It's my favorite sandwich maker on earth.. yes a high claim but if you've been waiting for years to come to this side of the country for a #4- turkey tom and a big juicy n crunchy pickle then you know what I'm talking about. I was in town right after Xmas for the famous Urbana09, and ordered my long awaited sandwich to go. The moment I've been waiting for is up on me as I walk in the cold back to the exhibit hall I was working, I unwrap the sandwich for that incredible dreamy first bite but... YIKES.. the sandwich was not a #4... it was something else... with stuff in it (onions) that would be a disgrace for exhibitors as they talk to students for hours...sigh. Such a sad lead-down. Not sure when the next time will be that I get to eat a Jimmy Johns. Alas, JJ workers, a royal mistake was made that couldn't be taken back.

Vito Sub, sadly missing a number of requested toppings.

Food is fresh in the JJ tradition but the staff is not very personable. Not sure they want to be at work.

This is just a fast, fresh and frickin' delicious submarine sandwich. Not every review can be a literary masterpiece.

This location really is freaky fast. Probably because they will get something wrong on your order or forget something EVERY SINGLE TIME.

They offer a variety of hot food items as well as beverages, prepared sandwiches and salads, and pre-packaged snacks. Coming to St. Louis and not having Toasted Ravioli is a crime in my opinion, so I was happy to see that they had included this regional staple on their menu. I had planned on ordering some. Unfortunately, I saw a sign posted stating that they do not offer any of the hot food items to-go, and they were being served on reusable, acrylic plates. There was a woman there complaining that she'd purchased $20 barbecue ribs and couldn't take her leftovers to-go because they have no packaging available for that. She was upset, but the sign was clearly posted. I grabbed overpriced chips and a Minute Maid apple juice that cost me $8.25. Definitely "tourist attraction" pricing. The cashier was nice and provided fast service, so it was an overall good experience.

There is also a large Bavarian style pretzel and a nice selection of cold beverages. The prices were reasonable for a cafe inside a national park. The food was pretty good - especially for a cafe inside a national park. I would eat here again if visiting the Arch and museum.

I got the pick two with half a hot sandwich and chili. The food came, and it was decent. I thought the sandwich could have used more chicken. The chili was ok, too. Ceci was so great she made the experience great.
