I visit Joann's for all my craft needs. It's a one stop shop for my sewing knacks, fabrics and accessories. There are multiple locations with a wide variety of products between them. The prices are a little high but they offer discounts and usually have a sale. The store is clean but dusty. There is a private parking lot that is handicap accessible. Recommended. read more

DID have the color floss I needed, even though online indicated out of stock. This Joann is tbe closest to me, so that's convenient. However, the card reader kept declining my visa giftcard, even though I tried splitting the purchase to use it all up. Actually, the whole reason I was attempting to shop in-person, rather than do online with pick up (which also lost me a 20% online only deal!!) Was to use up this card. I have no idea what was up with that, so I'll probably shop other chains in the future for my craft needs. read more

Their corporate office should just go ahead and close the place down so it can go ahead and become another Halloween Super Center. At 6 PM the store was staffed, with a girl who had been there one month. Apparently, there was another employee there but she only emerged when the Brinks man snowed up. I don't know why he was there. They clearly weren't selling anything. I have driven 100 miles to look at their window treatments. There is no selection. They have no window treatments. If the store is closing, it should close that should not try to be open while they're "moving" that's just greed on the corporate level. For some reason, they didn't even tell the staff that the store was moving. It was just sprung them suddenly. CLOSE IT DOWN. And if you shop online, you can undercut what the store offers anyway. Bought a singer heavy duty machine from JoAnn, it broke within an hour of normal use. Machine jammed and won't sew at all. Joann doesn't take returns, they told me I'd have to deal directly with Singer. Turns out Singer doesn't take returns either, and they will only repair it if I send it to Kansas City any pay shipping both ways. Shipping something this heavy will cost me as much to ship as I paid for the machine! Also the Singer website doesn't work, you can't see where the machine repair locations are. I requested a return shipping label and they said they would send it in 3 days but I never got it. Never shop here again and never get a singer!!! The whole thing felt like a big scam. Pros: - Big selection of fabrics - There's always a coupon you can use - Employees can be very knowledgeable and helpful in giving advice for your project Cons: - Few employees on the floor to ask questions from - Usually a bit of a wait to get fabric cut (15-20 minutes - Can feel overwhelming if you're not sure what you're looking for I usually only come here once in a while if I have a small project I'm working on. Each time I've come here, I've been able to get what I need except for staples to go in a staple gun. They have only one brand of staples and it's the wrong kind. I end up having to get those at Home Depot but I can get everything else here. Check out is fast and efficient. They usually ask for coupons and if you don't have one, they tell you how to get one. Also, usually when you get your receipt, you get a coupon (last time I got a 50% off one item coupon) so if you're not in a hurry, you can come back in a few days to use it and save even more money on your project. read more

I spend a lot of time at Joann's. This is the one closest to my home and my husband and I are both artists. The employees are great and so kind. My only frustrations are that this is a semi smaller location so they dont carry full stock on some sections, like the unfinished wood section. Also, I wish they had a scooter for the disabled shoppers. read more

Wonderful selection of fabrics and lots of sales going on. Went looking for outdoor fabric and they had a ton, most on sale. Very helpful employees to show you where things are located. Clean, well lit store. Wheel chair accessible. No electric carts but a pushable wheel chair if you need it. Clerk told me of a coupon that I did not know about. Woo hoo! I like a good coupon. Bought a new sewing machine and was completely lost. I knew I'd need fabric, and after trying michaels, realized that joann must be the only major craft store that has fabric. I went to the counter and Beqi helped me out. I'd been you-tubing trying to figure out what I was doing wrong with my new sewing machine. She gave a list of things to try and correct the problem, and they all helped me sew better. There are amazing coupons online, so I left with 5 yards of fabric, including a Nicole Miller print, wire, 3 fabric squares and 2 rolls of ribbon for wrapping presents for 30 bucks. And you can use multiple coupons per checkout.. And the receipt included another coupon for next time. read more

I went in here for some knitting supplies, and couldn't find a single person to ask for help. There was one cashier and one person in fabric. Both were very busy, so as other Yelpers have mentioned, expect lines. They have a nice selection of knitting supplies, fabric, scrapbooking, and baking supplies, so for me, it's a paradise. Standard craft store fare, and when I stopped in, everything was well organized. Cute holiday decor is here as well. This isn't the largest craft place I've been to but it's pretty good. Check online for coupons before you go, a lot of things are usually on sale, so I've found it better to wait for something to go off sale and use the usual 40% off coupon. So when I got to the front I thought the service was great. The cashier was great, I just wish they had someone on the floor that could offer help to novice crafters like me, but the lines suggest a general understaffing. I generally visit Michael's more than Joann's but if I need fabric, this is the place. This location seems to be a bit messier than others, but the workers are fairly helpful, and despite the mess, the things I'm looking for are in stock. The sales are great, plus there's often lots of clearance stuff lurking in odd places. Plentiful parking. read more

Do not listen to them when they say you can't use the plush fabrics for tie blankets- they are completely lying.

The customer service here is terrible. I waited way too long at the fabric counter, one woman was waiting on customers and the other said she'd be right with us. Instead she spent far too long working on folding a remnant and then continued to ignore us when that was done. I've also been there twice now when one of the cashiers is working two registers. He asks two customers to come up at once and attempts to serve both at the same time. This system does not speed things up at all and actually leaves both customers dissatisfied and feeling like they are not receiving adequate customer service. read more

Stopped today for a little advise on a shirt that needed repair.. Went to the area that said classes and 2 ladies were looking at pictures on there phone. I ask my question & the lady said "Oh you want free advice, you shouldn't have bought the shirt if it didn't fit. Just cut the sleeve." I said thank you for the free advice" She then replied "I live for giving people free advice" Her rude attitude was uncalled for. Her customer service skills need serious redirection. I will never set foot in this store again & certainly hope others tread lightly when going to this store....Or just don't ever go there for help. read more

I was in search of bridal lace. I was told this store had 17 yards of what I needed. They had it, but the lace was dirty and the yardage was in several pieces. The clerk didn't seem to care that it was dirty and she was very impatient with me for wanting clean lace that was not torn. I realize I'm picky, but the cost of this lace and the need for white lace for a bridal veil, I didn't think I was asking too much. The clerk's impatients and total attitude compelled me to write this review. Only saving factor was the check-out clerk counted all the pieces of lace as one item so I got 40% off all of it. read more
