Going home from Danville, VA, my car had a flat tire on HWY 86 just north of Yanceyville, NC. I…read morewas right near a gas station, so I immediately pulled in to change the tire and put on the spare. Unfortunately, even though the parking break was on and the car was in park, it somehow moved enough to collapse the Jack after I had the tire removed. This basically landed the car on top of the jack, which was now laying sideways stuck underneath it. My roadside assistance with Geico was useless because for the 3rd time of the 3 times I tried to use it, they were unable to find any tow truck service available. I pulled up Google Maps to find a tow service, but I learned very quickly that just like locksmiths, all of the tow companies are fake. They all go to the same 1 or 2 phone numbers in California but are actually answered by people overseas in their house. Open up Google maps and look for local locksmiths or local tow services, and you'll see exactly what I mean. You can put a location in the middle of the desert, and you'll still get 30 results, all of them basically the same sham company. Then I smacked myself in the head for not learning my lesson when I needed a locksmith, which is that the best way to find a true local company was to use Yelp!! So to the Yelp app I went and immediately found Wilson's Automotive and Towing. They had a tow truck at my location out in the sticks in less than 15 minutes. 5 minutes later and my car had been lifted up in the spare put on. The total price was $100 cash, but I'll get that reimbursed from Geico, and it's not an unreasonable price for immediate service at 10 o'clock at night on a Friday. Thank you, Wilson Towing. I love you! REMEMBER: Google and Bing will give you fake results but YELP is the real deal!!
