Our fragrance specialist (i made that title up) Natasha was the sweetest and she was extremely helpful when my friend wasn't confident about the scents she was developing. What a neat experience!…read more The fam wanted to do a fun activity over the holidays. I stumbled upon The Candle Pour while searching for fun activities in or near Hyde Park. I suggested candle making and another activity and candle making was everyone's top choice. We made a reservation for a party of six and arrived a few minutes early. We were greeted and got started right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got to choose the type of candle, the size, and the scent(s). There are over 100 scent options, so it can be overwhelming if you're indecisive or not sure of what you want. I chose pine needles, white pepper, and black oud for my scents. After choosing our scents, the staff walked us through the pouring process step by step. Once the candle is poured, it will need to set for two hours before it is ready to go home. Since they were closing, we decided to come back another day to pick them up. We all loved our scents and were excited to light them. However, you have to wait two weeks before lighting them, which was the tough part! We've had our candles for almost three months now and use it sparingly since we like them so much and don't want to run out quickly. We thought the prices were reasonable especially for the quality of the candles and the experience. Highly recommend!

My friend finally found more reusable makeup rounds, complete with their own storage bag, after she's been looking for a few months to replace the ones she's had and used for years but are starting to show some definite wear. The cashier and person assisting with stocking were both friendly and helpful without being pushy/overly involved (ALWAYS appreciated as an introvert!). Mylez and the his staff were amazing. I had brought my mother along to help, since she did have some idea about flowers, and they asked a number of questions about the overall feel of the wedding, the colors we were using in our outfits, and our own personal style. We looked over pictures of Andrews Chapel, our ceremony, location and they had lots of ideas to discuss. We decided on an overall feel and some colors for the floral components and left the details in their very capable hands. We could not have been more pleased with the final results! The pew decorations were simple but elegant and showcased the natural beauty of the wood of the chapel. My bouquet was amazing, in shades of white, cream and burgundy. And for the reception, they designed very casual but lovely centerpieces around orchids, which we were able to send home with our guests. Everything exceeded our expectations and added just the right accents to our special day. No problems at all with delivery or setup at either of our locations. The owner appeared from the back and had just put everything away. He didn't seem to mind all all to pull things back out for me. He created a beautiful small arrangement while chatting me up about all sorts of things. Very personable and talented. I also asked for petals for the table. The arrangement was $35 which I felt was adequatly priced. The petals were $5 which was way overpriced. I didn't balk and had to run out to make the party. I would definitely order from him again. I felt he definitely was talented and had beautiful flowers in stock. 6 days later and I know the flowers are still beautiful and look fresh so that is a plus!

i ordered an armoire in june 2026(i have ordered 2 previously and did have any issues but the last…read moreorder took forever. i finally got a delivery date for today, july 16, 2026 between 8;30 and 12:30. i drove 7 hours just so i could be done with ballards. the delivery never happened. the deliver driver to call me, i did see a missed call and have tried to call back 8 or 10 times. i called the delivery co and the driverbtook a picture of vehicles in drive and a front door which anyone can walk by my home and do that. there is no picture showing them knocking on front door or ringing doorbell or knocking on door. i live in a small home and you know when someone is at your door. i can shop at pottery barn and have white glove delivery. dont shop at ballards the customer service is horrible. ive gone into the store and tried to pay cash. the store doesnt take cash. cash is a legal tender of the united states of america. i called customer service and they dont care. dont shop at ballards.
