    Vegetarian 7-inch Sandwich

Snarf's Sandwiches MX is located in the Washington Avenue Historic District and is in a convenient location for a meal before or after a movie at MX Movies & Bar. The Vegetarian Sandwich (avocado, sprouts, provolone) is one of my favorites. I personally like it with all of the available toppings: mayo, mustard, hot peppers, onion, lettuce, tomato, pickle, seasoning, and oil. The bread and vegetables are fresh. The option of gluten-free bread is appreciated, but it is disappointing that it costs an extra $2.95, so I usually get the wheat bread instead.

Reuben. The dressing came on the side.

The menu is really interesting. I liked the bread - not too hard. Macaroni salad was tasty. Potato salad was tasty. The gooey butter cakes weren't like what we call gooey butter cakes where I'm from. It was much chewier with a harder base, but it was yummy. The Reuben was good. We got it to go and the dressing came on the side. I thought this was weird at first, but it allowed me to customize how much I wanted, which wasn't a lot. My only complaint is the Sammy needed more kraut. Husband got pastrami and cheese. I'd eat here again.

So we stopped by Snarf sandwiches The staff was great and provided awesome customer service. I wasn't that hungry so I got the following items but it was killa good Cup of soup and bread

Corned Beef, Egg & Cheese (provolone)
    Nosa E.

First time in STL and needed a quick, small bite. Found this while walking around and gave it a shot not expecting much. From entry, staff were very friendly and not shy on making recommendations. Wanting to keep it simple, I got the corned beef, egg, and cheese (provolone) on a croissant. The sandwich was perfect. Flavorful and it all complemented nicely. The croissant was perfectly toasty. This place was more than I was expecting. 5

All of the meat on one side and toppings on another

The service was horrible with rude employees. Sandwich was completely rushed with toppings on one side and the meat and cheese on another. The food was disappointing especially for the price.

    Pastrami

Got the pastrami sandwich with everything on it besides the hot peppers. My God it was amazing. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh. The pastrami was great and bread was just as good. Food came out quick and the restaurant was extremely clean. If I am ever back in the city I will come back.

Nice sandwiches. Fresh and friendly service. Drinks options are aplenty. Soda fountain is labeled "Excel" pure cane sugar. The sandwich I had was an Italian with some good meat, lettuce, and tomato. It was VERY filling as was the sandwich that my wife had. I could definitely see this place as a quick eats for the locals that work in the nearby vicinity. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for a quick and easy going experience. Note the wonderful picture on the wall that my wife insisted she pose with. Funny artwork. Clean.

First time trying their sandwiches. Anytime I see "chicken salad sandwich" I HAVE to order it fully loaded so that's what I did here! I ordered through the Yelp app then proceeded to pick up my food which took about 20 minutes. My food was ready when I arrived. The chicken salad is well seasoned! I was expecting the flavor to come from the toppings but I was pleasantly surprised! I purchased the smallest size since it was my first time. I just might pay another visit.

Amazing food of a local STL Chain that's synonymous with STLs vibe! Great and VAST variety of sandwiches, ice creams, sauces, coffee, etc! It's like a Starbucks for the Lou and has been so for 2-ish decades. Only getting better, have a mobile app which is cool. And the prices have stayed as valuable and economically viable as ever. Lovely food. So good it was eaten before a picture could be taken.

Snarf's is amazing. That's all there is to it! They rate up there with Jersey Mike's as my favorite sandwich shops of all time. The meat is delicious. Lots of fresh toppings. And the bread! The bread is scrumptious. I've tried a number of sandwiches here. Never had a bad one. Last visit, my dad got a salad. It looked really good! Might have to try that next. They have Excel soda, which I love. It's a local craft soda. Very tasty. Service was quick. Plenty of seating. Just an all around great experience. Keep it up Snarf's!!! Love the logo.

Food was good, but I waited over an hour to get a sandwich and kids meal. No food is good enough for that kind of wait.

Since this place is such a staple, we figured we had to give it a try. The place was absolutely packed, which clearly shows it's a local favorite. Even with how busy they were, our pickup order was ready on time -- actually before the scheduled pickup since I arrived about five minutes early. The atmosphere definitely had that classic local sandwich shack vibe and seemed like it would make a great casual lunch spot for almost any occasion. Unfortunately, the food itself just didn't live up to the reputation for us. We ordered the hot salami sandwiches, which they're known for, but they were extremely greasy and the only flavors that really stood out were mustard and grease. We expected a lot more flavor and balance considering it's their specialty item. We also placed a large luncheon order of 10 sandwiches. Everyone was satisfied overall and the food was decent enough, but nothing really stood out or made us excited to come back. We personally prefer Adriana's for both flavor and overall quality. One of the biggest disappointments was that none of the sandwiches had cheese on them, even though we paid an extra $2 per sandwich for the garlic cheese bread upgrade. That was frustrating considering the additional charge. Honestly, I'm guessing we may have just caught them on an off day because it's obvious this spot has a loyal following. We still appreciate supporting local STL businesses and can understand why so many people love it -- it just wasn't quite the experience we were expecting.
