A month later, I still haven't heard from the other company. The estimation process was relatively painless, and the estimate was received about a week after the site visit. I was told it could be up to 6 weeks before I heard from the scheduler, due to their current workload. However, I was contacted on a Friday about 2 weeks later and was told that Monday had opened up for them and that a truck with the materials was already on its way to my property. Since they didn't need anyone home when the work was performed, I agreed. When I got home from work on Monday, the job was done. There was still some debris in the yard, but they did a really good job of cleaning up. I haven't found a single nail on the ground, yet. There were 30 MPH wind gusts the day of the job, so I'm surprised there wasn't more trash scattered around my 7 acres. (I'm also surprised I didn't find roofers scattered around my place!) I hope to work with them again in the future!

Matt and Kevin were so knowledgeable with Calvert County codes and regulations and offered a wonderful rendering to address the codes and safety! The price was fair and we plan on making them our go-to for our quoted project and many more projects! We love that they gave us a fair price upfront and didn't bargain with us once we said we could not do the project at that time. We asked several friends who each have successful landscape companies in different states and they confirmed the quote we received from Lawn Artist was very fair. We gave Kevin and Matt several inspiration pictures and the rendering we received more than met our expectations so much so that we are putting off saving for a needed kitchen renovation to save for this project instead. Jose Chavez listened closely to everything I said and he and his employees carried out every task quickly and perfectly. In fact, way beyond what I had even hoped for and envisioned in the first place. I first started with just wanting a maintenance free yard going into the next summer. For over 20 years I had tried everything to get my yard to look like some kind of oasis, but because of our soil and shade issues being different all around, nothing ever worked. We have a very large yard full of trees. I planted here, there and everywhere, placed rock, walkways, and tried everything I could to make things nice. Since my husband and I are older now I just wanted a low maintenance yard that we could just enjoy instead of working on all the time. So Jose came in and turned the clock back on my yard 20 years to when it was just green and clean, and modernized the home at the same time. It started with small wants but on a grand scale. But everytime my requested projects were completed and I saw the quality of work in the outcome, I'd look again and see something else I wanted. Jose gave me a price for new work as we went along and we just kept going so far that I ended up getting a brand new front porch, beautiful landscaping, a newly painted pool deck, pavers, new indoor stair railings, and lots more open yard space with the removal of a lot of trees and seeding all around and widening the driveway area by cutting back a lot of brush and small worthless trees. Jose and his crew are very respectful, kind, and hardworking. The pricing has been consistently fair and I'm sure extremely competitive.
