I prefer the Grants Pass location to the Medford store, even though it's an hour and change drive for me. Like another reviewer posted, the back of this Medford store seems to be ignored, and in shambles, on a consistent basis. It's been that way for many, many years to one extent or the other. I went there this past Saturday to get some yarn and they've really outdone themselves this time. Aisles crammed with boxes so that you can't get through, stacked quite a bit above head height, some looking ready to topple. Extremely unsafe. Also made it impossible to shop for yarn, although some customers had dragged big boxes into the main aisles and rooted through them. Looked like some had other random craft supplies in them, so are they using this area for storage, or what? There were clear spaces on the top shelves of some aisles, why did they not just put boxes up there? It appeared they were re-stocking the entire store, and anyone who shops has seen a store in the process of restocking, but this was next level crazy. And no employees were doing any restocking. I wondered for a minute if they were closing down. It's like management there just doesn' care. Who leaves a store in this state? I went over to Michaels where I was able to actually get to the yarn and they were re-stocking, as well. But in the normal way where customers can shop at the same time. I spent my money there. The bright spot of this location are the employees at the fabric cutting station. Always nice. The wait times are long, as are the lines and wait time at the register, but we always just pad in an extra half-hour when we go to account for that. read more

Popped into this store looking for artificial flowers. The don't have a big assortment like Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Mostly a fabric store. Very clean and I ended up buying a few of their greenery. I'll probaBly be back to check out their fabric section. read more

I will never return to this disaster of a store. To say fabric was on the floor in every aisle would be an understatement. it seems like not much has been restocked in a long while in almost every department. Lighting is poor from front to back. The fabric table ladies are always nice. but no ones in a hurry here; waits are long. I've been in many excellent JoAnn stores, but this is not one of them. read more

The back of this store seems to be ignored, I go back there to get some embroidery supplies and there cross stitch selection just plain ol' sucks, also i think they use this area to store peg hooks? lol. They have this end-cap with really cool and new looking crochet supplies, been there for about a month now and nobody has put prices up on it yet. There is an area (again in the back) with a lot of fabric. Its like the island of misfit toys back there. Just piles of messy and unorganized fabric. Is it for sale? Does it have no other place to go? Put it on clearance and get it the heck out of there! First time I wandered in that area I thought I was in a forbidden employees only zone. Nope just the land of "eh". I love going to this store, I just wish management cared a little more. Please care a little more management I don't want to drive to Grants Pass! read more

I have shopped Joann's for 20 years. I am making masks for medical personnel during this covid-19 crisis. I know MANY people are sewing masks. I know why there is not elastic, or pipe cleaners anywhere, not even Ebay/Amazon. They can't fix that. That's ok. I was in progress sewing when my iron quit. Need a new one. I ordered online and got a few other things. Then a second order for some cute fabric. Both to pick up at the store. I was not allowed a discount, coupon. I have been on the mailing list, email etc. I shop often. So when I pick up, I also buy more, fabric, thread, more stuff. I ask if I can get a little discount. no. I have spent $150 in 12 hours, three purchases. As soon as I loaded my stuff into the car, there was a coupon in my email. 40% off. In three orders, THEN they offer a discount?? Two months ago I ordered a few things. My bank says they got their payment. I didn't get the items. Email to JOann, response is find the order number. I am unable to do that. I had to buy more items to replace the missing order. But, They seem to be doing their best today to keep everyone happy and safe during this Covid-19. but the staff seemed fearful, probably of the virus. I should have gotten the coupons before my trip to the store. I might have saved a little money to spend there. not happy. read more

The selection in this store is superior to some others I have been in, however it receives a 1 star rating because of the service, timeliness, and general attitude of staff (with one or two exceptions). It's unfortunate. read more

Fabric area looked like a twister went through it. Fabric stacks on floors and hanging off the racks. Gave up looking through the mess and went somewhere else. Trip hazard. Not sure if they are short staffed. Store was very quiet and not busy for a Saturday. No line at the fabric counter or at checkout. read more

Fabric prices are better than Crafter's Warehouse, but higher than Walmart. Staff are outstanding. Good bead selection.

I love this place when I am in need of crafting supplies. They have a lot of buttons and ribbons, just what I needed and everyone is very helpful and friendly. Their excellent customer service will make me choose them over Craft Warehouse any day. read more

On memorial day weekend I was coming to shop about 5minutes before 6pm. Their website said open till 9pm. Upon opening the door the cashier screamed at me that they were closed. I will probably never shop there again. I have PTSD and she scared me and continued to attack verbally when I didn't immediately leave even though I was in shock. Horrible employees! read more

I have a large project I'm working on for a client which required 35 yards of material. I found the perfect material, but they only had 5 yards on hand. The lady helping me said that they have the other 30 yards "just at their warehouse" and I could just order the rest. They always get shipments in on Tuesdays. This led me to believe that they would have the material here on Tuesday, which at the time, was only 4-5 days away. Well, here comes Tuesday. No call. So I called them. They began to tell me that their warehouse is in Visalia, CA and that it would be at least 4 weeks before I could get my material. (Now, by this time, I've already started my project, used the first 5 yards of material and INSTALLED those pieces already.) So now I have a client who should have their project completed by this weekend, having to wait another 3-5 weeks just for the material to arrive? This was never explained to me and I would have NEVER purchased anything from them and went to another store who had material. I even would have driven to a larger city to buy all the material if I had known it would have been 4-6 weeks for delivery. Having said all this.....Joannes called me and had my material airlifted in two days and got me what i needed immediately. Kudos for going the extra mile! read more

The new store in Grants Pass gets a big 'thumbs down' from me. I saw a product on the shelf with a sign under it that said "50% off". When I got to the register, I didn't receive the discount. The store manager was called to look at the sign and she acknowledged that the sign was under the item and that the sign said "50% off". However, in the small print, there was a note that the 50% off went for socks that were hanging to the side of the shelf. The manager refused to make good on the deceptive advertising. So sad! Not a good beginning for a new business to Grants Pass! Buyer Beware! read more
