A call first thing in the morning to JLC Air and yes they have been swamped with calls but they were very pleasant and understanding. They set us up with an appointment, which was for later in the afternoon. The technician, Michael Claiborne was very professional and pleasant to deal with, in just a matter of minutes he had narrowed down the problem, fixed it and double checked the system to make sure everything was up to running standards. I appreciated that the technician was wearing a company shirt and name badge with proper identification. Can't say enough about JLC Air, so it you are having any AC problems (or heating in the winter), I highly recommend and ask you to give JLC Air a call. Just updated our HVAC system with a new Amana system (16SEER/95% furnace) with JLC and they were amazing. Steve, Clif and a crew of 6 did an outstanding job. Attention to detail was spot on. New ducting and vents, covered everything up to not dirty the house and vaccumed afterwards to pick up the residual. Though I have only had the system for a short time, it is a night/day difference in cooling. Steve took extra time to explain every detail and I mean every detail of how it works. I did a lot of research on systems and the Amana has the best warranty in the HVAC business but you also have to have great installers otherwise the system isn't worth crap. Susana was very helpful over the phone and explained that the charge for the diagnosis would be applied to the cost of the repair, and that they could come out the next day between 10 and 2. I called on a Sunday morning when I suddenly realized my heater/air wasn't coming on, since I had an electrician out earlier in the week to set up a ceiling fan, I was afraid the electricians had fried a circuit or done something catastrophic up in the attic. When I called JLC Air, I explained to them what happened and they immediately put my mind at ease with an understanding that the power switch was most likely flipped off. I had an emergency at my house and thanks to yelp, I found JLC. water starter coming out of my wall light switch and I figured that it must be condensation coming from the AC units in the attic. I called JLC and they responded quickly. Cliff when up in the attic and to my surprise found out that I actually have water pipes running across from one end to the other in the attic, and Cliff was able to find the leak and took a picture of it to show me. I had to call a plumber to fix the problem but thanks to Cliff, I was able to avoid severe damage to my walls. If you are looking for an honest company, I recommend these guys 100%. Since this incident I used them to do another job and let me tell you, I had the cousin of a coworker give me an estimate and when I asked Cliff for a quote for the same issue, it was cut in half. JLC Air - from estimate to installation day, just an outstanding experience. We bought a house which we knew had AC installed in the past, and ductwork. After looking over Yelp reviews we had placed JLC Air at the top of our contact list, but wanted to do due diligence, Well, Joe and his brother and their team will not only show you how honest and excellent their company is, but they'll also reveal how scammy some of the other companies out there are. We received a quote 2.5 times the quote we received from Joe, same equipment, complete rewiring and stuck out on our patio which was less than ideal. Another local company told us we needed rewiring and permits to even begin installation, and a brand new heater (Joe inspected our heater on the estimate appointment and told us it was just fine - he even cleaned out the filter for me). I'm no AC expert, but after talking with Joe and getting such a good vibe from him, I knew the others I had called out were taking advantage, and it was a no-brainer to go with JLC Air. Come to install day, and the team were hard-working and fun, and guided us through the whole process. It's a good idea to get other quotes, but this company stands out from the rest by a mile. We ordered their duct clean and sanitization too, and super pleased with the result. We have cool clean air and couldn't be happier with the service we received. It was time to finally replace our 28 year old AC/Htg unit, AC dead and htg on its last legs, and I spent a great deal of time researching systems and contractors to perform the installation. After seeing many great reviews for JLC Air and talking to people that had used them for work, we decided to give them a call, and we are very glad we did. I had many conversations with Joe Luthern via email and telephone getting a quote, and he answered all my questions, and provided a lot of great information about determining the proper system needed for our house and at the right capacity. Joe explained all the work and different parts of the installation they would perform, including redone base mounting of the unit on the roof of our house with rubber isolation seals, new electric and gas service disconnects, and new registers and thermostat inside. Steve and a crew arrived at our scheduled installation time, all seemed very skilled at their work and did a very professional job, and completed the installation basically within the 4 hour time frame that was estimated to me, including a crane to swap units on our roof. I still can't believe they can do such a job in that amount of time, but they do and they are thorough. Steve and a couple guys handled the inside work, and he gave us a lot more information regarding the operation of our new system, explained about warranty, demonstrated how good the air flow was and checked the cooling and heating functions, and showed me the new system itself and all the items of work that were performed. So in the end, we got tremendous service, a great new unit at a great final price with a great warranty, and peace of mind that our heater isn't going to go down in the middle of the night during winter weather. In fact it has been a couple of nights of a freeze snap, and the unit has been working like a champ. A tech came out in June to diagnose why the Central air isn't blowing out cold air, turns out we need a new unit. He gave us an estimate and said when we are ready to have it installed just give them a call. I called about two weeks ago to have the new unit installed, the young lady said she would have to speak to the tech then email me a proposal and when I accept ( the cost) the tech will come out and install the new unit. Well to this day still waiting to hear something...I've called twice to ask if maybe the email they have was incorrect the receptionist confirmed the email is correct. Both times I called I was told they were to busy and haven't been able to complete a proposal. I get it's a very busy time for them but, I think a simple courtesy call saying we didn't forget about you would have been nice. Maybe the estimate of $7700.00 that the tech wrote on the invoice isn't worth their time. read more

JLC did a great job with the installation of our new HVAC system, and we are happy with the performance of the system and the value we received in having it purchased and installed through JLC. The one complaint we had is that there was a minor issue which took months to resolve. Since it was just a 10 minute repair job it could have been handled much quicker than it was. OK, I reviewed JLC Air when they came and serviced my house last year, and they were awesome. So I thought when my elderly in-laws a/c went on the fritz, I'd call JLC, natch. But this time their service went beyond what I expected. A technician came and checked the system, and diagnosed the problem. It was drawing too much amperage trying to cool, and kept blowing the breaker. The unit was worn out and basically needed to be replaced. They set an appointment for the following week to install a whole new unit. As it turns out, summer hit kinda hard, and the desert temperature soared. Now they needed a/c worse than ever. My father in law had just gotten out of a lengthy stay in the hospital, and I didn't want to take the chance of him suffering in the heat. I called to see what JLC could do. The owner's wife runs the office, and she was class. She got the owner over to the house within half an hour! He double checked the system, added freon, worked on it some more, and basically tried everything to 'save the patient.' He must have worked on it for an hour or more. Not satisfied with the results (air blowing, but fan only) he offered to replace this unit with a used compressor for the interim week, just so my in-laws could have cool air in this heat. This would mean about 2 hours of labor, but as he said, "I just can't leave it like this, considering who's in the house." When he got to the shop, he called back with even better news-he had one brand new unit left over in the back of the warehouse, apparently new old stock. He said he could install this brand new unit, with full warranty, for significantly less money than his own company's estimate. He and his co-worker came back and worked until about 8 pm to get the job done! This showed a level of dedication and service you just rarely find these days. My in-laws house cooled right down (it was 87 inside that afternoon) and has been cool and quiet ever since. I will refer these guys to everyone I know for their a/c needs. I don't get anything for writing this review. I just want to write it as a thank you to an amazing, skillful, and compassionate company. read more

During the recent heat wave our regular AC Company JLC was booked for days. We had a new Company Pure Air systems come out. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did they not fix our AC but left us in the house knowing that it wouldn't work that day just so they could come out the next morning and tell us " Your AC coil is frozen from the inside -out, you need a new coil- $2200. This sounded so "funny" to me, I called JLC Air and asked one of the ladies in the office Jennifer if this sounded right to her. She said let me talk w/someone and get back to you. The owner called me back and agreed it didn't sound right. He said 90% sure it was just a dirty coil and needed cleaning. He sent a tech out the next morning. We did not need a new coil, it was dirty and needed to be cleaned. $225 later JLC had us back in 76 degree house!! I know I will never again use a company other than JLC air for my AC and Heat. They are honest, trustworthy and care about their customers, from the ladies in the office to the techs in the field and the owners themselves. Thank you JLC AIR. JLC provides OUTSTANDING customer service and quality workmanship. I had a carrier system installed by a known supplier. It failed miserably after 2 years. A huge waste of money. JLC installed my new HVAC system about 3 years ago and redid all my ducts. Much cheaper, much better. It saved a lot of energy and after 3 years of working perfectly the A/C had a minor problem on one of the hottest days of the year. I called them at 8PM on a Friday thinking I'm gonna fry all weekend waiting for help. They answered immediately and they came out the very next morning on Saturday - less than 13 hours later. They replaced a minor part, serviced the system and it has been working great ever since. They stand behind their products with quality customer service. I highly recommend their quality systems and services. Its rare to get good systems or service nowadays but JLC certainly are the exception. read more

These guys were amazing and did an awesome job, in no time at all. Labor Day weekend, Labor Day itself, Monday at around 7 at night my A/C went out and stopped working for the upstairs unit. Tried a couple of the things I know to do myself, but nothing worked. Outside the fan unit wasn't spinning and smelled like it was burning up, figured it was a new motor. It was about 85 degrees upstairs with no A/C on and no way I could have slept in that, would have been sleeping downstairs on the couch. Called up these guys and they were at my house in less than an hour, had the motor replaced for a very decent price in about 45 mins! Everything worked great, and it was cold upstairs in no time. From response time, to repair time, to price, and the fact it was on a holiday later at night, these guys were amazing!! If I ever have any problems like this again, these will be the guys I go to without a second thought. read more
