She explained what they had to offer, prices and during that my daughter said she was thirsty so Jenny then walked us over to an area that had a few tables and many cold drinks to choose from. There are many arcade games there that I have not ever seen before, that was very cool and very fun. The mini golf course was beyond awesome. I did not expect what I saw at all. Our next trip there we are going to try the virtual reality and we cannot wait! All in all this place was amazing with the employees and all they and the place had to offer. ***Two thumbs up/A+++/five stars***

We only did the mini golf activities but they also had a very small arcade. We waited around 15 minutes in total to start. I really like the online point system that they offer, super easy to keep up with! The space is pretty spacious and I love the neon theme. Wasnt crowded when I went as well but not sure what that may look like on the weekends! Would recommend for a quick fun activity.

With so many State employees, "good enough for government work" fits a little too well. We've gained better boba spots since the pandemic, though still not at the Bay Area level. And from all the Bay Area people that I've met, they like Sac's housing prices, but miss their favorite restaurants. The Bay Area also has better board‑game cafes, but after my visit to Galaxy Game Cafe, I can say this one feels right at home, and that's good enough in the best possible way. (If you don't know, there's been a trend of Bay Area people moving to Sac). My friend suggested we check it out; he'd been before and enjoyed it. My first impression, was the "X" in "Galaxy" cleverly mimicking an X‑wing. Inside, a gallery of Star Wars 3.75" figures greeted us, with display cases thoughtfully placed throughout the store. It's a fun theme, and the shop fully embraces its geeky niche. A quick glance around the room revealed a game-focused layout. I was surprised because when I hear "cafe," I usually picture coffee, pastries, and light lunch options. If you just want a snack, Galaxy Game Cafe has you covered although there's no blue milk offered. My desire for more food variety was quickly forgotten once I looked at their game selection. I've been to game cafes where pieces are missing, boxes are dirty, or things are disorganized; the kind of place where you end up focusing more on your food than the game. Here, it was the opposite. I enjoyed my snacks and the games. In my small sample size (Dice Forge and Kronologic), everything felt like new. Out of curiosity, I checked Heat for expansions, but they seem to stick to base games, and again, everything looked liked like new. After we finished playing, I placed our games on the return shelf and realized they care enough to check. I appreciated the care they put into maintaining a good gaming experience- isn't that good enough? If you are in the area, I highly recommend them! What does one do to avoid the heat on the weekend? Bowling!…read more I can't even remember the last time I went bowling. It has been years! I'm happy to find and visit Bowlero North Sacramento for the first time. We visited on Saturday morning because they were running a special, $12.99 unlimited bowling from 11 AM to 3 PM. It was 4 of us and we each played 3 games. Such a great deal! There is a small arcade area by the entrance. A bar and one pool table in the back. You can order food and drinks from the small food station. We had breakfast before bowling and didn't have the chance to try their food. Honestly, I don't have high expectations for food at bowling alleys. We were in lane 32. There are only 3 seats in the sitting area but you can also sit by the bar stools behind the lane. The lane next to us was empty so we were able to spread out. It would be tight if they place someone else next to us. I like the screens that run across with back wall with different channels (news, sports, etc.) I was entertained while waiting for my turn. We didn't have any technical problem during this visit. Our ball didn't get stuck and everything ran very smoothly. We had a great time! The bathroom is a little run down but well maintained. I don't like the dim red tint lighting but I get why they have to keep the lighting this way. The parking lot is pretty big and didn't have any problem with parking. They are right next to In-Shape Fitness. With this great deal, I will definitely be back soon.

It was pretty clear they were understaffed, and we were patient and understanding about that. In fact, later on we even saw the same employee who appeared to be a manager handling food orders and fries, so it was obvious staff members were being stretched thin. The real problem came near the end of our first game when my boyfriend's stepfather's bowling ball (we brought our own shoes and balls) got stuck in the ball return and stopped coming back. We pressed the assistance button at the lane, but nobody responded. After waiting, we had to walk up and ask for help ourselves. The employee who appeared to be a manager came over and immediately had an attitude. Instead of helping, he told us that "most bowlers use two balls" and that it was normal for a ball not to return. He said we should just throw another ball down the lane. He then went a step further and told us that if it happened again, he would not come get the ball. That response was honestly shocking. If they were short-staffed and unable to get to us right away, all he had to do was be honest. We would have completely understood. Instead, he acted as though a malfunctioning ball return was our fault and spoke to us in a rude, dismissive manner. A little honesty and basic kindness would have gone a long way. The ball return had been working perfectly fine throughout the game, so being told that a stuck ball was "normal" didn't make much sense. My boyfriend's stepfather has been bowling for most of his life and has never been told that customers should expect their ball to get stuck and simply throw another one instead. Equipment issues happen. Being understaffed happens. What isn't acceptable is a manager treating customers like they're a nuisance for asking for help. The issue wasn't the stuck ball, it was the attitude. Being told that management wouldn't help retrieve a ball if it happened again, combined with the rude and dismissive behavior, completely changed our experience. We came in expecting a fun night of bowling. Instead, we left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Customer service costs nothing, and unfortunately, that's what was missing here.

When I called, I was told it's best to make a reservation & pay ahead of time due to how many boys I had, but I decided against it and took the risk because I'm not generally on time, & luckily, it worked out! He even gave the boys a little extra time while us adults finished up with our session- which we decided to get on after seeing all of them! He is an extraordinary worker and deserves the best. After are great start, we were having a blast on the splish and splash of the water slides. When these unsupervised kids ruined our fun. When me and my friend went on double dare trying to get them away from us they followed us up and were repeatedly yelling at us. They then told the life guard that we cut them and pushed them down the stairs. The life guard, Declan T, did nothing about them yelling and even let them cut in front of us even Though we so clearly made it up first. But we ended up in just a big shaded area. The employees were all mostly kind. Which can be tough with so many young adulting working a water park on a hot day. Only came across two employees that seem to be having a rough day. The food was not as bad as some reviewers I read said it was. The pizza was passable. The crust was good. The French fries were average. Not bad at all. The chicken tenders were more breaded flakes and less chicken. The pretzel was my girlfriend's favorite, but the kids really liked the ice cream shakes. The water park was fun. A lot of rides in such a small area, but it was well maintained and organized. The lines were not bad at all and it's all so much fun. The go-karts were a bit disappointing. I felt like more cars could have been out at once. Overall. It was not a bad time at all and I would come back for a bday party or to bring kids out for a fun day out.

Once I step through those doors, the air hits different. Grease. Ozone. Plastic tokens warm from human hands. Sensual in a way OSHA never anticipated. The pizza is awful. Truly shameful. And yet I devour it like it owes me money. Dough limp. Cheese suspiciously elastic. I chew slowly, staring into the void, letting the fluorescent lighting do unspeakable things to my sense of time and self-worth. Then the Rat Show starts. Chuck E. rises on stage, animatronic joints whining softly, eyes dead but somehow flirtatious. The music thumps. The lights pulse. I feel seen. Desired. Judged. It's foreplay for the soul. After that, I roam the arcade like a feral apex predator. I don't yell. I don't celebrate. I simply outperform. Skee-ball responds to my touch. Basketball hoops submit. Racing cabinets purr when I take the lead. The machines know. They always know. The staff pretends not to notice. Parents avert their eyes.
