Broke out the viewing window of the pilot light on my hot water heater and seriously dented my hot water heater. Also jacked up my access door. When I called him about the next day about it he said "you must have had somebody else out there or how else would you know?" Ultimately had another plumber (my father) diagnose that needed a new gas valve and, because Marty caught it on fire, a burner assembly. BTW Marty also told me it was impossible to get a new gas valve for my hot water heater. Ordered on Amazon and delivered in two days. The parts were $300. He wanted to replace and quoted me $1,200. Communication impossible. If you call him he may call you back or he may not. Depends if he needs work this week or if he likes you. Twice he has just shown up at my house without calling at all. Including the original service call. He also likes to share his negative opinions about "you people coming up here and expecting blah blah blah." Meaning those of us who contribute to the very seasonal economy in Lexington. I've spoken to two others who will never use him again because his work was shoddy and his opinions were too freely expressed. As he left me there with a broken hot water heater, he said he could maybe come back in August when he wasn't so busy and suggested I lay a black hose in the sun for hot water and walked away laughing. So, unless you grew up with him, and that's a smaller pool all the time, I recommend a before and after picture with him IN IT. BTW when I saw his truck in Town I saluted him with the traditional finger reserved for people who have screwed you over. Not mature but darn it he makes me so mad. He turned his truck around, chased me down a street to a friends driveway where he started shouting that I was "that crazy lady" (apparently you're crazy if you don't like paying people $200 cash to break your stuff and then call him out on it) and, after that very professional exchange of views (not) he shouted to me, "get a bigger bike LARD ASS." What a class act.

They sent a young man named Hayden, and I simply cannot say enough good things about him. He arrived right on time in the afternoon, exactly as promised. What amazed me most is that Hayden is only 18 years old, yet he carries himself with the knowledge, confidence, and professionalism of a tradesman who has been in the business for 15 to 25 years. He went directly to the problem, immediately spotted what was wrong, and didn't just fix it--he took the time to show me exactly what was going on and explained the solution clearly. He looked me in the eye, told me what needed to be done, and made sure I was completely comfortable with the fix before moving forward. Hayden was incredibly thorough, double-checking everything to make sure my circuit box was safe and good to go. He was even overly diligent about the cleanup. When I told him not to worry about sweeping up a little dust on the floor, he insisted, saying, "No sir, we're going to leave this place as nice as the way we found it." I feel completely confident in his expertise and the safety of my electrical system now. It is rare to find this level of competence, respect, and upfront honesty in any service industry today. I will definitely be letting the owner, Scott Old, know what an outstanding representative he has in Hayden.
