This is one of the better JoAnns in the area. On the larger end for selection and not cramped like some of the other ones in town. Make sure to hit the back of the store to see the super clearance items. This is also your friendly reminder to download their app. The coupons in the app stack better than the ones you find online. This Joann is huge, extensively-stocked, neat, clean, and usually not insanely busy. I always check the website before visiting for the current coupons; you can also have them sent to your home and email by signing up for their mailing list. Between their weekly sales and coupons, there is never a reason to pay full price for anything here. Had a horrible experience with Sue today. We were standing looking at fabric when we heard "ladies, ladies, ladies"... we look up and see sue obviously annoyed that we were in her way. I asked her if she needed us to move and she just sighed... So this was her way of telling us instead of politely asking us to move. We then go to get our fabric cut where we unfortunately run into her behind the counter. she was rude again, and her fellow employee did not utter one word and gave rude looks the hole time like Sue had told us about our encounter and we were these horrible people. I shop here often. I love making things, and get all sorts of wacky ideas that I buy supplies for and then manage to forget about... Story of my life. Thankfully trips here never break the bank. The coupons sent via text are awesome, and the teacher discount is terrific. Sadly, my last trip included custom framing. I had some really neat pictures that needed frames. The selection was good, pre-cut matting was a huge savings.... My disappointment was that I was told one of the pictures needed a custom frame, and I'd never find a frame that size, unless it was created for me (18x24). I opted not to get that picture framed, because I just don't have the $150 to get a frame that size. Just for my own curiosity, I popped through another craft store on the way home. I found a varied selection of frames in the size I needed. Ranging in price from $25-$100, I had a plethora of less expensive choices. I ended up spending only $34 for the perfect frame. The things I did have framed were done well, and look great. Still, I will shop around next time I need frames. I will use JoAnn for all of my crafting follies, but the framing advice I received left a bad taste in my mouth and I will keep looking for a new place to fill that need. read more

Not a terrible experience, but could have been better. I was making a padded headboard and went there for fabric and padding. Their selection of fabric is good, but they do this sneaky thing where they put all of their fabric "on sale" for a marginally lower price, but then none of their coupons from the weekly fliers apply. Nothing illegal, but not quite ethical either. The woman who was cutting the fabric for us was quite nice and helpful, especially given that we had forgotten to calculate how much fabric we needed. However, the check-out woman was atrocious! The bill wasn't clear to us (I have a hard science degree from a top university and am by no means challenged by math) and she grumpily refused to explain how things should be rung up! All I needed was a simple one-sentence clarification of a price, which I soon figured out on my own, but her response was simply unacceptable. As someone who has experience in the service industry, I was appalled by her actions. Luckily, I am moving out of town and will not have to decide whether to patronize this shop again or not. read more
