    BOMMMBBB Corned beef hash.
    Peter T.

Let's be honest. If you went to college and you make over $100k there is little to like about Santee. I live in Del Cerro and sadly Santee is an accessible commercial hub. I like Lowe's, I like Mast playground and Mary's for my kids, that's about it. Jimmy's was a great discovery. I was waiting for Costco to open and stumbled in here. The Food is incredible. IMO, it's better than The Trails and in quite a few ways, better than D.Z Akins. The best item here hands down is the corned beef hash. It doesn't come in a can like at The Trails. It's freshly freshly made. The best part is they even have hashbrowns here. The Trails is so lackluster, they give you potatoes. Lazy. The enviornment here is unusual. It's freshly redone but theres a bar with hard alcohol and beer on display? There's wood metal stuff everywhere? It's an industrial modern vibe. The service is medium to solid. Not friendly, not disrespectful, but straight forward and sometimes they know what they're doing. Not sure how family friendly it is but it's definitely get your shit done in the morning dad friendly.

    Fish & Chips Dinner $17.99

The outside is deceiving. The inside is more updated. There are booths and tables. Bar and sports tv area. Great ambiance for all ages. On the menu, there is a little bit of everything for whatever you are craving. From what I ate and was served, meals have the home cooked feel. The service was surprisingly super fast. From placing our order to actually eating was about 10min. It wasn't too busy either though. Fish & chips with a choice of soup or salad $17.99 Eggs Benedict Biscuit & Gravy $17.99 Half stack of pancakes $10.99

    Kids menu

The couple of times I been there the food, customers service and atmosphere is always good. What I love and recently noticed was the kids menu!! It shows pictures. This worked so great for my family because my child is non-verbal and can't always express what he wants to eat. Showing him this menu and him having options to choose was amazing. Keep up the good work on everything!!

South of the border omelette with home fries
    Larry P.

I asked the hostess for a booth and she looked and saw that there was one free so we immediately were seated. I ordered a south of the border omelette, with extra cheese. It has shredded beef, tomatoes, jalapeños, cheddar cheese. Everything was great, except that there weren't hardly any tomatoes, next time I'll order extra tomatoes just like I ordered extra cheese. The pancakes were huge and thick, not my favorite thing, but they weren't bad. I also asked for extra butter since they never bring enough, but it's not really butter. It's margarine and I hate margarine, but that's what most restaurants serve. They don't have V-8 so I ordered a large tomato juice, and a cup of coffee, and the coffee was great. It was very dark and rich. I would definitely recommend this place, great service, clean, and great food.

Skimpy eggs but best potato bites ever
    M A.

After my physical therapy appointment at Sharps hospital days ago (Wednesday 2/5/25 11am), I was feeling pancakes. I figured, I'm in another city, try something different other than Denny's. And, so, there he was, looking right at me from across the street - Jimmy's of Santee. My partner and I walked in the restaurant, immediately greeted with a warm smile by the hostess. I had requested for an "ocean view" table (my code word for window ). Got my wish and there we sat, at a firm cushioned booth, with a window. I liked already. As I looked around the restaurant, I saw modern decor, various dining rooms, spacious aisles, lots of windows and a perfectly pleasant vibe throughout. I thought to myself, I wonder if this place is lit in the evening (noticing a couple bar areas, one each side of the restaurant). Side note, some pictures on walls wouldn't hurt. Our breakfast meals were delicious. The potatoes were surprisingly crispy golden lightly tasty fried potato bites. One of the best I've had yet! Our scrambled eggs appeared skimpy, nonetheless, our combo dish was 99 % perfect. Our server was easy going and on top of things. From his good natured greeting, politeness, attentiveness and patience, he was a 5 star. I forgot his name. Ugh. He read my mind before I asked for the check. "Yes, I would like a to-go box for my potatoes, please," I replied when he asked me if I needed a box I also want to give a shout out to Faith, the hostess. Positive and friendly. Such a nice way to start one's morning as one walks into a restaurant. Her smile's a hit. Hey Faith, it's time to go to Mexico! My first time at Jimmy's was a wonderful experience. I would come back again. I recommend

The meat lover skillet is amazing

Visited Jimmy's for Saturday lunch and we were able to order from both breakfast and lunch menu. It was quiet, perfect for families. Plenty of space, making it an ideal venue for private events. The dishes were generous portions and Service is prompt. We tried the new appetizer menus and it was enough for three, and I would recommend sharing them among four. Located within a plaza, parking is abundant, adding to the convenience. Indoor and outdoor seating options available. They offer gluten-free cheese and meat options, The restaurant has multiple screens make it as a go-to spot for game day gatherings 5 stars for an old fashion American family diner place . Good portions, good prices, to the point, no extra.

The food was weird and not good. The service was also bad. We won't go here again. If you do, make sure you read the menu really well.

(This is literally the only place I've found that has carajillos on the menu.) Brussels sprouts are crisp but not greasy. I ordered a side of gyros and got a decent-sized portion. My hubby ordered a meat-free pizza for Lent, and was still happy with it. (They have gf and cauliflower crusts too, so !) We have both decided that this is the place for pizza in Santee. The weather is perfect in the spring for outdoor dining. There are shades for privacy since the restaurant's got grocery store traffic. The throwback rock music suits the establishment, and isn't too loud if you want a good convo. There are also lots of TVs both inside and out. Today's server, Lizzy, was so amazing! Super attentive, patient with questions, and quick to offer refills. And so relaxed and cheerful for a Friday afternoon! Thanks for a really nice dining experience, Lizzy!

Nah man, we don't need to return to Junction 52. It just wasn't very good. The price point didn't…read morehit either. We were seated on the patio. The NFL Wildcard game was on all the TVs, so that was a plus. We started with drinks. A pint of Buenaveza was $7, which is relatively normal pricing. But 9 bucks for a pint of Ashland Seltzer is crazy. 2 Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sliders $16 Pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, house sauce and shoestring fries. They were decent, but not even remotely spicy. Chicken was cooked well with crunchy exterior and not dried out inside. Zero spice. If anything, the sauce on them was sweet. 2 Double Double Wagyu Beef Sliders $18 American cheese (subbed pepper jack), grilled onions, house sauce and shoestring fries. Inedible. Two overcooked hockey pucks in a bun. Two bites were all I could stomach. 18 bucks for burnt burgers. The fries were good and plentiful. I appreciated the pickle wedge. Service was sluggish at best. At one point we had to flag down a different server and ask to have ours return. We had been waiting, with empty drink glasses, to order our meals. She was friendly enough, just not very attentive. Nah, don't need to return.
