Jimmy / Valley Properties was hired by the previous owners of our home to renovate. Since we moved in we have had plumbing issues, floor installation issues, an out door fireplace that was jerry rigged to look brand new which was technically an indoor fireplace from the 90's and a complete fire hazzard, our kitchen sink fell out of the hole. None of our showers have been water proofed so we have a hole in our kitchen coming from down stairs. If you want cheap incompetent work hire this guy! I don't understand how he still has a license. I forgot to mention that Jimmy favorite sentence is " I'm on the phone right now. I'll call you right back " which he never does. He promised things will be done and it never is as he said. His employees are rude and cut tiles in my patio, spreading the dust all over (my box also stored in the patio) without covering them. They wash their paint brushes in the brand new bathroom cabinets and didn't bother to clean it. They go to the bathroom without flushing the toilet. The guy that did the demolition stole the medicine cabinet belonging to the smaller bathroom and some night lights. I have used Jimmy's Handyman Service twice now on a few rental properties. Jimmy is responsive and is very experienced with all facets of handyman service. The lady on the phone has no ownership for mistakes. She LIES. She took over 72 hours to turn in a simple estimate, then another week to schedule a return appointment which she said had to be made in 2 appointments because they do not work past 5 (even if they owe you a favor for doing such a horrible job with you all week). Then, when they returned they came, said they had to go to home depot and would come back. I texted her saying this is ridiculous! You did not make a supply list when you did an estimate a week ago and knew exactly what you needed? So, she cancelled saying, "she did not need to tolerate such behavior". that is Californians for you, flakey, egotistical, can never admit when they made a mistake, and the flakiest on the planet. I cannot say enough about Jimmy's Handyman Service! I had the entire interior of my house painted and some drywall repaired that was water-damaged. They also replaced several ceiling fans, light fixtures, shower diverters, and faucets. Phenomenal job! I could not be more satisfied! Looks like a completely new home! If you want to waste your time, this is the service for you. He quoted me a good price, and then I spent 3 days trying to set the appointment. His famous words are, "I'll call you right back", and then never does. Appointment was for 9 a.m. today, and no show. Waited an hour and called him. He said I'll call you right back, and it's been 1.5 hours and still no call and no show. Can't comment on the repair work because he would need to actually show up. read more

Jimmy and his crew were recommended to me by my real estate agent, so I felt comfortable in giving them a chance. Within a few hours of contacting him he came over to the house and was able to quickly get me an estimate to do all of the work that I needed done. His price was significantly less than the other quotes I had received, which made me a bit leery because usually if it seems to good to be true then it probably is. I needed old bathroom tile ripped out and new tile installed, old faucets removed and new ones put in, my living room painted, tile backsplash installed, and some new appliances installed. His crew came in and did a very good job to make my house look great so that I could get it quickly on the market to sell. Although my home was nice to begin with, the work they did made it that much better and my home sold for full asking price in ten (10) days. If I had to give their quality of work a score on a scale of 1-10, they would receive a 9. I'm a true believer that no one is perfect and we can all continue to improve. I'm not sure that I would ever give anyone a perfect 10, so kudos to Jimmy and his crew for earning a 9. Unlike many business owners that I've dealt with in the past, Jimmy went above and beyond to assist me with a few challenges that I encountered along the way. He was a big help when I had an issue with a defective double wall oven that I had purchased from Sears and a new shower faucet set that turned out to be missing it's cartridge. Thanks Jimmy! If there is one area that I think can be improved upon it would be a little better communication from their end. It was hit and miss at times depending on how busy Jimmy and his crew were with other jobs. This is the only reason that I gave them a 4 out of 5 rating. I wish Yelp would allow 1/2 star ratings because I would have rather given Jimmy and his crew 4.5 stars. For anyone looking for quality work at an inexpensive price, I would highly recommend Jimmy's Handyman Service.
