JLH took down a large oak tree in Feb of 2025. They left the area neat and clean. Very professional and courteous. I highly recommend them.

Before you hire a company to trim or remove a large tree, you should have a certified arborist inspect the tree to determine what work should be done. The next step is to look at reviews and recommendations and obtain at least two proposals for the work. Over the last four years, we have needed to have several large oak trees around our home trimmed or removed, and in each case we have been totally satisfied with the work by JLH. Most recently they removed a co-dominate oak tree that split apart during Hurricane Milton, and the entire job was completed in two hours. On 12.18.2018 JLH Tree Service of Citrus, Inc. arrived to remove numerous trees and underbrush left by the builder of our newly constructed home. Eli had provided us with a great proposal to remove numerous trees that would fall onto the house without much wind speed. The brush that was left was dangerous, due to the fact it was dead for several months. A lot of it was less than 15 feet from the side of the house. A definite fire hazard waiting to happen. Approximately ten (10) men with several pieces of equipment arrived late morning and began meticulously removing all trees and brush we requested removed. It was fascinating to see how well they all worked together, everyone had a job and did it well ! There was no horseplay, all business. At 1630 Hrs. the work was finished. We had 3 estimates we were breaking them up. We have had 2 of the 3 estimates done by JLH and we were waiting on the 3rd. We had it scheduled with Eli for 8/25. I had called Eli and asked when they would be out, he did not even have us down as appointment. He became very defensive and he did not want to admit he made a mistake. We waited a month for this appointment. We now have to start over. If you read the reviews as I should have in the beginning, you will see this is not the first time JLH has done this. Man..these guys showed on time. Limbs were flying (safely) and they had the equipment and skills to police the area as they worked so no big pile was on the lawn. After reading many good reports on this company I decided to give them a try. I spoke to Eli and we set an appointment. The appointment time came and went so I placed a call to the company and left a message. About 2 hours later I received a call from Eli explaining he had been on a job. I thought ok things do come up so we rescheduled for the next day. The time came and went with no call from the company so that makes 2 no shows. This company is the total package, prompt and professional estimates, easy scheduling and the work was top notch. Not only did they remove the trees and leave the property in perfect condition but they were fast, clean and professional. We were a bit hesitant because we've never had to remove trees and the two we had were very close to the house and over 50 feet tall. This company sent all my worries away.
