When I took this step he called me up and became unhinged. I never did get to tell him why I switched agents. I suggest you not waste your time with Jason. My girlfriend and I recently moved to Minnesota (from California) and my previous insurance company…read moreof many years informed me that my insurance would not apply to the land of 10,000 lakes... So I logged onto the State Farm site and signed up for renters insurance. Sharlene promptly gave me a call. She quickly became my new agent. Primarily because she is very polite and professional. I secured a renters insurance plan for only about $8 per month! If my experience had ended there it would have been a 4.5 Star transaction... TRAGICALLY it did not. Since I was also in the market for Auto insurance as well I figured it couldn't hurt to get a quote. I told her that all I needed was the state minimums as I have never been in an accident (Knock on wood). She sent me over a quote for about $80 per month. It sounded about what I was paying for in California so I agreed. Two months passed... I miraculously received my first bill in the mail. It was sent to the wrong address but the post office managed to get it to me anyways. The bill read $145 for the month!!! Good God! My rate had almost doubled! I now owed nearly $300 for two months of auto insurance! I was an idiot and paid it, because they told me that if I canceled then they would have to report it and my rates would go up for not having coverage between policies. 20 days later I get home and check the mail and find a bill sent to the wrong address with my name on it. My monthly insurance rate is now $225.05 for the month! FML!!! 3 months into my plan, my rates have dramatically increased with each consecutive passing month without letting me know why. After a number of calls to State Farm, they still cant send my mail to the proper address. I have never in my entire life had such a terrible experience with any company. Do not do business with them, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
