircuts and they are GREAT. Normally salons shy away from cutting kids hair as they are not the crowd they want, but Jimmy Chop Chop could not be more welcoming. James recently cut my 2 year olds hair and did a fantastic job. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I have not been to the one in Brighton, but they are the best in Crawley. One word of warning though James supports Tottenham, so please avoid all mentions of football as he WILL bore you. Keep up the great work guys. Ali read more

I saw this website and read reviews about Jimmy Chop Chop and booked an appointment with a little caution (although reviews were good) and got my hair cut and styled. I got my hair cut and styled by Natalie and was better than I expected it to be or described the hair cut! Previously I had the same hairdresser for years at a different salon in Crawley and I did think there was no other replacement. But, No! Natalie is great, so friendly. She will make sure she knows exactly what you want rather than "yeah.. I got the idea" then cut a totally different hair style to what you've pointed out. Definitely a wower read more

Booked a haircut for the first time with the Crawley branch and when I rang for a stylist appointment was recommended to book my haircut with a graduate who apparently has been promoted to junior stylist that day and was really good with haircuts. Really disappointed with the outcome, the lengths are uneven and felt like the lady didn't really know what she was doing. My haircut is totally ruined and looks worse than when I went in. I wouldn't be going again due to my bad experience and will probably be ok if you book with a more experienced senior member. read more

This place has been open for a couple of years and is easily the best, most friendly and welcoming salon in Crawley. The staff are all super friendly and make sure you are happy with what they are about to do before a single cut is made. Run by James who has been working as a Hairdresser in the area for over 10years and has built up a loyal client base. Him and his staff welcome any newies through their doors and treat them to a fantastic experience. I can't recommend this place enough for somewhere for you to get a cut or a re-style. I flew over from Spain especially to visit the new Crawley salon. James had previously cut my hair years ago when I lived in the Uk and I loved the way he cut it. After a disasterous cut in Spain I booked a flight and an appointment. The new shop is very stylish and all the staff super friendly.James has restyled my hair and it is wonderful. I made an appointment at Jimmy Chop Chop as it was recommended by a friend. I had my hair cut and blow dried by Leigh. I am so glad that I ignored the offensive reviews that I saw on this site and went ahead with my appointment. I have never been so happy with my hair. I use Jimmy Chop Chop to get my hair cut every time and find them fab! I have a pixie style cut and go to Paula every time and she is great! Really friendly and knows exactly how to treat my hair. Plus the seats when you get your hair washed are so comfy so your back and neck don't ache after! read more

i went in for a trim with a picture of what i would like, and said i wanted a bob with no layers as i had grow them out, and i got a really short style with so short layers and i am so up set its going to take ages for me to grow out again. i would never recommend them to anyone. read more
