We had to figure out airport-to-hotel transportation on our own since she was arriving at a different time from her teammates. In researching Tampa car services, I called 1st Class first since they are the only one with numerous reviews that are all 5-star. The owner, Victor, immediately put my mind at ease with the professionalism and kindness in our conversation. He took on the pick up himself even though he had an early start the next morning and my daughter's flight was delayed numerous times, arriving later than expected in the evening. Victor even walked in to great her at the airport, help her with luggage, texted us updates, and walked her into the hotel to make sure she was with her team. For me, this is just a totally unexpected level of service and care. Oh, and to top it off, he would not let me tip him additionally after the drop-off. At 10:28, after we had already called the office to find out where she was, she called to let us know she would pick us up in 23 minutes! My response, "I'm sorry but that's really unacceptable to be almost an hour late." She responded "you don't need to be rude about it!" Are you seriously calling me rude for telling you it's not acceptable to be an hour late for a timed pickup based on our boarding time? They offered $20 off as compensation. The total booking was $310 (round trip, plus gratuity), so essentially a 6% discount on our booking to show up an hour late. Terrible customer service! We had a 13 passenger Mercedes Sprinter. On our way to Gainesville we noticed that there was an issue with the air-conditioning. The driver mentioned something about he was afraid that was going to happen. Then we experienced all the following issues on the way home: * Rear AC began pouring water onto 4 teenage passengers in the back row, soaking seats, clothing, blankets, and pillows making 4 seats unusable. * we had four teenagers sitting on the filthy floor with no seatbelts for the majority of the interstate ride home. * when I moved to the front to free up a seat, I noticed the dash had a overdue maintenance warning light. * we had to turn the AC in the back off and blast the AC in the front causing the front windshield to fog because it was so humid inside. * with 40 mins left in the drive the "Driver Fatigue" warning light remained illuminated for the remainder of the drive. * I submitted a formal safety complaint to Olympus Limo and received an apology and a refund of the gas surcharge. It was a really scary and unsafe experience and not something I would've expected from a contracted commercial transportation company. We have videos that we sent to them that I'm not posting here because kids are in them. There are more choices out there, so I just wanted to give you all a heads up. I know many are looking for safe options to go back-and-forth to Gainesville for football games, etc.
