It proved difficult to find a photographer within my price range that had quality photos that I liked. Fidelio was perfect for us. This review is from the family photo perspective. Pros: - 2 photographers. Jessica does a lot of the official "smile now, kids, damnit" photos while her husband Lyle gets a lot of the candid moments that often go missed. What you get with this combination is an awesome set of photos you'll have on your mantel, and the photos you'll actually treasure that have some of the irreverent moments. - The photos. I'm not an extremely emotional person, but some of them brought tears to my eyes. We had three generations at our photo shoot, and some of the ones of my grandparents especially were just really touching. - Jessica and Lyle were great to work with. Professional but personable, and when we had ideas for shots they were totally willing to do them. They bring the artistry of professional photographers, but not the snobbery--if you have an idea they are definitely willing to run with it. Con - We had our photos done at a really busy time for Jessica and Lyle and had to wait a while (~ 2 1/2 weeks, which could be entirely normal, I'm not a big family photo connoisseur) for our photos. That said, they were awesome and entirely worth the wait.

We have loved them since we first met them. To us it was very important that we had two photographers and a digital copy of all of our pictures. They create a package and pricing to what is going to work for you so not everyone is the same nor is the price. They do an engagement session. I wasn't thinking of having one but since they offered it, we took it. It was perfect we had so much fun and were really relaxed. They got to know us before the wedding which is going to reflect in our pictures on our wedding day. We had some odd requests of things that we wanted to try and they were up for anything. We just got to see our sneak peak of our pictures (our wedding was only 3 days ago) and I am so thrilled and cannot wait to see the rest. Ben was our photographer for our October 2014 wedding in Falmouth, Maine. I had seen a…read morerecommendation by an acquaintance on Facebook and made an immediate inquiry. He returned my emails quickly and answered all of my (excessive) questions politely. I showed his work to my mother and immediately we made a decision to book him. His communication throughout the process was fantastic and he helped guide us to the appropriate package for our day given my list of wants and needs. Unfortunately, we were never able to meet up before hand to discuss the big day (my husband and I live outside of Boston and the summer was a busy one for us and we just couldn't make it work.) However, we were able to facetime and immediately felt at ease with Ben and realized that given his sense of humor, and ours, we were in good hands. The day of went off without a hitch and Ben was a big part of the success; he was present but not intrusive (so many of our guests commented about this) and we had an immediate rapport (again, so many of our guests asked us if we were friends with him before the wedding.) Ben was laid back, flexible and kept us at ease by making jokes while at the same time being very professional. The best part -- our final images, they are absolutely stunning and I love them! We highly recommend if you are looking for a laid back photographer who just "gets" weddings, and will document your day in an intimate style that will have you reliving the day every time you look through your photos.
