They had me call the insurance company and file a claim and told me to make sure that they were there when the claims adjuster came. They also said that if I decided that I didn't want them to do my roof they would charge me $1,000 and go about their business if I hired someone else and boy should I have. The week before my roof was supposed to be done I had to have emergency surgery to deliver my newborn because of extreme circumstances. I asked them to postpone coming to start on my roof for a week or two because of the situation. The next day my husband came home for a break from the hospital to find roofers on top of my house. I hadn't even known they had entered my property yet. The roof itself was well done. I had a new roof within a matter of days. However, the mess left behind was ridiculous and I had to have someone come clean my yard of roofing nails, bags, some shingles, and the large antennae that they so kindly threw into my neighbors yard. I've been arguing for a year now over the job badly done and now they are still throwing a fit over the money not paid when I told them I wasn't paying anymore until we talked about what parts of the job were not done and I should not be charged for. I've had a terrible experience with Action Roofing…read more Communication with them has been terrible throughout the process and has only gotten worse. This is my first time buying a home and my home inspector suggested that due to signs of leaking and other obvious signs of damage I should have a professional roofer come have a look. Action Roofing came out and gave me a quote. We arranged with the sellers to deduct the quoted price from the cost of the home. Once we purchased the home, we had Action Roofing do the work. About a week after the "repairs" were made, there was a rain storm and water came into the home - damaged the paint on the wall in our bathroom in two places (one of them quite large) and leaked through the ceiling in our kitchen below. I contacted the rep and he said there was no way for them to know that there was a leak. I pointed out in the home inspection (which I had provided a copy to him prior to his trip out) and I showed him what I found in the attic - where it was clear to me that water has come through. He sent someone out to seal around the pipes that stick out the top of the roof (which I was told should have been done already) and we've had several storms since and though it's less, we've still continued to get water in our home. I asked him what else could be done and he said we would have to pay him double the initial quote to get the problem properly fixed... A problem that either should have been noted by him prior to any work being done, or perhaps was caused by the work that was done by them... either way, I'm not impressed. I've tried to get the rep to come to an agreement on the repairs - I've asked him to give some concession on the cost seeing as how this was their oversight, but now, the sales rep has completely stopped responding to my emails. I was willing to pay for more work even though I feel like this should be covered by their warranty, but the cost that was quoted was way to high. I am VERY displeased with the work, lack of response, and frankly complete lack of professionalism and accountability that Action Roofing has shown in this matter. We've since had another roofing company out and they looked at what has been done and said that it would not hold up and they were not surprised that we were continuing to get water in the home. I'm likely going to have to pay another company to fix what Action Roofing was unable to fix. To make matters worse, the company that I've had out since tells me that composite roofs in San Antonio don't generally last longer than 15 years and that's the age of our roof. How is it that I NEVER heard that from Action Roofing prior to having these repairs made? I probably could have had the sellers pay for the new roof or at least a large chunk of it, but no. I made the mistake of trusting Action Roofing. Lesson learned.

So I ended up fixing my chimney with them which caused water leakage. They organized a reasonably priced general contractor for me and managed much of the work which was not really their task anymore. Trenton, the supervisor, was helpful. He listened to my concerns about previous flooding areas, and placed the new downspouts where flooding shouldn't be a problem. Crystal, at the home office, is really sharp! She handled the scheduling and billing. A month after the installation, I noticed that a couple of the downspouts were a bit too long, I called Crystal, and she quickly sent someone out to fix them. I received several quotes for the flashing repair and was impressed with Gilbert's due diligence in assessing my whole roof. I had two assessors come out that never got on the roof!
