So, this review is for the services we received weeks ago. At first, we called them to fix our AC that was blowing hot air out of the blue. A technician came, fixed the problem, left, and 4 hours later we had the same problem. He came again the next day, fixed it without additional cost. Great. Then the same thing happened that night, so we called for another appointment, this time we had to wait like 3 days since they were booked solid. Came, the problem was that our AC was about 18 years old, had developed a tiny hole that was not repairable. The best option was to replace the whole thing....and we really didn't have a choice at this point. I think we waited few more days for them to acquire the new system and had time in their schedule for them to come out (since it was going to be a lengthy appointment), and the day of replacement came, I think there were 6-8 people here at our house, some were working outside on the unit while few men were simultaneously working on replacing what was on the inside of the house. They were all nice and courteous, answered every question we had, accomplished the task, and left without leaving any dirt or trails of old AC on our carpet. The new system that they installed was a much newer model than our 18-year-old AC, so while we had to dish out some $$$ to get this done, it's blowing colder air, quieter, and much more energy-efficient, so I'm glad this was taken care of somewhat smoothly. Just to note, our old AC was incredibly loud. You can be standing on the street and hear our AC go on. This new one is so quiet, I can't tell when it starts to work. It's totally a first world problem :) We totally understood that we weren't their only clients, and it was basically in the middle of the fire season, so they were busy. If you go with that mindset, then while it took more days than I would've liked, they still worked as fast as they could and in the long haul, saving us some money with the electric bill. These guys are great. They came out on a Saturday for an emergency service. They located the issue and we're able to bypass the problem while waiting for the new part to arrive. The owner Cliff and his employees charged me a very small fee and were able to keep the air conditioner running despite the 110 degree weather. This company rearranged their schedule to accommodate my needs. Very polite and easy going. Very nice to have a mom and pops company to deal with that still maintains good traditional values. Cliff came today to fix my upstairs central AC. He was here Friday and diagnosed and then came back today with parts. He deserves a HUGE Thank You! He saved us tons of money vs these other scam artist HVAC Companies that simply said it can't be fixed and needs to be replaced. I was quoted $2500-$5000 from 4-5 other companies. This post is long time over due! So we have a 34 year old home with the original heating and ac unit in it. We haven't use this unit in over 15+year and due to the humidity increasing in the valley decided to try and turn on the old unit with no luck so we called JLC to the rescue. Steve came out too see if he could revive the old unit and said that it would have to be replaced. With his extensive knowledge, he helped us pick the right unit and offered us an estimate and a time frame for replacing the complete unit with ducting. With a great estimate in hand we signed and authorized the work to be done. In no time at all he had a crew out working on the house and had it all done extremely fast. Steve is so meticulous in his work and it shows which made my husband super happy. The crew did an amazing and clean job. The owner even came by to check on their progress. Cliff and his partner from JLC came out as our air conditioning was not cooling. They were both polite and professional and arrived early. They found the issue with the system as it was low on coolant and had a leak in the coil. The system was recharged and they gave an estimate on the coil replacement. I don't recommend this company. I called for a service technician to come to the house to help with a problem we have for our master bedroom. The temp in the upstairs master bedroom has radical temp swings. Natalie scheduled technician to come out Friday sometime from 10 am to 2 pm. They called Thursday afternoon to firm up appointment. At approximately 1:45 Friday I called them to see if they were still coming, Natalie informed me she was sorry and would send someone there within an hour. Guy shows up and proceeds to tell my wife that we could just adjust the vents, well duhh we did that already and it doesn't help. Then proceeds to tell us after looking at the sensor that there are other options available and would let us know what they are and takes down my email. No follow up email was ever sent. Update, I talked to Natalie this morning she apologized to me for the technician cavalier attitude being as it was before the holiday weekend. Bumped this up to 3 as the office people do seem to want the keep customers happy. read more

Could not clean the type of air ducts in my mobile home.

I want to say a big thank you to Al and his team, both were so professional, respectful and honest. I have AHS they send out a contractor from Sea Breez Air Conditioning and Heating, INC. Sea breez technician were rude unprofessional and money greedy, he did not introduce himself not did he properly diagnose my AC. But JLC, Al I was so happy he came did a fantastic on such short notice, they came right away. I must say I am very please with their work, I would recommend JLC to all my family and friends as my AC group. JLC installed a new air and heat unit in my house about 5 years ago. Last night, my heat started to malfunction. We had our (2) 1976 A/C combo units replaced with split-units. When I was getting quotes, I could tell Steve was extremely knowledgeable and didn't try to oversell me. JLC Air was very competitive, and I really liked that they were a local company. This was a big job from removing the old units off the roof, to replacing all the ducts, line sets and electrical. I'm a meticulous homeowner and can really appreciate the quality of the installation. The crew did a fantastic job during demo and install. The hallways were covered and everything was kept clean. Fast, friendly, thorough. Just like I like my men. The service tech diagnosed and fixed the problem (a broken capacitor) in less than 15 minutes. He also took the time to check my a/c filter to make sure it was okay and not a potential problem down the line. I am so impressed with Steve of JLC Air. He was the only one who came out to Acton after our recent snow storm and in horrible traffic, to give us what was supposed to be a new furnace quote. He asked what was wrong and went ahead and just fixed it in less than 1 hour at a fraction of the cost I thought it would be. This was after anonther company spent 4 days trying to diagnose and repair but could not, and then told me I needed a new furnace. We have heat again after no heater for a week. I called this morning for an upstairs heater that was putting out cold air, and still running even after I turned it off. I requested an appt after 5, and surprisingly they were able to accommodate my request. Around 1:00 they called to see if I could move the appt time up, I was close by so I was able to meet at my house 10 mins later. I anticipated an extended, arduous and expensive appointment... I could not have been more wrong! Steve determined the problem was caused by air filters than need to be replaced... Oops! He reset the machine, that was it!! I was SO relieved! He suggested replacing the filters every 30-90 days to prevent any future issues. He also informed me of their other services (should any problems arise in the future). Great company, great service, fair price, super professional are just a few words to describe JLC Air. They just installed a 5 ton A/C unit & furnace with all new duct work, & the new duct work enables us to run 2 zones in our 2 story house. We are very happy with the results. During the installation, their team was clean & courteous. They were at our house for about 8 hours and when they left, there was no trace of dust or dirt left behind. We now have a 10 year warranty on our unit with labor included. While we waited for our installation date, they repaired our 29 year old unit free of charge to help keep us comfortable in the 100+ degree heat of the summer. Let me start by saying that I have no knowledge of hearing and air condition units, so when mine went out I was terrified. First my heating unit went out a 4 years ago (JLC air replaced it then) and at the time I was told I would need to replace the air conditioning unit, but could wait. This is after others wanted to replace both and told me I needed to do this immediately. JLC said no, I could wait on the air conditioning and they were right. This year when my air conditioning went out, I called them again. I was told I would save money since they could convert some component of my unit. Thank you! I sent JLC a text message to obtain service on two of my residential evaporated coolers. I received a text message and also a phone call really fast. I was actually pretty impressed at how quickly they returned my message. She was very nice and professional. She informed me that they no longer work on swamp coolers; however, she was kind enough to recommend someone who does. I called that person and he responded to my home on an agreed day and time. He was on time and he worked on both coolers for about 5 hours. He charged me at a really fair price. And they now work better than ever before. I was so impressed. I had consulted with 2 other air conditioning repair companies in the area before JLC's consult. One said I needed to replace the entire system for either $5,800 new or when I asked if there was a cheaper alternative $2,365 reburbished. The other said it could be repaired for $539 or replace the system for $7,400. Then JLC came in and said it was just the thermostat and the technician even replaced it temporarily until he could permanently repair it for $185. I appreciate JLC's integrity and willingness to actually figure out what the problem was without trying to get me to spend more money on unnecessary repairs or replacements. So thankful I found them. We are so grateful for JLC. I just got out of the hospital, it's 112 out and our AC dies. First, they are answering the phone at 9:00pm! The person on the phone was courteous and helpful and provided the best news - they would be out in the morning! In the middle of a heat wave that was fantastic news. They showed up on time and Michael, the technician, did a great job diagnosing the problem and explaining the repair options. Within 45 minutes we had cold air blowing in to the house! I can't recommend JLC highly enough. Great customer service, solid technicians and quality work make this company a sure bet for any HVAC needs you might have. Two final notes - They have coupons on their website which they actually honored and I saw their integrity when we asked them to check for a potential problem with our ducting. Most companies would see this as an opportunity to gouge a customer, not JLC. They got up in the attic, checked out the whole duct system and found no problem. The issue was with the compressor and that's why some rooms were warmer than others Love these guys and they will have my business any time HVAC issues arise around the Johnson house!
