Stopped in for lunch while at a conference at the Marriott across the street. I walked in when the store was empty but shortly after I finished ordering, it got busy inside. Thankfully I beat the crowd since I had 3 separate orders. I noticed after my first two orders I hadn't received the third and they were moving on to newer customers. Somehow the order slip for the middle order was misplaced in a matter of minutes. Thankfully the clerk remembered I modified a wrap to a sandwich- making it easier to verify the sandwich. But honestly, they need something in place so this does not happen- cuz the sandwich maker thought I was just trying to get an extra sandwich. Not cool. I have no clue what was going on but a random man was handing out cash to various workers while they were working on food. Maybe he was paying his staff "under the table" but this should not happen while they're working with food. I ordered a Vito add mayo and avocado spread, no lettuce, no oregano, no basil, cut in half with a medium Diet Coke. My wife ordered a JJBLT add avocado spread with chips and a medium Diet Coke. Her order was just fine, but my sandwich still had the basil and had no avocado spread. The receipt does show that I wasn't charged for the spread, but I did ask for it. Also, the ice machine was down. I know they can't help it being broken, but they should have put some sort of sign on it so people wouldn't constantly try to get ice only to not get any and constantly tell them about it. Plus, both of our drinks were flat, but we weren't in a position to let them know. The person taking our order, Bhanu, seemed in a real hurry to rush our order to get us out of there and they had the chairs up on the tables making it clear we couldn't sit inside. While the food was okay (except for the flat drinks), the overall customer service wasn't good, we didn't feel like valued customers, we felt more like we were inconveniencing them by being there. read more

Food was initially delivered to the correct location - but the order was incomplete. The driver was of no help and insisted that it was everything that I ordered, even though the receipt clearly showed that it wasn't. I called the store and was promised that the rest would be sent. I waited over an hour and called again and was told that it had already been delivered. They described where it had been delivered to and I recognized the description- it had been placed on a table outside a different business in the general vicinity. Nope. I have come to this location many times while working off of Shadeland. The service is always freaky fast and helpful. There are plenty of seats but I take mine to go- they also will deliver close by but I usually just went and picked it up. The food is always reliable. Only downside to location is traffic in parking area since they share area with Starbucks and Burger King- it can be hard to manage the area. read more

I don't know why this JJ location has poor ratings. I have always had great service here, freaky fast, and my sandwiches have always been excellent. Today I ordered a #6 veggie with Kickin' Ranch on the side. Kickin' Ranch is made fresh from scratch in the store. It is unique and a little spicy. It went very well with my sandwich. Kickin' Ranch would be really good to dip chips or cherry peppers in too. This location even has s drive-thru. I have never used it but I see cars zipping through, it looks freaky fast too. read more

I was in the area, wanted something fresh and quick, so Jimmy Johns was an easy choice. I placed my order online for an easy pick up. (Ordering online is fairly easy, allows for contactless payment, and if you join their rewards there are often coupons and perks!) Ten minutes later, I walked in--my order was ready, correct, and nicely bagged for me to grab and go. While I was only inside the store for a moment, I could see the restaurant was clean and well kept up. The big takeaway from this interaction though, was the staff. An ample staff was behind the counter, quickly filling (I'm guessing online orders--no one was waiting in the shop) orders, but still I was welcomed, warmly helped, and thanked. This is the worst Jimmy John's I've ever been to. We asked for no onions, got onions and way too much lettuce on the other sandwich. This review is more about the cleanliness, and just lack of giving sh*t that was apparent there. First off the exterior lights for the store we're not even on, even the Free Smells sign was off. We weren't sure they were open until we saw a person going out. It seriously seemed like people wanted customers to think they were closed so they wouldn't come in because that's probably what was happening. The dining area was unkempt, trash on the floor, every table we checked was dirty, and mind you it wasn't like there was a rush of people there... there were more employees than customers inside. The trash on the floor extended to the food prep area as well. However, there was cleaning supplies available because the least dirty table we found was right next to a bottle of bleach and a toilet scrubber that we stared at while we ate. Food prep area not only had trash on the floor. It had a toddler roaming around it. Pretty sure that's unsafe. Additionally, I'm not fully aware of health codes, but don't people have to be wearing a hairnet or hat during food prep? There seem to be a teenage female, not in a uniform, wearing a hoodie, not wearing a hat prepping sandwiches. We should have probably checked the review before going to this location. read more

My husband and I stopped in to grab a couple of sandwiches last night at about 7:30. This was THE WORST experience I've EVER had at a sandwich shop! I felt like I was in the movie "Get Out". Let me start out by saying that the food isn't bad - when you finally get it. We have ordered from here for pickup and delivery a multitude of times but I've never left a review because I was hoping it was just a fluke. The service is awful. Many times, we have had to call to check on delivery orders after an hour. Once they didn't answer the phone, so I drove to the location only to find that they were closed. One of the workers that was sitting outside said they "must not have got it" (the order) but had a whole box of sandwiches in his car. When our order has been forgotten or skipped over, they don't care to make things right and have even tried just sending us to a different Jimmy Johns despite the receipt having their store number and address on it. Pick up orders have taken almost always more than 25 minutes. Deliveries are hopeless. Good luck getting any service even close to par. read more

I'm working currently and had to leave in a hurry. I ordered Jimmy Johns due to their fast service. It took over an hour for my order to get to my location and the store was less than 2 miles away. The sand which was slipped together and you couldn't tell what was what. The driver himself had a poor attitude that felt like he was more in a hurry rather satisfy his customer. Placed online order for pick up. Went to store they had not even started making which is fine said they were starting them. Went back to my car to wait and saw them putting order in the bag so I went back in to get. As I was walking in door the kid was literally trying to play with my bag of food. I do not appreciate my food being used in a tug of war by children. I will not be returning and I advise the management or owner to retrain staff not only in proper food handling instruction but also on quality customer service. read more

I mean it's Jimmy Johns do you know you will get a good sub. But these guys got a five star because of the workers. The place was immaculate and they still were cleaning/tidying up. The team there greeted every person that entered courteously and intentionally. The register guys excitedly and politely helped a customer get the sandwich he wanted when he just pointed to a picture and said, "That one!" I like to give more then one chance to restaurants, they might be having a bad night. But third time is too much. Do not order delivery from this location. Ever. If you absolutely have to have Jimmy John's and you can't get to another store, go inside and watch them make your sandwich. I have never once gotten a correct delivery order from this store. Tonight one sandwich was correct. The other had no cucumber, cheese, or meats. Literally just the additional bacon we paid for on a sandwich that has roast beef and turkey as it's base proteins. We drove to the store after paying the $2 delivery fee and a $6 tip, they argued about the fee & tip with the excuse that we "should have called and they would have delivered a new sandwich". I've tried exactly that in the past and was told "there are no delivery drivers available right now". They offered no recourse, remade the sandwich, but without the bacon that we had paid an upcharge of 1.99 this time. Worst service ever. I ordered an unwich and was given a sandwich. I didn't notice until I got out to my car and opened my food. Unfortunately I follow a keto diet and could not eat the bread. I took my sandwich and receipt back to the store and explained the issue. The associate took my sandwich, repackaged it, and gave it to a food delivery service worker who added it to his delivery box and left. I requested my unwich and got a head shake that didnt look promosing. The employees then filled all the other orders, stood around, and shook their heads at me as if I was being an inconvenience. This is a horrible location... Poor reception when calling in and the employees have the worst attitudes I've ever encountered. I like Jimmy John's as a company and commend them for being privately owned, however this location is subpar. I don't think I needed to know the previous manager or general manager was fired for being lenient with the geographical area to which they delivered. What is wrong with Jimmy Johns? I went to jimmy Johns today at Shadland and 21st. Street in Indianapolis. I ordered a #9 and ask ed that they put my order in a bag. They would not put my order in a bag so I asked for a refund. They did not want to put my order in a bag or give me napkins they just wanted to argue about it. A legal authorty told me to ask for a bag and napkins at the point of sale and then if my order wasn't right I should ask for a refund. What I believe Jimmy Johns is doing is changing the defintion of what a customer is. I also noticed one of their delivery drivers leaving with a order, and it was in a bag. Evindence they know how to take care of their customers. I just can't understand why it's such a problem with this company to put a carry out order in a bag!! read more

I went here yesterday with my husband. We ordered a philly sandwich, Italian and large fry. These 3 items cost over 30 bucks. The food was great and very filling i wasnt able to eat it all. Even though i was overly full the fries were so awesome I could have ate more. Friendly customer service. I dont like their seating. Its like park benches where food falls through and you see it. Nothing special about this Jommy Jin's. No *positive* special thing, that is. The music was so loud we could hardly hear the cashier and vice versa. That may explain my father not getting the tomatoes he asked for. When our subs were put together and bagged, the cashier held the bag out to me but kinda let it drop before I had a grip. I work near this Jimmy John's. They are so hit or miss that it blows my mind. One day I will order something and it will be well put together and arrive extremely quickly. But then I order at the same time the next week and it take 45 mins and is a mess. It is obvious that they have some staffing issues. It is just really unfortunate because it's not the driver's fault his manager failed to staff enough employees but when my order takes 45 mins I'm not going to give me standard $3-$4 tip for a $6 sandwich. Just really poorly managed. So poorly in fact that I doubt the owner/manager will ever see this review. If that by some chance does happen please get you act together. Like the other reviews posted here my experience was so-so. I was at a local hospital visiting a family member and I ordered some food for pick-up. My order consisted of three sandwiches, three bags of chips, and three drinks. I placed the order using the mobile app. From the hospital it was a 5 minute walk to my car and a 10 minute or so drive to the store. When I arrived there was an employee literally laying on the floor restocking the chips in front of the counter. As I approached the counter the girl at the register just stared at me with a blank expression and did not greet me or anything. I told her I had a pick up order and they were still in the process of preparing my sandwiches. Not a huge deal but at other Jimmy John's locations I've been to, they've had my sandwich made before I could even fill up my drink cup, so just not the "freaky fast" experience you normally get. When they finished making the sandwiches they handed me the bag (no chips, no drinks). I asked about the drinks so the guy pointed in the direction of the register and said "they're up there". I then walked back to the register where I was greeted with a blank expression again to ask for drinks. She handed me three cups which I proceeded to fill up myself. I then had to ask for a drink carrier. Finally, I reached over the counter and grabbed another bag and went over to grab the three bags of chips I ordered. Maybe this is normal for the chips and drinks but it just felt odd having to prepare and bag half of my order myself. I thought about asking for the manager, but the woman customer who came in after me was already complaining to him about the girl at the register. I decided not to stick around since I had hungry people waiting on me. The sandwiches were fine and they got my order right (no mayo, add hot peppers), so no real complaint in that department.
