I think the helpful staff and the great selection was clearly attributed to the old store manager, Pat. He's no longer there and it's really obvious. Such a huge bummer because now it doesn't feel like anyone there really knows much about wine. They've moved things around, raised a few prices, and some of my go to bottles are no longer available. And I'm not talking expensive wines - I just mean the basic, every day, good bottles between $10 - $25. I hope they get better. I like supporting the local store and would hate to go back to the big box.

So many beers that I had never had before that you could buy in singles. They came up to the Twin Cities a couple years later. Still pretty sweet for awhile. The times they are a changin'. These days, at least half of the shelf space that they used to have for beer is now THC and NA beverages. What they do have for beer almost never rotates and there is way too much emphasis on the local. Total Wine can still be fun if you visit one somewhere that you have never been before to find some new to you beers. The only reason I go them locally anymore is the sheer sake of convenience. Prices are up everywhere, but it doesn't seem like Total Wine has the bargain prices compared to their competition that it used to either.

They have a full wall of cold beers, quite a few local 6 pack options, and tons of isles full of wine. They also have top shelf liquor, a wine tasting bar, and accessories if you want to do some shopping. They deal with kegs if you order ahead, and they also have pop, energy drinks, and mixers available. If there is something special you are looking for, just ask the manager and they will get it to you the next time the distributor has a drop off.

I don't know if it's because I'm a brown man and maybe I'm the only brown man he sees come in. But it's been making me uncomfortable, the lady's are always nice and delightful. So it's one of the reasons I go back but man lately I've been real uncomfortable with the guys following me or watching me on what I'm doing.
