I'm the one who spent almost 45.00 and ordered PORK fried rice but received chicken. When I called to ask how they were going to "fix" our botched order, the man tried to tell me it WAS PORK, like I'm 72 and don't know what chicken tastes like. Great tasting food; our order included shrimp egg foo young, beef pepper steak and fried rice. Orders were promptly deliver to us, hot and fresh. We inquired about the fried chicken wings appetizer, our server shared the process can take 15-20 minutes, so we decided against ordering the wings. The food is not like it used to be and whole place has been declining. The service is crap! The front desk employee that takes the orders is very rude and has a terrible personality. The place just looks dirty and unkept. They used to be good over ten years ago but now they really don't care about their food or customers. All the food has the same flavor and is not good. This place has horrible customer service, and the menu hasn't been updated, so they change the prices and selections for lunch specials, etc. at will. From the time they answered the phone to take my order, til I walked in to pick up the order, then finally paying for the food, each encounter was just as rude as the next. To add insult to injury, the food was subpar and the portions were minimal with increased prices. Do yourself a favor and find another place to dine for Chinese cuisine! Talk about fast delivery! We have ordered from this place several times. They say 30-45 min and it gets to our door in about 18 minutes! So after trying the delivery we stopped in to eat there and what a treat, the lunch specials are a very good deal and as always you get a decent portion of food for the money. The service is pretty good, a pet peeve of mine is reaching over my plate while you are waiting on me! They tend to that allot here, but the last time the waiter did not and perhaps he heard me say so! Cause he did not reach over and came to the proper side to serve my meal and refill our water. My husband ordered Mongolian beef and it was mostly onions with a few pieces of beef. We paid 12$ for a bowl of onions and another 12$ for a couple of fried shrimp that I didn't even order. Well deserved three stars. The service nears five stars. The server was attentive without being intrusive. Kept the table cleared of empty / used dinnerware. Drinks were freshened frequently. Unfortunately, the food was not on par with the service. Egg roll was stuffed full with all manner of egg-roll-style edibles. Fried pleasingly crisp showing a color of medium brown. There is a picture attached showing them in the background of my hot and sour soup. All I can say is they were devoid of distinct character. Far from anything objectionable. There was no fireworks. My hot and sour soup showed the same recessive nature. It too was packed with an array of happy soup-stuff. Pleasing to the eye but vacant on the palate. There was a bit of chemical tingle but no jolt of flavor. On the other side of the table, my wife's egg drop soup was a different experience. Wonderful stock of chicken and egg intermingled. The flavor was solid, almost robust. She permitted / spared only two spoonfuls. Fried pork dumplings are very pleasant. Firm little globes of minced pork, combined with savory aromatics. Toothsome. The dipping sauce added another layer of depth. When it comes to entrees, I need to change my game. The Chicken Orange is okay. Yes, it was the routine chunks of chicken, coated and crispy fried, then drenched in a viscous sauce, entrée. This one was moderately sweet and with a pop of orange zest interspersed . Floating in the sauce mixture were pieces of dried peppers--Chiles de Arbol, Cayenne or japones? I have trouble telling the difference on sight. Although, chewing a piece of pepper didn't provoke a chemical heat response. Wife loves sweet and sour chicken. This representation was pleasing to her palate. I wasn't interested in tasting another deep fried sauced chicken dish. Besides, she really didn't want to share so I didn't feel bad not asking for a bite. My wife said she would not be adverse to returning. I love my wife. If she wants to eat here again, I certainly will be happy to try another dish. However, I will not suggest we return. read more
