Lisa was my technician the first few times I got the laser hair removal. Went perfectly each time (obviously slightly painful, but understandably). I really liked her and was seeing progress. On what became my last visit there, I had a new technician (I think her last name is Greene?). It was EXTREMELY painful and I kept her updated throughout. She seemed shocked that it hurt and was lowering the levels little by little but it was NOT helping. I was not on any special medications or anything out of the ordinary. She was also not shocked to see my skin reaction... told me to put some aloe, don't take hot shower, refrain from intense exercise, nothing out of the usual. Now, I have done laser hair removal treatments (legs, armpits, upper lip) many different times at different places. I know how it works. I have NEVER experienced such pain and reaction. Please see photos for post treatment and the scars it has left. I have contacted them a few weeks after with pictures of the scars and talked on the phone to the technician who treated me, but she only said that sometimes we have different reactions and maybe my body was just more sensitive that day. I've had great previous experiences there, so the review is based on that one treatment. I think it's understandable because I still have a scar a year and 5 months later. read more

Pros: A few very nice employees. One of the ladies sat with me while I waited for treatment. She was extremely kind and stayed with me and chatted the entire time I waited for treatment. The Dr is very kind and approachable as well. Clean lobby and rooms. Cons: The young woman working the front desk was not approachable at all and neither front desk workers seemed to have any knowledge of the Brilliant Distinctions program. Very hard to get ahold of anyone on the phone in order to make an appointment. Services are much pricier than competitors in the area. I was given 60 units (an absurd amount for someone my age) Within a week I noticed my forehead lines were very unevenly treated and returned for a touch up, which I had to pay for out of pocket (Godiva & Co provides free touch ups if their service is unsatisfactory) After about 4-5 weeks I noticed my Botox wearing off, which makes me question the dilution. 45 units typically lasts me up to 5 months. I received forehead botox injections and the Nurse who provided the service was very competent, however, the forehead lines (wrinkles) are still evident. The proof is in my "forehead" therefore, the botox was "watered down" or mixed with other ingredients. Additionally, I have suffered chronic headaches from this artificial, counterfeit botox therapy. Hi I'm writing this review in regards to my wife who visited this location on February 9. Not only did she receive burns on her hands, but she also received horrible customer service. I am shocked that a professional would not even take the time to listen to a customer to see if what they were saying is actually true. The attached photo shows the hand four days later.What's even worse is having a professional but doesn't take the time to try to console with their customers. The attitude and entitlement that this doctor had is very embarrassing. What would be wrong with taking the time to see if what the customer was saying is actually right? It's extremely embarrassing that she was totally the office and never come back. She was also told she would never get her money back. The evidence from the photo shows what happened, evidently what she said was correct. I think the doctor needs to reach out to us and figure out a solution. Dr Nanda Needs to be disciplined by the Ohio medical Board. This was absolutely uncalled for and as you can see several days later we still have to deal with this. We had to go to our own doctor to get burn cream for the hand. Even he could see that this was between first and second-degree burns. I became a member of the massage "club" back in November, 2020. Several months ago I was told that they no longer had a massage therapist and that they would get back with me when one became available - nothing yet (I am still owed 60 minutes of massage). I was also told that when they did obtain a new massage therapist - they would contact me asap to schedule an appointment (still nothing). AND they told me that when they did hire a new massage therapist my contract would continue for the remaining contract months - so, instead of November to October - November to ????? I've been going to Jiva Med Spa for about 2 years. I've had several treatments. I love the staff, they are very caring and give me all the information needed for procedures I've done there. Most of all, I'd like to commend Amy. She was very kind and knowing of my last procedure. She took good care of me and was pleasant to have perform the procedure. Total disappointment. I purchased a Groupon to see how I meshed with the staff/doctor before getting more services done at this specific place. Before I was even asked about medical history, allergies, etc I was told my service would be 300 for one tattoo removal and continuously asked to upgrade. I then let him know I purchased a Groupon and could tell the tone changed. I was downgraded to a entry-level laser at half the frequency and my tattoo was unchanged. It doesn't look any lighter at all. He didn't even go over the whole tattoo, just certain spots, which I feel he did knowing I'd need to come back. LIFE CHANGING!!!! Dr. Nanda, I just needed to tell you I feel SO amazing!!! THANK YOU! I think my hormones have been a mess for decades! Possibly since I began having children. I don't recall the last time I felt this good. My sleep is great, moods are balanced-I feel joyful-I feel like myself again! I've lost 12 pounds and have made no dietary changes. I was so "afraid" of Hormone Replacement Therapy prior to receiving but I was feeling horrible! My mental, emotional and physical health was completely deteriorating! I knew it! I felt like my life was literally ending-I'm only 49!!! No one should feel this way! I was angry and felt betrayed by my family, the medical society EVERYONE! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! What a HORRIFIC experience. First of all, I waited for 30 minutes to be seen. I had a brief consultation by a very charming man who was very complimentary. Dr Nanda, who also seemed super charming, came in and try to talk me into more treatments right away. He said I could have 4 more treatments for $599 when they are "normally $400 a treatment." He tried to sell me sunscreen too-- random tidbit. Anyway, we went back to the chair-- he handed me glasses and talked up his "top of the line" machine. He said it would be super quick. I told him I had 4 or 5 hairs under my chin that I get too. He said "No problem I will get those for you." As I laid back, he started blasting the laser. I have had LHR before and it was NEVER like this. I was telling him it burned and it was hot and he said it was normal. As he is talking he briefly mentions that doing my neck area (?!?!) will be a 100$ upcharge but he will get it taken care of...?! My 4 hairs are not considered my chin per him. So he starts getting my chin and then hits the spot where an Adams apple would be. I LITERALLY kicked in pain. He said "It is normal for it to welt up for a couple days." I told him my neck really hurt and he said "Oh you must have had makeup on it". I have a FULL BURN on my neck... I have a picture. Literally have no hair there, the laser should not have even been there and he tried to blame it on makeup. I was getting up and he tried to sell me a 4500$ package to get my whole body done-- every inch of hair. He brought me out front where someone else tried to get me to pay in full for the $600 more in treatments and the $4500 package as well as the $100 neck treatment (bullsh*t). I told him I was going to hold off on paying any more and he got shitty with me saying "well the price of laser is going up and you're going to need this." The whole experience was shady-- they acted like uses cars sales men. .SO SO pushy. Please, I am in the medical field. I am honest, I care about everyone-- please please please don't go here.. I want to start with the good. Nancy, she's amazing and I love her, such a great person. Now to the reason for the 1 star. I paid $3200 for Trusculpt ID followed by Venus treatments monthly for the past year. 13 months now. Which was a referred treatment by Dr Nanda. I'm small framed. I weigh 128lbs. I'm 5'5. I just have that extra mommy pouch with some loose skin on my tummy that I don't like. I'm healthy, as well as I work out. I feel like I'd be your ideal candidate.. well I haven't seen really any results. Today they had the emsculpt neo bus where people can get a 10 minute free trial. I decided to come and check it out. I've got nothing to lose at this point. Decided to see the pricing and they want a special deal price of $3,000 for 4 treatments. Which would have put me at $6200 for my stomach. At this point I could have a tummy tuck done with actual results. I was like that's crazy. Then he said let me see your stomach and he said oh no you need coolsculpt... then why wouldn't you refer that from the get go? And his special price for that was $2500... I'm like so what if that don't work?! He's like oh we will do a Venus for free then... I already do the Venus. I'm so annoyed and this doctor truly don't care. Terrible way to manage a business. If a young mom came in and paid $3200 for a treatment and didn't see any results, i wouldn't sell more stuff, id try to figure it out. It's all a money hungry game. Like I said. I love Nancy, she is so sweet, I love getting the Venus done by her but let's face it. I should feel confident in a bikini again and I don't. I'm not going to lie... not impressed. I've had a lot of massages and this massage was very impersonal, very sterile, and felt rushed. My guy had almost no bedside manor and essentially barked at me to "relax," or "turn over." I paid for a couples massage, for 60 minutes (granted I bought it through Groupon) and they cut the massage between 45-50 minutes. If I pay for 60, I think I should get 60. I don't know. Not great... wouldn't recommend it for anyone other than maybe a person's very first massage or someone who wants super light pressure. read more

My friend and I had pleasant experience at Jiva Med Spa. they can get you in and out fairly quickly. The laser session did work however not as fast as we expected. I did Brazilian and they said that it would take from 8-12 sessions to completely get rid of the unwanted hair. i completed 5 session however only about 40% at most of my hair is gone. Dont deposit the money upfront if they ask you to do so. you will be asked to deposit $50 to $100 down to keep the same discounted price for the next package. those are NOT REFUNDABLE. you can find the same discounted price on groupon even months later . read more

Very bad experience. Had a blood test for testosterone implant. I was asked if I wanted to pay $250 or bill the insurance. I replied to bill the insurance company. My insurance company was bill in excess of $15,000 for a blood test. I am now being pursued by the lab for payment for the blood test. I never agreed to pay the lab so I will fight it. The doctor was very concerned about selling me all kinds of services that I did not request (cool sculpting, face lift, etc). He insisted I purchase $110 for vitamins. Never went back. Found another doctor who did the implant for 1\3 the cost and told me the vitamins I was required to buy did not make sense with the implant. To me his primary concern must be how much money he can get. I will never go back and I advise you not to go there. He is a ripoff! I only gave him one star because I have to..I would give him zero if possible. read more

Got a couples massage today. My husband was very very pleased with the service he got. He had a man, lots of different techniques, and felt so relaxed when finished. I had a woman, and the only technique she did was kneading the whole time. She told me to relax, but I couldn't because it felt so uncomfortable. I was just waiting for it to be over from the beginning. Since leaving I've felt so tight and sore even after stretching. My husband still feels amazing. I think the man he had was a regular or boss, he told him about all the muscles that were tight and showed him stretches and went above and beyond. Just wish I would've got as great a masseuse as my husband. I'm going to have to schedule a massage elsewhere to get all these tight muscles worked out after that!! read more

I visited Jiva Med Spa for a tattoo removal session and although there was an extremely pleasant staff and lovely, inviting environment, I was disappointed in the experience. I began my tattoo removal journey prior to relocating to the area but when asked (during the consultation with the provider) which method was used at Zapatat, I could not recall. I offered to quickly look it up but he declined and I should have done so anyway because I was talked into "upgrading" to Picosure, which really isn't an upgrade afterall. Zapatat actually used ART R20 vs Picosure, citing "We don't use Picosure because of the high incidence of side effects and limited applications." Outside of feeling like I was beaten out of an additional $50 to "upgrade" to Picosure (as it is, my previous sessions were only $60 each w my military discount) and the pressure to purchase vitamins for the vascular system, my only issue was that my treatment area was not numbed prior to being zapped. It's a relatively quick process but definitely not without remarkable discomfort. I ALWAYS had Emla (or another topical anesthesia) applied before treatment at Zapatat, so the treatment at Jiva really hurt. Finally, I had 3 or 4 treatments at Zapatat prior to visiting Jiva and the fading I currently have was from those earlier visits, as there was absolutely no change after the visit w Jiva. I guess it is safe to say the ART R20 must be the superior treatment option, not to mention, the most reasonably priced option. read more

The massage therapist told me I shouldn't be getting a massage since I had swelling in my ankle due to surgery. I told her my physical therapist massages my ankle and recommended massage for me. However, she told me I have to bring a doctor's note to get another massage. I explained to her that the doctor told me it might be a year until the swelling decreased and may never go completely away. She said it was policy. Since I belonged to the massage club I have decided to cancel my membership and have my physical therapist recommend a professional. read more

I spent about $1000 dollars for two treatments for laser nail fungus removal and it totally didn't work. It was a very painful procedure as well. The advertisement was misleading in this. The doctor seemed oblivious to he fact that it wasn't working and kept telling me how great my nails looked even though they weren't getting better. It all felt like a scam. read more

Purchased the BBL package for $2k to treat my dark spot. It included 3 BBL treatments, cleanser and even tone corrector. My dark spots are more darker than before having the bbl treatments. UPDATE: Dr. Nanda called me yesterday stating he and his staff tried to reach me several times after I left without service. FACT: If they did call they did not leave a voicemail. The only time I received a voicemail was from Dr. Nanda yesterday. He apologized and went on to say that it was his receptionists fault because she had only been there a week and would definitely address it with her. FACT: Whitney, the receptionist I spoke to when I made the appointment 2 weeks prior was at the desk when I arrived and I heard her TWICE let someone know that I was still waiting. He first offered to refund my deposit AND provide the service at no charge. I politely declined telling him I did not want anything for free, I only wanted my deposit back since I was not going to utilize his services. He went on to say he would refund my deposit --- not because the services won't be rendered BUT he would issue the refund when I removed my negative review from Yelp and BBB. This entire conversation speaks to his level of professional ethics and his willingness to throw his receptionist under the bus rather than take responsibility, apologize and refund money for services that will not be provided. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Be prepared for high pressure sales tactics similar to a used car sales man and to wait 30+ minutes for your appointment. No respect for anyone's time at all. There is a reason they offer a ton of Groupon 'deals'. Also, be aware of their 'no refunds' policy. I paid for a Groupon of 20 units of Dysport. I have only ever gotten Dysport at my dermatologist office but thought it was a good deal and I would try a new place. They made my appointment for 9:30am. I arrived at 9:15 and the entire office was dark & locked up. Another man was waiting in the hallway as well and said he had an appointment for 9. So not a great start. Finally around 10 they arrived & let us come into the office. I was taken into a consultation room & explained that I normally get 20 units in my forehead lines. The NP kind of scoffed and said she would do what she could but not to expect much with just 20 units (I had just called me derm on the way there to make sure that's the amount I usually get). She then pulled out an entire binder and tried selling me on other products. I told her I wasn't interested as I had already been waiting in the hallway for the office to even open & I just wanted the Dysport. Was taken to another room where the NP didn't even mark on my forehead where she would inject. She did 2 short injections and said that was it. I honestly don't even think it was 20 units. It's now been about 2 weeks and I HARDLY notice any difference at all so basically I wasted $100. I will not be back here & just stick to Beavercreek Dermatology at least I can trust that I'm actually getting what I'm paying for. Don't waste your time or money here. **Also, the Dr./owner's responses to negative reviews on here is really sad. Would NOT recommend. Very disappointed! There was no way to relax with all the noise. The traffic from I-675 was loud and then employees out in the hallway were very loud, with doors slamming and you could hear the phone ringing in the lobby. I really question as to whether the sheets on the table were clean or not, as they were all wrinkled. I'm glad that I had an undergarment on, as I don't feel they really tried to be respectful to trying to keep me covered. As soon as you sign in you see all these sheets about gratuity and basically what is expected. There wasn't anything about this place that I would recommend.....save your money! read more

I had a Groupon for laser tattoo removal here. Dr. Nanda spoke with me about the risks and benefits, as well as what I should expect as far as results go. I have worked with laser tattoo removal companies in the past, and was so happy to hear him go over all of the little details that a lot of consultations neglect. He offered to upsell me to the PicoSure laser at a very reasonable price, as well as offering a finance application that they would have processed that same day, but I declined. I was happy with the treatment - Dr. Nanda wasn't shy with upping the laser and making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. It's fully healed now, and results were as expected. They NEVER answer the phone. It has taken me MONTHS to schedule a massage. I haven't even had the massage yet and I am so disappointed. I scheduled a couple's massage and asked for 2 females. I just got the confirmation texts for my massage TOMORROW and it is with 2 MALES. This is unacceptable. They are AWFUL. I saw a deal on Groupon for laser hair removal so I went to get one part done. When I got there, they convinced me to do my whole body, which cost MUCH MUCH MORE. I asked about my dark spots as well, and they told me it was easy to remove, and they took money for both the hair removal and the dark spots. I trusted them because all of them, the nurses, workers, and doctor were nice, so I believed them. I paid for everything. Now my dark spots are the same. Nothing changed during the treatment or after. For the hair removal, they used a type of laser that didn't work for me, and I kept telling them that it doesn't seem to be working, so about half way through treatment, they changed the laser to another one, and again I didn't see any results whatsoever. By the time they switched me to the third laser my treatments were already over. I told them that the hair is still growing, and they added one more treatment. Now its been about three months, and my hair is growing normally, as if I didn't do anything. And my dark spots haven't changed either. They tricked me and used pretty words to get me to pay a lot of money, they care more for the money than for the thoughts and feelings of their customers. And they pretend to be good and care about your opinions, but they don't actually care. And I am now preparing to sue them. read more
