My mom and I frequent this location at least once a month. The employees are always friendly and helpful. If you are looking for something specific and they don't have it in store, they will search other locations for your item. They offer in store classes and virtual classes online. A few tips: - Download the app to your phone. Not only can you shop online, you will also have access to all current coupons and weekly sales. - Have the cashier scan ALL coupons. Sometimes you can use several at once! - Bring your own bags. They are now bagless. You can purchase plastic bags for $0.05 a piece or reusable bags for $1.99 each. - Grab a cart when you go in. We always find items that we didn't know we "needed". This will save you from having to go back later. read more

Great selection, but don't count on being able to get your items if you order online for store pickup. Even though I ordered after store hours items that were listed as in stock a third of my order was canceled--either they didn't record their inventory well for a significant portion of their inventory (so many items were listed as in stock incorrectly) or the person finding my order didn't really try finding all of the items. Oh and they don't answer their phone even when the store is open so it's impossible to actually ask questions or get help on your order if you do have problems. Joann is my favorite fabric store. The staff is always friendly and more than willing to help you find what you need. They always have reasonable prices and you can actual use their coupons. Other fabric stores make it almost impossible to use their coupons and their pricing can be ridiculous. I love decorating for the holidays. They always have the cutest things for every holiday. I love going to the store before the next season to see what they have. They also beautiful wreaths and floral arrangements. I also love taking my pictures and postcards and putting them in albums. I also love putting pictures that I bought while traveling in frames with mats and buying my command hooks to hang them. This place is great. Check it out. read more

Everything in the store was laid out very logically, and I was able to find the fabric I was looking for. It's pretty much self service, however once I got to the cutting counter, the clerk was extremely helpful. There were a lot of fabrics on sale, and prices were very reasonable. I was very happy with my purchase. I liked their system of checkout lines, everyone waited for the first available register, and it moved very quickly. read more

A shirt that I loved had a tear in it and I stopped by to get needle and thread. I didn't know anything and asked someone for help. She showed me that correct size needle to get. I ended up buying like a starter kit with some thread, a mix of needles and spare buttons. Cool little thing to have. Its small enough to fit in my purse. I also bought silk since the shirt needing fixed was silk. The employee that helped me find needle also informed me of a 60% off regular priced item coupon on their website. I use retailmenot so I already had the coupon but it was nice of her to let me know of such a great deal. My total came to like $6. Awesome. I hope fabric and craft stores never go out of style. I generally only use this store for scrapbooking supplies, but the handful of times I have purchased other things (like the bits to make our Axl and Slash costumes for Halloween), they have come through on that end as well. The staff seems to love helping you figure out how to make your crafty dreams come true. Their scrapbooking selection is huge. Lots of great stickers and decals, a massive selection of 12x12 papers, and a helpful and knowledgeable staff. They have a decent supply of actual albums to make your scrapbook as well. My only complaint is that they never seem to carry paper packs of just blue. I know that's a nit-picky complaint to make, but I am a little weary of having to constantly buy blues that come with greens or in a 'primary color pack.' (This is a widespread problem across scrapbooking supply stores, but since this JoAnn's always comes through for me, I keep expecting them to surprise me with blue paper lol.) Other than my little beef with the lack of blue scrapbook paper packs, I really like this store and their selection. I have recently been to their Cranberry location as well, and this one on McKnight seems to have an even bigger scrapbook department and more variety. Joanne certainly has big a selection of crafts/fabrics/notions--and their prices are just as big. My biggest complaint about Joanne Fabric is service--there is none (not unusual in today's market--lots of selection--No Service). I have walked out of the store many, many more times than I've made a purchase because there's one clerk, and ten customers in line--and they all have coupons, or questions. These folks are getting minimum wage, how about hiring enough of 'em to service your clients !? read more

This place reminds me of Spotlight at home. It's huge. It has a huge variety of items that are found in Spotlight at home too. From crafts, to homewares, to D.I.Y. projects, to fabrics to yarns to ... well everything. If you are looking for something to do then this is the place to go and get lost in. I'm in here just about once a week. The store is rather large and is always clean. The restrooms are clean too. They have a nice yarn selection. I also scrapbook and they have a nice selection of supplies for that as well. I would like to see them carry a larger selection of companies; however that is not something this store has control over. I've taken a few classes for crochet here as well. Pat is absolutely the best teacher! I would highly recommend taking a class with her for knit or crochet or anything she might teach. It's completely worth the price. You can get coupons in your e-mail, a phone ap, text messages, regular mail. Many times they have 50% off the classes! My only complaint is the classroom size and sometimes you have to do your class right in the middle of the selling floor which is not conducive to learning (in my opinion) I don't like to be gawked at while I'm trying to learn something or disrupted by giggling teenagers running around laughing and shrieking or crying toddlers who don't want to be forced to look at fabric one more second. So if they have more than 1 class going someone has to take the sales floor - that's the only drawback. They also honor MIchael's coupons. read more

They have amazing deals each time I go there. The parking is nice, not too cramped. It's easy to locate. The staff isn't very knowledgeable when it comes to the products they sell. I bought a sewing machine at Joann Fabrics and they basically told me when I would be attending my class to learn how to use it. They didn't ask me my schedule or when a good day and time is good for me. They just told me, "This day at this time. If you can't make it, call and ask for (some name) and they'll reschedule you." I called back to reschedule a day or two after purchasing the sewing machine and they said that there's no way to reschedule, and that the person I asked to speak to didn't even work there. Not a great experience. But at least it's a huge store with awesome everyday deals read more

My son and I stopped in after Christmas when they were not anticipating shoppers. We waited in a line of 6 people and one register when they called another salesperson up to ring. Both registers cleared out all folks except myself and my son. While the customer in front of me was called to be waited on, the second salesperson looked at me.....and closed her register?! Unfortunately the person in front of me had multiple items to ring so we waited and waited. Would it have been so hard to ring up my 5 items? Why did she look at me and close? Not the best in customer service. I hope the few minutes she saved was worth it for JOANN Fabrics. read more
