All associated teammates involved in the project, including the electrician, the plumber, and a few others, were very professional efficient, and they cleaned up after themselves. The job is fantastic down to the last detail. I've got five kids who were running at his feet the entire time he was working and he handled it gracefully and safely along the way. Trust me, you do NOT want to use Greater Dayton construction…read more Short story: terrible communicators, took significantly longer to complete the project than quoted, and did a HORRIBLE job!!! Long story: Our finished basement flooded causing a lot of damage and requiring new flooring, baseboards, doors, and paint job. Our insurance company gave us a list of potential contractors to use and we unfortunately chose Greater Dayton for this project. When they first came out, they took incorrect measurements of the basement, so when they returned for us to begin choosing carpet and paint colors, they realized their mistake and we had to submit the new measurements to our insurance as it changed the price significantly. This of course delayed the start of our project. We were told to expect a phone call to schedule when they would start and were informed repeatedly that once they started it would take just about a week to complete everything. We never received a call. Instead, one day the painters just showed up unannounced to our house when we weren't there. We had to rush home to let them in so they could get started. The painters did a horrible, very clearly rushed job. My husband had to go out and buy more paint and put another coat of paint on the walls himself because they wouldn't. Then after they put in the new carpet, they ghosted us for over a week while we were still waiting for them to put in the new baseboards, put the sink and toilet back in the bathroom, and put the new doors on. When we finally heard from them they said they'd be back to finish everything, but then showed up a day later than they said, put the new baseboards in, but forgot to bring the doors. They actually frequently would forget materials needed and have to delay the work. They also didn't put the toilet or sink back. They said they'd be back that same day to do it but then disappeared again! Also one of the joints of the baseboards is misaligned and looks awful. And when they finally put the doors back on, one of them doesn't latch! They started this project on September 2 and just today (October 15) finally finished. So "just about a week" actually means a month and a half, and also you'll probably be redoing some of their shoddy work. Just do yourself a favor and use someone else!
