DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM JIMMY! Bought a car from Jimmy's about a year ago. Driven it less than 1000 miles since and have already had to put over $3000 into the car for repairs. Shortly after purchasing it I noticed a clicking sound (within the 30 day State lemon law period) in one of the wheels. I took it in to have him fix it (I dealt with owner Jimmy for everything) and he assured me nothing was wrong. Gave me some BS about 4-wheel drive... He was also very defensive and a bit confrontational about my concerns with the vehicle. I am now paying out the ear to repair an issue related to that very sound I brought up with him. This is just the latest in a long list of repairs I have had to make. Go elsewhere. read more

I bought a car from jimmy's last year and i had nothing but a good experience. Jimmy himself was very friendly and helpful and took the time to help me choose something that was right for me. Poor quality body work. Several issues after picking up my 2020 Ford Fusion. Had to point out bumper alignment issue and paint overspray residue. After already being 2+ days late on delivering the car I had to wait another few hours to have the issues resolved. Buffer burn mark on the top of the trunk they refused to fix. Contacted my insurance company and they are having it fixed at another location. Poor overall experience. read more

this place is only good for inspections and oil changes the rest I would not recommend over priced overcharged and my cars still had the same problem that I took it in for. I took my car in for an inspection and told him that all the dash lights were on to check it out he said it needed a new battery and a new sensor O2 sensor charge me $600 I picked it up 15 minutes later I broke down and had to be towed went to another mechanic told me I should've paid that much for a battery in an O2 sensor. Call Jimmy up gave me some bull story he wouldn't even come and tell me or help me out I had to get a tow truck he didn't do good by me at all I went to another place it was a no-brainer It was my alternator and plus I had missing parts on my engine that The tow truck guy noticed right away the missing part and a cracked pipe that should've been seen it was so obvious never go back there again read more

Purchased our Pickup from Jimmy, Feb 2016 with service plan. He and his staff have always been a pleasure to deal with. When we purchased the vehicle Jimmy said he would always be there for us and thought I hope so. He was, we have gone back for oil changes and a covered warranty item they have remembered us and always taken the time to talk and he has also given how to advice to us and my son. We highly recommend this reputable dealership! My son and hubby looked for a long time for a pick up as we needed something for loading and moving items with projects around the house and found it here at Jimmy's Auto Outlet and hope to have it for many years! This place is the worst 1st they have the worst customer service they are rude, hard to talk to, and liars. 2nd they do horrible body work, vehicle parts where not fastened with the right hardware which caused parts to drag as I was driving down the road a week after I pick it up. 3rd most of the vehicles on there lot have been in accidents repaired and sold as non accident vehicles. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my experience with 'Jimmy's Auto Collision'. Not only did Glen do a wonderful repair job on my car (I was involved in a minor "fender bender"), but he also was able to schedule an appt for the work the following day. To top that off, he managed to complete a beautiful repair job on my car super fast (a day and half), and within the range of a seriously bare bones insurance adjustment. Prior to going 'Jimmy's' for a repair quote, I was given repair work prices that were up to double the amount that my insurance company was willing to pay! Glen took the time to seek out parts with me that were affordable and within my budget. It was sincerely refreshing to work with such an honest, professional, knowledgable and courteous collision specialist (especially since I am woman). They also arranged, via my insurance company, a car rental and pickup from their location. All in all, they made a normally dreadful experience a breeze! I would recommend their outstanding services to anyone! They are now my official "go to place", should I need body work in the future (hopefully, I won't! LOL). read more

I am watching my wife struggle every morning with a car we bought from Jimmy's auto last year. When we first looked at the car there were a number of issues which Jimmy assured us he would repair, fix and take care of. Suffice to say , Jimmy not only did not do any of this, but actually did nothing but hold our car a few days. After 8 mos of back and forth with Jimmy (where he effectively pushed us out of the Lemon Law coverage period) the care was still not running properly . In addition, we caught Jimmy in an outright lie when he held our car for 3 days to inspect why the horn was not working after his last repair. He indicated it would be a repair approaching $300 and that both horns would need to be replaced. The next day I took the vehicle to my local garage for an oil change and not only was the oil changed in less than 30 minutes but he had fixed the horn for less than $20. We had bonafidely caught Jimmy in a lie. Since this incident he has refused to correspond or even speak with us. I have been there enough to note that Jimmy will rip off an elderly woman to a young hard working 18 year buying his first car. I watched as within the same hour long period Jimmy and his staff told 3 different people who had bought cars from him and brought them in for repair, that they had issues with relay switches. It seems every time I was in Jimmy's for a repair it was a relay switch and I began noticing that everyone else who came in for repairs of vehicles they bought from him were facing the same relay switch problem. I do not think there's anything wrong with the relay switch, I think it's more like the relay switch is Jimmy's own magical mechanism for bullshitting people out of legitimate warranty repairs and pushing them beyond the lemon law window. Beware of Jimmy's Relay Switch scheme. (one of the more upsetting scenes with this was watching jimmy furnish this explanation to a father who became annoyed with his daughter, who started crying (this was their 3rd time back with the car in the same week) and left with the father actually shaking Jimmy's hand but annoyed with his daughter. This steams me as such dishonestly has ramifications that go deeper and further than a purchase. Jimmy's attitude during the buying process was very accommodating - we'll do whatever it takes to make you happy, don't worry I won't let you drive out of here unhappy with your car, etc... The moment the deal was signed, Jimmy did nothing but avoid us, did not even say hello when we were there for subsequent repairs (skulked by us and gave us a look, actually) and then the one time I insisted on speaking with him he made mention that "...he knows...women don't understand and she's being a pain in the ass, isn't she" thinking he could possibly build camaraderie with me against my wife (?!) I have three children ranging late teens to mid 20s. They, like all kids in this age group, are desperate for a car so they can be mobile and independent. We all know how tough it is today for their age group with only part time jobs available and low hourly wages. More importantly than relaying a negative experience about, in my opinion a dishonest, immoral and low caliber auto dealer, I think it more important to deter these kids from falling prey to such a scummy dealer like him. I've had my three kids spread the word about Jimmy's on their cell phone and through their social networks so that all their friends in the greater Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, Wappingers and Pleasant Valley area avoid him. I urge you to do the same. IN MY OPINION - DON'T BUY FROM JIMMY'S AUTO OUTLET. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND TELL ALL YOUR KIDS TO DO THE SAME. I have been a very satisfied customer of Jimmy's for about four years now. I purchased an older vehicle with a fair amount of mileage on it, and I have been very happy both with the vehicle, and the service provided by Jimmy. I have had a few minor problems with the car, an occasional check engine light, etc. Jimmy has always told me to bring the car right in, and on at least five occasions has not charged me for fixing the problem!! All of Jimmy's staff is professional, courteous, and kind. My car has needed no major repairs for the past four years, and now has close to 120,000 miles on it.
