This was despite me leaving a 30% tip. To make matters worse, I had a very heavy trailer hitch on the rear floor, and instead of leaving it there, an employee moved it onto the leather bench seat. This caused damage to the leather in my $90k truck, which is completely unacceptable. As a business owner myself, I understand mistakes can happen, but I also believe the true test of a company is how they handle those mistakes. I immediately contacted Autobell the same day (with pictures) and received an auto-reply promising that someone would reach out once I provided my contact information (which I did). It has now been two weeks, and I have yet to receive a single follow-up. The money isn't the issue -- I don't expect any refund. What I do expect is accountability, whether that means correcting the work or at least ensuring it's addressed with the employees so it doesn't happen again. What made it more frustrating was watching three cars actively being wiped while three other employees just stood around. That type of oversight shouldn't happen when customers are paying for the highest service level. I rarely leave poor reviews, but given the damage to my vehicle and the lack of response after two weeks, I felt compelled to share my experience. I hope Autobell takes this as constructive feedback to improve both their service quality and, more importantly, their customer follow-up.

Upon exiting the SolarShine Express Car Wash the vehicle was examined but no noticeable damage was found. Later that afternoon we observed a large crack in the windshield. A claim was filed with SolarShine and this was the response: Dear Mr. Moller, Thank you for taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention regarding your recent visit to SolarShine Express Car Wash. We truly appreciate the opportunity to review your claim. After carefully inspecting the vehicle and reviewing our camera footage from the time of your wash, we did not observe any malfunction or irregular operation of our equipment. Our wash system was functioning properly, and our brushes are designed with controlled, light pressure that would not cause damage to a windshield that is not already compromised. Attached to this email are photos showing what appears to be a rock chip in the windshield. The crack in the glass runs directly through this area. Unfortunately, even a small rock chip can significantly weaken the integrity of the windshield. When glass that has been heated by the sun is suddenly exposed to cold water, the rapid temperature change can cause the glass to expand and contract quickly. If a chip is present, this thermal stress can cause a crack to spread from that point. Based on our findings -- including the presence of the apparent rock chip and confirmation that our equipment was operating normally -- we are unable to accept responsibility for the damage and must respectfully deny the claim. We certainly understand how frustrating windshield damage can be, and this is not the outcome anyone hopes for. Attempted to remove it ourselves and found it slow going and required lots of elbow grease. Finally gave up and called Brian at Ceramic Pro. He and his technicians did an awesome job removing these tar-like balls from the outer layer of paint. Then they applied a ceramic coating to protect their work. The car looks awesome and good as new. I would recommend them without hesitation. The extra cost for the spore removal was well worth it.
