We contacted JJ Enterprises for an estimate on concrete repair work of our front steps. Greg came out, looked at the job and provided some great recommendations, which we were eager to move forward with. Greg then referred us to an independent sub contractor. A few days later we met with Lee, and reviewed Greg's recommendations with him. Lee gave us a reasonable price quote and we were ready to move forward. We never heard from Lee again. Since we didn't have Lee's contact information, we continued to message and call Greg. who was responsive and continued to say that he was forwarding our messages. That's where it was left- we were completely ghosted and wasted over a month waiting. We are highly disgusted with this poor business practice. If you decide you don't want to take on a project, because it's not a big enough ticket job $$$ be honest and up front about it. read more

Last October we had our old backyard patio torn out, expanded and redone. We inquired about having a picture frame border and Greg made sure to schedule that crew to pour and form the patio, as that crew really enjoys doing the "fancy" stuff. They also added a slight "groove" to the concrete, so you won't slip. This year we had our driveway and approach torn out and redone. When Greg came for the initial visit last year to quote the project, he knew exactly what the regulations are for where we live. We needed a permit for the approach, but not the driveway (as long as we didn't change the size or slope of the it). He took care of getting the permit for the approach, we didn't have to do a thing. The original driveway was put in sometime during the 1970s by my dad and his work buddies. They had to make hundreds of cuts to the wood forms to get the driveway to curve as it sloped down. JJ Enterprises was able to replicate this exactly. I know things have advanced greatly over the course of 50 years, but it's this kind of attention to detail that makes these guys #1! read more

We bought a house from JJ that he "flipped" Stay away! We ended up spending over 7K to fix his poor electrical work, cheap painting, and several other items he cheaped out on. He talks a good game until you pay up, then he became rude and told our broker to F-off when we asked about receipts for the appliances that had issues. He was very proud of the concrete work he did on the property and it sucked. The parts of the driveway he did are now crumbling and have to be re-done. The old concrete that has been there over 50 years is still better than what he did. This guy is bad news. Do not use him for concrete work and never buy a house from him that he is flipping. read more

I have worked with so many contractors over the years and many have failed to measure up to my standards. I became a Do-It-Yourself guy, though did not do certain specialities like concrete and stucco to mention a few. Today for the first time ever, I am boosting about Jimmy Johnson (a real farm boy), DBA as JJ Enterprises, whom specializes in concrete projects. I first saw his ad in the local Now Newpaper, then saw him down the street by accident working on replacing a driveway and garage foundation. I did not realize until later that he was one of the contractors I called for an estimate. I was looking for an extra parking space next to my driveway - I call a side-saddle, so we did not always have to move one car to get to another. I spent some time watching his crew work another neighbor's project. I especially enjoyed watching him and the crew work so well together, using a special sign-language of communicating. Jimmy's crew was a true art of managing the need to just get things done and not waste time. His work ethic reminded me of the men in my family and another worker from Mexico whom could anticipate my next need. Jimmy and his crew managed to fit me in, while finishing the neighbor's driveway on 64th street. Jimmy was a wild man with an exactness to everything he did, whether driving one machine or another. This company took off with $900 of my money. We hired them to complete a concrete patio. Paid $900 for the down payment and the rest was to be paid upon completion in the 4-6 week time frame they gave us. After 4-6 weeks passed and no work was done, we reached out. Nothing from them. No responses. This went on for several weeks. Week 10 I had to file a credit card chargeback. They actually had the audacity to dispute my chargeback claiming we gave them permission to run my card. Well of course we gave them permission, but the work was never done. I lost the chargeback because I gave them permission. Now we will be taking them to small claims. That's nasty business to take a Customers money knowing you never did any work. That's just flat out wrong read more
