Horrendous dealership. I got my tire patched at this dealership, tire completely came off, said they'd have a manager call, never got call. Spoke with corporate, said there was nothing they could do because I called my insurance roadside assistance instead of Lexus roadside assistance. I rarely leave reviews on any place I visit, but I have to come here and share with everyone how amazing my experience was! Before coming to this dealer I went to 3 different Lexus dealer ships, the representatives that I encountered were not helpful nor did they show interest to help me find a suitable car for me. I visited JM Lexus as the last place I'd look before going to a non Lexus dealer and honestly this was the best decision I made. I met Khaled Dandashi who from the beginning was very professional, helpful and resourceful. I told him what I was looking for, he listened and helped me find more than what I desired. He was not pushy, he explained to me all the options that were available and helped the purchase be as smooth as possible. I'm beyond thankful for him, I love my new car! Dont be fooled by their smiles and initial great customer service because once you are locked in it becomes extremely poor. I currently have my 2nd lease with them. The first one went fine. When I turned it in they knew I was going to be leasing a 2nd vehicle. They absolutely refused to help me out on the over mileage and they wouldn't give me any discounts or help with the price of the 2nd vehicle. So much for loyalty to returning customers. A few months with the 2nd vehicle I brought the car in for a wash. Even though their washes are awful you can't beat free. I got the vehicle. I returned home which is 5 minutes away and noticed a gash on the front bumper. I immediately went back and spoke with the service department manager, Diego. He said they have to review the video footage and confirm they damaged it. but that they have 1000s and 1000s of cameras throughout the dealership so if it happened there they would find it. I waited a few days...kept calling and calling for updates. Finally Diego calls me back. He said they don't have videos where the cars gets washed or worked on (so much for 1000s of videos). He said there is one camera that does shows that I came onto their property without the damage, but they also have another camera that shows when their employee parked my car and it shows no damage. Then shortly after I get in the car and leave the property so they could not have damaged it. I said that's impossible. I only drove 5 minutes home and back. There is no way the damage occurred when I was driving. It wasn't even damage that a car would get from driving. It was a gash going down like a tool fell on it. So I asked to see this footage. I went in and he showed. He was right, it didnt show the damage. I said well maybe the damage doesnt show because of the video quality. He doubted that. So I said the night it happened when I came back to complain about the damage, when I left that 2nd time I left the same way the employee went so that same camera should show me leaving the 2nd time.....so lets see if we see the damage in that footage. So Diego pulled it up, and sure enough you cant see the damage. So I was right! The damage just doesn't show because of the video quality. So Diego finally agrees it must've happened there and agreed to have it fixed. So I they take my car to fix the damage and my 5k maintenance service. After a week or so I get my car back....and guess what???? They damaged the car again!!!!!! UNREAL!!!! This time it was on the driver side, front rim...a chuck the size of marble was missing. So I complained to Diego and he said they will take care of it during my 10k maintenance service. Swell. So my 10k just came up and I made an appointment for this afternoon. I came in and showed them proof of insurance for a loner. My insurance card is kind of weird. It has my fiancees name on it since it is her account, but I have another piece of paper that shows my name but the date on that was expired, but it shows the same policy # and info. Diego refused to accept it and the insurance company was closed they could not verify. I said I got pulled over a week ago and a cop said it was fine. Still no. So I said give me the loaner, I will send you the proof in the morning which they have done before. Still no. I am driving around in their lease! Why wouldn't I have active insurance??? It would be the most moronic thing to be leasing a 2016 Lexus and not have insurance. You would think after all the hassle, all the time wasted, all the back and forth, all the frustration they would bend over backwards to make sure I was satisfied. Nope...I am tired of wasting my gas, my time, and my miles because of the incompetency over there. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with this dealership. I knew I was going to be posting a review....either a very happy one or a very unhappy one, I was going to base it off how they handle the situation when I brought the car in to get the 2nd damaged fixed. But they failed so here we are! I would never recommend this dealership to anybody. I will not be getting a 3rd vehicle with them. I wish they would cancel my contract, let me return the lease, and be done with them!!! Oh by the way....now they charge $5 a day when you use their loaners and go through sunpass. I tried to buy a pre-owned Lexus from JM Lexus. I sent them my license and insurance as requested and offered to provide a deposit to hold the car as good faith. Their sales rep insisted that a deposit wasn't necessary and they would most definitely hold the car for me for 3 days til I could get there. The very next day they emailed me and said I needed to call them back right away. I did not see the email in time and was not able to respond back quickly. The next message from them was that because some other customer was standing in front of them wanting the keys to the car, they sold the car to that person. Yup... after guaranteeing me that I could buy the car, and while I was arranging for a loan and insurance. And, after I had agreed to sell my "old" car to someone else. When I asked the sales rep why he didn't call me if it was so urgent, he told me their phones didn't work. Seriously??? Would you ever buy a car from this dealership, ever? So. Easy. Came in hoping to get fair trade in value so I could walk out with a Lexus the same day and that's exactly what happened. They gave me top value for the trade and my rep, Paolo, made this without question the easiest car buying experience to date. No haggling, no beating me up on price anywhere throughout the process. Took an old Lexus ES 300 in for service on the Air Conditioning. My first words to the service technician were that I didn't want to invest a lot to fix an 18 year old car. He nodded his head and began to enter all the data into their system. 10 minutes later he informs me that to just obtain an estimate, the fee was $100. $100 JUST TO GET AN ESTIMATE!! Why he didn't explain that initially (when I told him I didn't want to spend a lot on the car) is beyond me. It took me another 20 minutes to just get my car back from their massive repair bureaucracy. I counted 5 people who looked right through me while I was trying to find the right person to take my paperwork that would eventually reunite me with my car. I expected much more from Lexus. I leased a vehicle Dec 2016. They make a big deal when you are buying the car about how your delivery expert will go over all the features of the vehicle. That was not the case. It seemed very rushed and basically came down to "do you have any questions about your new vehicle?". At that point, you don't have experience with the features to know what questions to ask. They are supposed to be the expert. For example, remote start was an important feature to me. My salesman said it was all handled with a free app. The delivery "expert" mentioned you would have to download an app but did not go into any detail and did not explain that it was a rather complicated process to set up. Also, no one ever mentioned it was only free for the first year and then you would have to pay for the service. I only found that out after setup. Now to my real reason for writing this review. That great app they talked about hasn't worked for two weeks. I've spent several hours on the phone, first with Lexus technical support, then when that went nowhere I spoke to a technology expert at JM Lexus. No one has been able to fix the problem. In fact, they've only made it worse. When I first called JM Lexus, I was at least able to log in to the account (not that it did me any good because it wouldn't link to my vehicle), but now I can't log in to my account at all. Why don't they just put the remote start on your key like every other manufacturer? Why put it on an app that even when it did work, took forever between entering the command and the action happening. Bottom line, they weren't honest about the feature when buying the vehicle and they have been terrible at resolving problems since then. read more

To say this is a good customer experience would be an understatement... this is by far one of the best experiences I've had in Florida. I've been to other Lexus dealerships and I pass all of them just to get to this one and it's only because of Chris Margolis ! I would give JM Lexus less than a one star if I could. I leased a Lexus E350 with the clear understanding that at the end of the lease I could buy the car, if I wanted, for the residual price of the lease. I returned at the end of the lease term, and asked to purchase the car. They told me that I need to call the Lexus Financial and buy it from them - that JM does not do that. I called Lexus and they said I leased the car from JM and I need to go to the dealership and they should take care of it. I went back to JM Lexus and a rude salesman told me that the car, that had 9,000 miles after 3 years and in a spotless condition, was actually worth $2000 less than the residual and JM will pay me $2000 less than it was worth, put me in a another lease, and I had to pay the additional $2000 !!!! Nothing made sense. I asked for a manager, who never showed up, instead, the salesman returned and repeated himself. I took the car to CarMax, they gave me $2000 ABOVE the residual value (that is $4000 more than JM Lexus dealership itself). I sold the car to them and screwed JM out of it. They are a crooks, liars and thieves, who found it more profitable to try and talk me out of it and lease me another car than do the final paperwork to sell me the car. I take my 2012 IS250 in for a car wash about every 2 weeks. Every time I pull up the to the service drive, the men who are supposed to greet you at your car are too busy chatting with each other to even notice that you drove up. Literally every single time I go there I have to get out of my car and ask them for service. One time after the car wash, they parked my car within 10 feet of the overpass where it could have been covered. It started raining ( it always rains in FL) the guy hands me my keys and doesn't even offer to go get my car for me after HE parked it in the wrong spot which was now in the pouring rain. As far as actually work on the car goes, My service advisor was Matt & he was GREAT! I took my car in for standard 5k miles service and was extremely happy. This dealership is top notch. I bought my car from them, I have used their accessories department and their service department. 1) Great sales experience. My sales person Jeffrey Felder was great. I negotiated the price for my car over the phone. He is in the Internet department so he didn't give me any nonsense, try to make me come in, or engage in phony posturing like sales people at other dealers. Jeffrey is a solid no nonsense guy who is very responsive, treats you like an intelligent person, and cares about his customers. I will definitely buy a car from him again. If you are looking for a Lexus call Jeffrey Felder. 2). The accessories department here is very good. I got my ipod integration, satellite radio and F-Sport upgrades done here. Jean-Claude Damion is great. A real professional. 3). I've also had an excellent experience with the service department. I had a rattle in my front right door. I had taken it to a closer dealership to fix and the people at Lexus of North Miami kept the car for 2 days and made it worse. I took it afterwards to JM Lexus, and the tech rode with me. He heard the problem. He quickly figured our where it is coming from. And he fixed it in less than 2 hours. Plus I didn't have an appointment, but he said it would be terrible to let this drag on and made time to do it. That's world class service. 4) There is a superb detail department. It's very reasonably priced and they make your car like new. This place is a long way from my home, but I go here for details. Black paints are hard to detail without creating swirls, but these guys get it perfect. Plus they give you a free loaner car while they are detailing your car - this is unheard of! 5) JM Lexus has the only Lexus authorized bodyshop in the state. I had a small scratch from some road debris on my front bumper, and these guys restored it to like new. There is one thing they could do better: 1) Provide a business center so if a customer wants to wait for service instead of taking loaner, he/she can make phone calls and do work in a quite environment. Currently the wait area has music so there is nowhere to take quite calls. read more

Today I was scheduled for an appointment with the service manager concerning my tire issue. Upon arrival none of the employees were aware of my scheduled appointment. I was finally introduced to a manager named Diego. Who sprawled out on a desk in the middle of the room, I asked him how a brand-new set of tires would only last less than a year. He told me I own a Lexus IIS 350 and my Bridgestone tires would only last 8 to 10,000 miles depending how I drove. Then went on to explain that he told his daughter not to buy one because of that issue. When I asked him how could a 2014 vehicle have rust on their brakes, he told me that was normal. Was in for an oil change on December 31st 2012. I didnt have any where urgent that I needed to be so I and decided to wait for it. The vehicle was sent through what JM refers to as Express Service. About an hour later I got a call from the desk saying the vehicle was done, so I paid, was given my keys, and was told it was parked out front, and that I'm all set. Once I got in the vehicle I noticed that stuff from the glove compartment was scattered all over the floor on the passenger side. In addition there were used work gloves left on the top of the passenger side seats. How disgusting is that? As if that wasn't enough, there was clearly a greasy hand print left by one of the service technicians across the back seat. WTF type of service is this? And let me please add, that this isn't the first time I had an issue like this at this dealership. The last time I had an oil change I encountered a similar type incident. For one, I don't find the staff here the friendliest of people. But what really bothers me is this: when I come here and wait for my car, I go to the visitors lounge on the 2nd floor. I like the layout of the area and it gives me a chance to get work done while here so I don't feel like I am wasting 2 hours. The issue is that sometimes you will find employees hanging out up here and they are loud and boisterous as if they are at a family bbq. One would think that the visitor lounge area is just that. For example, I was here today and there is one lady here with braids who is behaving as if she is at a ballgame or a park. She is extremely loud and for 2 hours has been talking nonstop. Other visitors here are looking around at each other and the lady isn't getting the hint. I'm wondering if she has hearing issues because she is unnecessarily LOUD. This is such an inconvenience because I think all we want as visitors here is a place to relax while waiting to spend hundreds on our car repair/maintenance. Not to be thrown into a break room for employees to behave as they wish. I hope management will enforce professional behavior in the visitor lounge because this is so unfortunate. My other option right now is to go sit outside until my car is done, but why should I. If I find that this issue continues I will go to Fort Lauderdale or further North. I am paying enough to have my car repaired, the least I can do is have an actual place to relax. other employees that are sitting around the desk is almost unnoticeable. they are working. Some dealerships are stellar examples of the fact that no matter what the circumstances it's seemingly embedded in the DNA of all car salesmen to screw their customers in any way imaginable - they basically just can't help themselves. JM Lexus of Margate is clearly one of them. I recently hunted around looking for a used Buick Verano. Not being able to find one locally in Orlando that fit within the parameters I'd set I cast the net progressively wider and wider until JM Lexus came up on the radar with a car that fit the bill. Unfortunately as the dealership is over 200 miles from where I live it presented particular problems logistically and in terms of finalizing a deal. The former was relatively easy to overcome, but in regard to the actual terms of the purchase I was obviously concerned that I wanted all the financial details ironed out before I committed to the trip down south, not least because of the obvious point that by not doing so I'd be at the mercy of the sales staff to work the situation to their advantage, knowing full well that a customer would be much more likely to accept some financial arm-bending in order to save a wasted trip - and the inconvenience of having to use public transport again to return home! So I made it very plain to the salesman I ended up dealing with that I wanted all the details clearly laid out so that there'd be no last minute surprises or shenanigans, a point I repeated again and again, only to be reassured by the salesman that JM Lexus is a reputable and high volume dealership that refrains from the kind of unsavory practices that give the industry such a bad name. Next day I arrived in Margate, got picked up at the bus drop-off point by the enthusiastic salesman, and drove back to the dealership to inspect the vehicle. All went well and I couldn't have been more pleased with the vehicle, though being no expert mechanically I largely had to take the car on faith and trust in regard to Buick's exemplary warranty, which was one of the main appeals in buying a 2016 version of the car. In we went to begin the process, and after waiting within the opulent surroundings and being wowed by all the glad-handing staff and a coffee shop offering up free beverages and food, I was ushered in to see the financial guru to finalize the paperwork. I would point out at this juncture that I myself was not actually signing on the dotted line for the sale and financing as my wife was handing all the details, but as she was indisposed as far as the trip was concerned due to work commitments arrangements had been made with the dealership to essentially sign the car over to us for the trip back to Orlando pending my wife's signature on all the documents, which were to be sent back ASAP via the provided UPS envelope. Later that night, as my wife and I started going through the documents for her to sign we realized that, after all the assurances of transparency, honesty, and the supposed integrity of a 'big' dealership, JM Lexus had royally tried screwing us by playing us for utter fools. They had inserted an $895 charge for GAP insurance in the purchase agreement, no doubt hoping we wouldn't notice and that my supposedly dumb schmuck of a wife would happily sign off on it. To say I feel insulted doesn't even come close. That these arsholes could look me in the face and wax rhapsodic about their integrity while trying to nail us through their backdoor dealings was shameless enough. That they could do it after I had expressly asked them to simply be upfront about their charges and itemize all the costs was worse, not least after all the assurances I'd been given regarding what an exemplar of honest dealing the business is. All of this begs the question of what their modus operandi is in this situation? Do they pull this on all their customers, working on the basis that a small percentage will fall for the slimy subterfuge? Given the fact that I'm Australian, did they just determine that I was an antipodean rube ripe for the picking, or did they just figure that if you're going to screw your own countrymen might as well screw with the citizenry of your nation's closest friends as well to show that car salesmen don't discriminate? But don't let me be the only judge on the matter. In the article linked below note the following extract -- '......some dealer finance managers automatically include gap coverage in your purchase agreement without even talking about it with the buyer. This practice is generally considered unethical, at a minimum'. Can't really say much more on the matter, can I? So please, anyone even remotely considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership take note. JM Lexus has changed... First off, I've been a customer of JM Lexus for almost 15 years and have leased 7 vehicles from them but the lease I am in now will be my last. I drove from Miami Beach to JM Lexus because back then they treated customers like family and really worked hard to ensure customers received the best all around service. Unfortunately those days are LONG gone and JM Lexus is equal to any dealership. None of the people I used to work with the past 15 years are employed with JM Lexus and that should have been my warning before moving forward with another lease. Because I was a long standing customer I have never been charged for excess mileage, received complimentary window tint, and I was able to return my lease 4-6 months before lease end date with all remaining payments being waved. But this time around those extra special JM Lexus perks are gone. The excuse I received from new management was that they would never do these things and the excess charges had to be rolled into my monthly payment. That's strange because my new lease is more than I have ever paid on a monthly basis for a lease from JM Lexus having leased a previous car worth more than the one I am in now. Buying a car can be a difficult experience...this was one I wasn't anticipating. We negotiated a price. They requested and processed my deposit. They told me they should have my car in a couple of days (they didn't have what I was looking for in stock) and then five days later they had still not responded to my phone calls or emails requesting status....I still believe they wanted me to walk away from the deal since I had negotiated a good price. Bought two vehicles from this dealership. Took the newest one for service, an oil change. I was charged for the windshield washer solution and for the time, I guess, of the service writer. Not a lot of money. About 5% of the total bill since I use synthetic oil. I won't be back either for service or for another car. read more
