This Jimmy's works for me. For some reason there is usually an annoying lineup at the other locations, but this one has always been chill and let's me get to know the barista, or at least recognize them and remember for next time. Then there's the Frank & Oak, one of my fav clothing stores ever attached right to the coffee shop. While there are narrow spots along the windows with a fantastic view onto west Queen West, why not peruse the latest that F&O has on offer? This location used to be for men only, with a hair salon in the back as well, but they had some cutbacks in business recently and closed the ladies store on the north side of Queen and consolidated the women's clothes alongside the men's in this location. It's brightly lit, very friendly and welcoming environment to get your coffee. Recommended! read more

My family jokes that every time I move into a new apartment, I somehow get closer in vicinity to a Jimmy's Coffee location. I'm obsessed. I love my coffee as simple as it gets: medium roast with nothing added, and Jimmy's nails the flavour. It could be sweltering and muggy af outside and I'll STILL insist on their drip coffee. The previous manager of this location would have my order going as soon as I walked through the door. Everyone is always super cool and friendly. This Queen West location has an added bonus of being connected to a Frank and Oak store. You can do some browsing of their cute clothing afterwards without having to step outside! read more

Decent enough coffee shop on Queen Street W I guess. The window facing the street is ok for people watching. Toronto's "try-hardism" never ceases to amaze me and yet despite the money, the concentration of power and influence in this city, the so-called "cooler" neighbourhoods like Queen Street W are a strange mix of sketchy tattoo parlours, even sketchier people walking around, smelly vintage shops, corporate cookie cutter chain stores and half-decent coffee shops. I will never live in this city but if you're in a fox, there's a spot of decency here. read more

Really amazing coffee here (disclaimer: not an expert). I've also had their teas and those are just as good. The baristas are always nice, friendly, and helpful - they're also amazingly fast! The only thing is that this place has literally just one table and opens into a clothing store, so probably not the best environment to work or hang out. That being said, if you happen to come in on a nice weekend afternoon when it's pretty much empty, there are a couple of window seats looking out into the street where you can enjoy some people watching. :) read more

Downside: not a lot of seats. And the space is quite tight since it's shared with Frank and Oak, a clothing store, so the coffee line invaded the seating area. Not the best place to study or work unfortunately for these reasons, but during off hours it's actually really quiet! But everything else were upsides! The staff are super nice and the treats selection is pretty solid. There are 3 types of vegan cookies (they're quite sweet) and 2 types of vegan muffins. The almond croissant is to die for. The cappuccinos (and other drinks) are also very solid - a bit on the sweeter side, if that appeals to you too. They have every kind of non-dairy alternative milk - soy, almond, coconut, oat, lactose free etc. Lastly, the drink and baked goods prices are more affordable than Starbucks (under $7 for a drink and treat) :) read more

Imagine in one hand, you have a coffee shop. In the other hand, you have a clothing store. Now put your hands together. Welcome to Jimmy's on Queen. This coffee shop is a great little extension of the now Toronto-iconic Jimmy's chain. This is one of the smaller locations so seating is limited. If you're lucky, you can grab a seat in the window, but this shop is always perfect to grab-and-go while perusing Frank and Oak or strolling "one of the world's trendiest neighbourhoods." Interested to get my latte fix and decided to give this place a go. Upon entering I could see it was fairly busy and small inside but beautifully adorned with displays of merch and pastries. I ordered a "Unicorn Poop" cookie and a matcha green tea latte. Cookie was delicious but the latte left much to be desired; it was tasteless. I usually order the same latte from my other locations but this one stood out to me as not worth the money spent. It appears that they cheap out on something. read more

Found this coffee place on google maps due to it's high ratings and certainly understand why it is so highly rated!! Coming from Melbourne, Australia where coffee competition is tight, I can say that the iced mocha here is the best I have ever had! Definitely a place worth visiting if you are a coffee connoisseur. read more

I didn't know about Jimmy's coffee until today and a quick Google search turned out numerous locations. This one on queen west is a very simple place with a few bar stools. I think can only seat 10 at a time but most customers ordered to go anyways. There was a long line up. The menu is pretty simple with a few seasonal specialties. I had the s'more latte. The cups are smaller than a lot of coffee place but the flavour of the coffee was very pure and intense that you only need one to be satisfied. I found this location interesting coz you can walk straight into a man's clothing store - frank and oaks, and at the end of the clothing store is a Barber Shop... I will definitely be on the look out for Jimmy's coffee in the future read more

I love the coffee and the vibe here except for they are not environmentally conscious. It's hard to get a for-here cup. If you ask them for a for-here cup they serve you in a water glass which is too small and hard to hold given it is hot. Is it too hard to buy some proper mugs like every other coffee shop in the world and train the baristas to ask if the coffee is for here or to go? Fast service and the matcha almond iced latte was awesome. It's not too sweet and the almond milk is creamy. I like how soy milk is put out in a jug along side the milk and cream jugs. The osap fund tip jar is also funny. And they have dog treats on the side. read more

As a visitor to Toronto, I had gone to about a 5 or 6 coffee shops before coming to Jimmy's (it was on my list from a previous trip but I hadn't gotten around to it). While I love coffee and I might even be a coffee snob, I am not a fan of pretentious coffee culture. Do the things that make you happy with your coffee. When you walk into a coffee shop, expectations are set by what you see, how you're treated and what kind of machinery/menu the shop has. This place came off as really pretentious. I almost couldn't stomach how much of a performance everything was. In the end, I got my espresso, found it to be decent but not great (despite the equipment and what seemed like really skilled baristas). For a place that comes off so pretentious, their coffee blends didn't have much of any explanation on them (they just had what some folks might think are cool/witty names) and were priced pretty high. I probably won't visit another Jimmy's after this experience. read more
