Furniture and decor shop located inside the International Plaza Mall, offering everything from patio furniture to laundry room drying racks. We walked in and headed to the right. We first saw dining tables, plates, chargers, etc. Everything was laid out in dinner party designer style. They also had a variety of deco and accessories on tables and in cabinets. Beyond that was a bedding section. Laundry and mirrors were up next. From there we headed atriums to the left side of the store and into the patio and garden area. The patio furniture was a personal fave. I enjoyed the setups they had and options. The prices were lower than we anticipated them being for the location and style of the shop. i ordered an armoire in june 2026(i have ordered 2 previously and did have any issues but the last order took forever. i finally got a delivery date for today, july 16, 2026 between 8;30 and 12:30. i drove 7 hours just so i could be done with ballards. the delivery never happened. the deliver driver to call me, i did see a missed call and have tried to call back 8 or 10 times. i called the delivery co and the driverbtook a picture of vehicles in drive and a front door which anyone can walk by my home and do that. there is no picture showing them knocking on front door or ringing doorbell or knocking on door. i live in a small home and you know when someone is at your door. i can shop at pottery barn and have white glove delivery. dont shop at ballards the customer service is horrible. ive gone into the store and tried to pay cash. the store doesnt take cash. cash is a legal tender of the united states of america. i called customer service and they dont care. dont shop at ballards. read more

I love this place each time we pass by. I have to take a stop to look at all the beautiful decorations and furniture. However, I've been in here multiple times and nobody really cares to introduce themselves or help you out so good luck getting some help. If you ask for it, though they can be very helpful when I finally decided to purchase my desk I was able to get just to do some Designs for me free of charge, which was super nice. I was able to get free delivery with their special that they were running they only do this once or twice a year usually just says that they do free delivery and 30% off during memorial weekend. However, their delivery Options aren't the best because they don't have white glove delivery. You do have to build your items and themselves however they will make a recommendation for someone to come help you if you need it. read more

I received the rug about 20 minutes ago. They did bring it in but did not set it up. They said they were told only to bring it in. Although I appreciate all that Margaret in the Tampa stores tried to do after my complaint I was promised two weeks and there was no communication up to that point. It should not have taken two months to receive the rug. The lack of communication was non existent and unexceptional . The portal was not updated with accurate information on when to expect delivery. As mentioned this is the second time I've had a problem with purchasing home furnishings from Ballards. Therefore, I have no intentions of ever shopping at Ballard again or recommending your company. Buyers beware!... What you see isn't always what you'll get. I purchased a sofa and when it was delivered I noticed something was off but couldn't pinpoint what was missing. I went back to the store to see the floor model, and noticed there were 8 legs underneath the sofa that were missing on mine. The sales person told me "If they didn't add them it probably doesn't need them"... turns out, they were a very important part of the sofa as those legs support the frame and prevent it from sinking to the ground, like mine did as soon as 2 people sat on it. The "amazing warranty" they sell you is a joke. For starters, there is no one you can talk to. You have to put in a claim online and wait 48 hours for someone to get back to you. When they finally called me, they said it would take 12 weeks to get the parts delivered, at which time I would have to call back to schedule a tech to come out and install them (that could take an additional couple of weeks). It is insane that they expected me to wait 3+ months without being able to sit on a sofa they just delivered and didn't properly put together. Needless to say I returned the Sofa (which they made nearly impossible). The amount of time I spent through this process was ridiculous and unnecessary. I will never set foot in a Furniture City Store and would never recommend them to anyone. read more

One of my very favorite clients is HSN (better known to some as Home Shopping Network). Several of you practically froth at the mouth whenever I check in for the day at HSN's Clearwater campus, since you also seem to love watching the HSN cable channel and shopping for their products. I learned last year that HSN owns a whole 'nother division called Cornerstone Brands, which are a series of retail catalog companies featuring home furnishings, clothing, furniture, children's clothes, travel accessories and so on. One of these brands is called Ballard Designs, and they're based in Atlanta, but also have a retail store on the upper level of International Plaza. Prior to making a trip to their Atlanta headquarters, I wanted to visit the retail store and become more familiar with their products. Ballard Designs is located directly above Life Time Athletic, which means that if you enter the mall from the Bay Street food court and walk past Fit2Run, you'll find Ballard Designs across center court from you and behind the banks of elevators. The store is absolutely gorgeous and an interior decorator's dream. They describe their products as European-inspired home furnishings, and the manager further clarified that it is French casual and contemporary. Regardless of what they call it, the displays are stunning, and it is quite fun to walk through their store and take in the well-dressed living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and other ideas for you to incorporate in your home. They have furniture, rugs, throw pillows, linens, elegant tablescapes, and all sorts of decorative accessories for your home. This is a great place to wander and take in some great decorating ideas, and maybe find a special piece to include in your home. I certainly could not afford to decorate my condo in this style, and besides my IKEA furniture would probably get jealous, but I will definitely pick up some of their throw pillows and maybe a nice flower vase for my girlfriend's birthday. read more

I absolutely love Ballard Designs and am so glad they have a store in Tampa that I can visit and see in person so many of the beautiful items from their catalog. As I look around my house, every room has something from Ballards - whether I've purchased it at their store or from the catalog. I love to take several "laps" around the store just to see what they have on display. The staff is always very friendly, helpful and informative and I appreciate that they don't hover over me but are there if I have a question or need more info. The store is beautiful and I can't wait for it to re-open soon (from the pandemic) and I'll be able to get my Ballard's "fix" and find something else I just have to have! read more

I went to the mall only for this store. I wanted to see the acrylic drapery rods in person before deciding whether to order online. Too bad they don't have a store in the Orlando Mall, which I find much more home decor oriented. I enjoyed seeing all the items in person and bought some things that turned out to be higher quality in person than I anticipated. Staff was lovely and helpful. Honestly, I avoid shopping at this Ballard Design store because of the consistent unpleasant and rude behavior of one of the sales associates. Ronna does such a good job of ruining my shopping trips. This is an amazing company. I have been a satisfied client for YEARS, but just had the occasion to be an even BIGGER fan! I purchased a small accent table back in December and instantly tipped it over and broke the glass top. The adorable frame has been sitting here, taunting me, for the last 6 months. I checked with the glass store in town, and they told me that a replacement disc would cost about $100. On a hunch, I just spoke with the customer service reps at the store and they are sending me a replacement top, without charging for either the top OR the shipping! As I told them, they have a customer for LIFE!! That kind of customer service is rare. read more

EMABARRASINGLY BAD SERVICE! This is the first yelp review I've ever written, and unfortunately it isn't favorable. I've been a Ballard Design customer for many years, and have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on dining, office, art and décor. I made the mistake of opening a Ballard Design credit card to take advantage of a promotion BD was offering. I was issued 3 gift certificates for $125 each in value. I made purchases at Christmas time using all 3 certificates. Then my bill arrives and the third certificate was not used on the purchase- nor did the customer service agent have any record of it. I'll spare your boring yet incredibly frustrating, time suck of events these past 8 weeks in trying to rectify the missing certificate. The result = Ballard Design issued the 3rd certificate in error. And they're sorry for my inconvenience. No offer to credit me the mere $125 or refund, or even ask if I'd like to return the items. After speaking with 4 different agents - the bank/credit card pointing figures at Ballard Design and BD doing the same back to the bank - I have cancelled my account and will NEVER shop there again. It's a shame - I hope the $125 was worth the thousands of dollars lost, plus the negative reviews I've shared on social media and by word of mouth. read more

If there were a place for zero stars I would select it. Ordered a beautiful sofa table that was not in stock. That's fine completely understandable . However, when delivered it was damaged and the response from customer service was terrible. If you are going to do any business here make certain you carry out your item and are completely satisfied so you never have to deal with any legitimate consumer concern. I ordered an item from the store in Tampa in July. It is now Sept and they still couldn't come up with the item. The store mgr Stacy who originally placed the order entered the estimated delivery for Aug 17- Aug 24. I was told someone will call me when the order is ready to be picked up from the store. Of course nobody called. I made follow up calls which I've documented on Aug 18, Aug 22, and Sept 1. In addition, I made a call from my car and was transferred to receiving. I couldn't write down the man's name while driving. He said he'll call back, but never did. On my last phone call, I spoke to "Jerian" (couldn't understand name over the ph). I was transferred to Debbie, then transferred again to a different store mgr, Claire. She said she'll track it and call me back later the same afternoon. I asked what time the store closes, 5:00pm, asked if she'll be there, she said "yes". Guess What? NO CALL back! Not only the fact that they can't find my ordered item, nobody would call and give me any information. They keep promising to call but they never do. This is unacceptable and moronic!
