We just hosted our 5 year olds birthday at JK Lee in Foxpoint and had the best experience. I'd highly recommend as a unique, no frills birthday. the staff and teachers were outstanding, everyone so kind and helpful in setup and tear down. there were some kids that were shy and didn't want to participate and they did such a great job of keeping them included while respecting boundaries (giving them a red dot so they could stay in the circle, but not get tagged per their wishes). Love the structure, the positive mantras, and the encouragement of respect of self and others. 15/10. read more

J K Lee Fox Point is an amazing place. The instructors are always positive and helpful. The instruction isn't just martial arts. They teach children (and adults) about respecting one another and being the best version of yourself in all aspects of life. The self defense instruction is also great including de-escalation in addition to physical techniques. I have been training at various J.K. Lee locations for 16+ years, starting when I was in middle school. My first job was at J.K. Lee's (in Waukesha) and I have always trained at one of their locations. J.K. Lee's Fox Point location has an amazingly dedicated staff. Mr. Gendleman is dedicated to cultivating his students minds just as much as their physical fitness. Mr. Hein, who has trained with J.K. Lee's since he was a child, is kind and supportive of everyone who walks through the door. Ms. Palmisano took classes alongside her children at J.K. Lee's Fox Point. She now teaches, works the front desk, and is the head of their City Youth Program. The school's program focuses on character development in addition to physical fitness and self defense. Students learn focus, self-discipline, responsibility, and many other life skills that will help them (and helped me) throughout their life. Their anti-bullying program is the best and teaches children to deescalate and diffuse bullying before anything else. They also teach students when it is and is not appropriate to use martial arts. Not only are the instructors great, but the community is full of wonderful people. I've never met another community that is so supportive and excited for each other. There is no doubt in my mind that J.K. Lee is the best martial arts school in the greater Milwaukee area. read more

I initially started my two sons with JK Lee's five years ago because I heard it was a good way to help them learn to focus. This program has definitely helped my boys with focus, so much so that their teachers even noticed a difference in them! I had no idea the magnitude of influence JK Lee's was to have on my children's lives, though, at that time. JK Lee's teaches so much more than just the punching and kicking of tae kwon do. Most importantly, it teaches the self-discipline needed to reach goals as my boys have had to do through every belt they have earned. This self-discipline has transfered over into other aspects of their lives, as well, including their school work. JK Lee's has also taught my boys to be more confident. The instructors foster this confidence constantly in classes and through the leadership programs they offer. My son's have even learned from JK Lee's how use their words to verbally defend themselves and their school classmates against bullying situations. Our experience with Mr. Gendelman at JK Lee Fox Point over the past couple of years has been amazing.
