Jingle Jeff's music camp is the best! My daughter loves Jingle Jeff and looks forward to his camp each day. He is so funny and keeps the kids engaged - he really gets down to their level! He always plans fun games and crafts during the camps. For the first camp, he introduced new water games that my daughter loved and was so excited about ("Dive into Music"). Plus, it's so nice to see my daughter loving the music and the songs that Jingle Jeff teaches. She's also taught her younger sister how to play "Hot Cross Buns" on the piano. The next camp, we'll have both kids enrolled. It will be great to hear about their interactions (hoping the older one looks out for the younger), as Jingle Jeff encourages leadership in the older children. Many of the counselors and counselors-in-training are past students of his :). We will continue to enroll the kids in the summer camps as long as Jingle Jeff has them! read more

We highly recommend Jingle Jeff's musical camp!! Our 6 year old son just completed the 2 wk Jingle Jeff's musical camp, and it was a HUGE hit!! Not only is our son, hopping and skipping to songs he learned, but the ripple to music addiction hit the whole family!! Our 4 year old daughter is counting down the months until she is old enough to attend. I ended up purchasing a keyboard in attempt to brush up my childhood piano lessons, just so I could join in!! I feel like we are replaying the scene of Sound of Music, as Jingle Jeff has brought the aliveness to music to our home!! We were really impressed with his camp! Our son felt welcomed and accepted. Jeff has flexible afternoon pick up hours, which worked well for those unpredictable work days. He has a big music studio which is very kid friendly, which is attached to an outdoor space. It is a perfect space for a camp. Jingle Jeff taps into the child's natural passion so that they are learning without them even knowing. Bravo! This must be one of the BEST camps available in the summer! We sent our younger boy to Jingle Jamboree for the past 2 weeks. OMG. My boy had wonderful time & lessons on various instruments. Gush sky is the limit for those little ones. My 4.5 yr boy was fascinated by all the new instruments he tried & enjoyed. He now tells me he wants piano, violin & dancing. All the kids in the camp got along very well. Every child had super time. Jingle Jeff is one brilliant music teacher. In fact he's our boys' favorite teacher. Great with children & full of music talents. Never a dull moment with Jeff's music camp. We are so pleased with the results & my boy's interests in music. My boy was happy singing different tunes every day at bath tub, dinner, bed story time..... He also demonstrated how he played new instruments and the sound. THE BEST 2 WEEK CAMP EVER! I highly highly recommend Jingle Jamboree Music camp. Furthermore, I wish our charter school can work out the after school schedule to have Jeff as our music teacher. Best music introduction to you give your kids. I have been referring friends to Jingle's Jeff's music classes for years and just realized that I never reviewed him on Yelp. We first found Jingle Jeff at our son's preschool, where he is the music director. Our son has been taking music classes at Jingle Jeff's private studio for about 3 years, since age 3, and our daughter in the last year. Jingle Jeff is an amazing and creative music teacher---having attended numerous music classes over 3 years, I am surprised at how varied the classes are. Our kids love Jingle Jeff. I always bring my lap top to work and find myself engrossed in the class instead. Aside from all the research out there on music and brain development, I believe that fact that our son was introduced to Kodaly at an early age help him in other areas, as language acquisition. He was able to pick up Mandarin, a tonal language fairly quickly, because he could hear the tones in the language. I am surprised that there are only a couple of Yelp reviews----maybe it's the best kept secret. I don't give that many Yelp reviews but Jingle Jeff definitely warrants one. We still drive from Orinda, where we live now, to Albany so our kids can attend Jingle Jeff's classes. read more

We love Jingle Jamboree. My son and I attended two sessions of the infant music class and it was an all-around great experience. It's a great place to meet other moms with other young babes and perfect for breaking the ice...just put it out there mommas! "Hey, feel like getting coffee or something after class? " Sure! We learn lots of unique songs that you won't hear at your typical music time events and the babies get to experiment with sound, and instruments. Jingle Jeff is a joy and his enthusiasm is contagious. I only wish classes were a little bit longer. read more

My daughters in Gr 1 and 4 had a wonderful time at Jeff's musical summer camp last year when they did the Sound of Music. The girls learned so much and made wonderful friends, several with whom they continue to keep in touch. A lot of this probably has to do with the fact that Jeff was able to draw from his wealth of experience working with children to cultivate a fun and communal learning environment. I was especially impressed by the briefing session Jeff organized for the children enrolled at summer camp weeks BEFORE the camp to set expectations, distribute scripts and music and help the children break the ice over a pizza lunch, so that they could hit the ground running on Day 1 of camp. We have since returned to Japan, where we're from, but my girls have vowed to return to Jingle Jamboree next summer (if we can afford it time- and money-wise!). read more

Jingle Jamboree offers music classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, and elementary children. My son is in the infant session. We've been taking the class for a few months now and have been very pleased. The founder/instructor is wonderful. He's very patient and energetic and allows the children to move at their own pace. The class sizes are limited which helps to keep things moving, and allows the kids to make the most of the experience. My son has learned to pat a steady beat and imitate some sounds - but most of all he just has fun! read more

It is our pleasure to highly recommend on Jingle Jeff Musical Camps (and after school club). Our daughter participated in four of Jingle Jeff musical camps (three last years and the advanced one this year) and in his musical club in Ocean View this last year. Our daughter loves participated in all of these musical and choir programs. She progressed so much in her music, singing, and acting. Performing is always part of his programs. It is amazing how much he can achieve with the kids without putting any pressure on them. The summer camps are done in his studio that is located in his house. It includes a nice yard with chickens that they use extensively (the yard NOT the chickens). Besides teaching them music, the kids are engaged in other musical production activities, like preparing their own customs, props and set. The counselors are always graduators of his program, which plays really nice for the kids. Finally, Jingle-jeff make sure to surprise the kids with treats, like trips to a local creamery or pizza for lunch. read more

I have been bringing my grandchildren to Jingle Jamboree infant and toddler classes for the past 4 years. These classes are absolutely amazing! In my opinion Jingle Jeff is a genius. He combines singing, movement, drumming, and other instruments as well. My grandchildren (one of whom is intensely shy) blossomed in the classes. The Jingle Jamboree Music camp is the highlight of my son's summer. Jeff is the most warm, caring, knowledgeable teacher I could hope for and he creates an environment that is warm, respectful and stimulating for the kids. As a grandmother of a 2 1/2 year old and a retired educator, I am exceedingly appreciative of the first school experience Jingle Jeff is creating for my granddaughter. A capable teacher at many grade levels, Jeff is spot-on with creative first formal musical experiences designed especially for toddlers. He is joyful in his delivery and paces activities in a way that matches the interest level of little tots. His timing is just right as he switches from one musical game to another and he is keenly observant of each child. Each one garners Jeff's praise or even the tiniest redirection he or she might need to be able to take full advantage and so others might do the same. Jeff's sparkling enthusiasm is contagious for his audience of toddlers as well as participating parents, grandparents or caregivers and his array of music bits shows his expertise in how a child's understanding of music and appreciation can build. He is fluid in explaining the music skills he is hoping to get across as well as quiet and straight-forward in giving gentle instruction to the adults present. The studio Jeff has designed is interesting and well-appointed with age-appropriate musical instruments and props to draw children into a joyful space.
