If you haven't been to JIMS, you are absolutely missing out!! Go immediately. Jims has been an iconic staple of North Medford for as long as I've been alive (born in 1999). The creativity with their menu and the vibes of the inside are UNMATCHED. And the food... THE FOOD - leaves me speechless every time. Each sandwich is made with love and deliciousness. Portion sizes are big. They never miss, no matter what you order. YOU MUST TRY THE JAMES RIVER SAUCE - goes great on everything. #Jimsmarketforever #bboysinthemorning #jamesriver #iconic Ps. We added egg to one of our sandwiches and they surprised us with two smiley faces made with James river sauce!! C'mon now - that's the happiest thing I've ever seen. Made my entire life

this place was a staple of my childhood. we all remember $1.00 b-boys. I have to say...I'm officially done with this racket. its been trash for a while but I went by today to grab their "clogger" breakfast sandwich and a coffee and it ran me $14 and change. no big deal. but then I actually looked at the sandwich they charged me $10.25 for and I knew it was time to move on. soggy eggs, one strip of sad burnt bacon, just a pathetic attempt

Jim's is an absolute institution in Medford. The food is always top notch, especially if you find yourself nursing a headache from the night before. Their sandwiches are creative and there is something on the menu for everybody. All items are made to order and the service is fast and efficient. My go to sandwich has always been the J-boy. Comes with fried egg, cheese, pork roll, a hash brown and James River BBQ sauce. Absolutely

For me Jim's subs are superior to the famous bobs. Their options are insane, and subs QUALITY. I kept it low key my first time and got their cranberry walnut chicken salad. I've had a lot of chicken salads in my life and this was one of the best I've ever had. Not too much Mayo, cranberries were plentiful and not too much, my roommate who was petrified of the thought of cran and walnuts in chicken salad, crushed my second half. Excited to try MORE.

Imagine finding your soul mate. You smile ear to ear and count every waking minute before you get to see them again. Now imagine your soul mate is a breakfast sandwich. Because this sausage, egg, and cheese, with a tasty golden hash brown and some tangy bbq sauce inside a sub bun is the closest thing to soul mate your stomach will ever find. Every measly Dunkins one will fail to compare, and you'll be left to wonder why you didn't save a little bit of Jim's breakfast sandwich in your pocket, like the entirely unapologetic food loving savage you are. This place is a definite hidden gem tucked away in suburbia -- "Home of the original b-boys" is embedded on their sign outside. "Why are your breakfast sandwiches called 'B-boys'?", I asked. The owner, Justin, told me, "Well, when this place started, this group of guys always came here to eat together for breakfast -- so often they'd call themselves "the breakfast boys"... so we named our breakfast sandwiches after them." This place is not only adorable in its own right -- the owners are so welcoming, they told us the whole backstory to this place. "Who's Jim?" / "Oh I used to be Jim but now my son is", said the original owner. His name is Paul :P... Apparently this used to be a butcher shop in a little lakeside neighborhood, next to cute ice cream shops and vacation homes in the 70's. The owner purchased it, kept the name, and turned it into a breakfast sandwich Mecca, where people come in droves just to hang out and eat. Every time I walk in, it looks like Saved By The Bell's "The Max" or Beverly Hills 90210's "the Peach Pit", groups of teenagers and adults alike just hanging out over coffee and breakfast sandwiches, as if this place is the regular spot where they like to talk about what they're doing, what they're going to do in life ... so cute I can't describe it and do it any justice. I've been back so much I think they need to name a new breakfast sandwich after me;).

Been coming here since the early 90s -- get yourself a b-boy, you won't regret it! I love that a place like this is still around.

The wings were huge, juicy, and perfectly crunchy with tons of flavor. The pizza had a crisp crust and really flavorful sauce, and the chicken sandwich was hand-breaded with high-quality ingredients. Hands-down my all-time favorite brunch spot. It's only open for brunch on Sundays, which combined with always being seated immediately makes it feel like a hidden gem. The back patio is quiet, shaded, and sheltered from wind. The food shines. Of course the egg scramble and the Benedict's were fantastic, but every piece of every plate feels deliberate and done with intention--nothing is an afterthought. - Their home fries are my all-time favorite--thick, well-seasoned, soft on the inside with some crisp on the outside. - - The English muffin toast has a crunchy golden surface and soft inside. - The whipped cream on the French toast feels luxurious. - Oyster shooters are a fun treat, as a lover of both fried clams and bloody Mary's. - They were kind enough to accommodate us with a half order of their (outstanding) French toast for dessert I'd note there's no espresso drinks on the menu, although I did enjoy the black coffee. I like trying new spots, but if the question is Sunday brunch then Avenue is always my answer.
