I was disappointed by the huge number of empty shelves, lack of staff and dated and somewhat dirty nature of this store. I did manage to find two small items that were close enough to what I was looking for. Hopefully the lack of inventory and staff will improve as the global supply chain issues get resolved. read more

Today I returned a sewing machine because it was defective. It kept leaving oil on the thread which ruined the material that I was using. Their return policy on the receipt states:"Returns with a Smile are super easy. You can return JoANN purchase anytime with no hassle " Well buyer beware! This is not true! I was given two options 1. Get a replacement or 2. Your money back less a 25.00 stocking fee. I told them that it would not be a good idea to put it back on the shelf as it is damaged. They said they wouldn't but still would charge for the restocking fee, even though they were just walking it to a back room. Interesting! I was hesitant to take option number one as I feared it would do the same thing. The machine was only used this one time and was put back into the original backing. I asked why that policy was not on the receipt and I didn't get an answer from the very rude manager. I wouldn't have had a problem if it was clearly stated on the receipt. So I will shop elsewhere for a new sewing machine. read more

Their shelves are bare to the bone and you get a bunch of stuffy mean ladies working there who will not give you the time of day when you ask where something is. Go to Michael's. They will actually take you to the aisle there. Seems like this store has a supply issue because they never have the items I am looking for (like needle point stretched canvases, which they used to sell). read more

A fairly large and well stocked Joann's. I was especially delighted by their yarn selections, which seemed better stocked and larger than most! They also had some great yarn clearance going on and despite saying I would not buy yarn while on vacation... I couldn't help myself! Oops! They also had a really fun button section and I found just what I'd been looking for in KY, but had just not found... at a decent price too. And the employees were kind despite us weirdos wandering their store! read more

Esperanza I believe her name was, was very rude at the cash register, I asked her where things were and she just pointed at any direction not giving me specifics like aisle number or even a location. I understand people not wanting to speak, but when it comes to location of products there should be a clear understanding between employee & customer on where things are. I tried multiple times to get her to psychically show me where my specific product was at and she refused and just walked away. Horrible customer service! I called Joann Fabric today after looking at their fabric online. I was interested in purchasing material to make our daughter a mask, and she loves Flamingos, which are not easy to find (checked Walmart). Well the lady that answered the phone transferred my call to nice lady who was told what I wanted (Anita) and after finding me two choices, offered to hold them for me for 24 hours, since I live 15 miles from their store. This is customer satisfaction at its finest. I was able to relay the two choices to my daughter via the internet with the numbers and she can select which one or both that she wants. read more

Update to my review yesterday, when I went to complete my project this afternoon - I'm making a T-shirt blanket and needed fabric for the back - the fabric was cut TOO SMALL. Even after I asked her to give me a little extra fabric to ensure that I would have enough she still cut it short. I stopped by this Joann Fabrics to look around the store. This is one of the most organized Joann Fabrics I've been to. In addition, there are hundreds of fabrics and craft supplies to choose from. The aisles were clean and neat. The only bad part was that the clearance items were scattered throughout the store. It felt like a scavenger hunt searching for the sale items. Bathrooms are in the back of the store. They are clean. I enjoyed the friendly hello when I entered the store. read more

Came into this store today looking for 38 ft of Velcro. Upps, this is a craft store not a serious fabric store. Think crafts not sewing, definitely not couture, this is glue sticks and felt with sequins. I was quoted over $100 for the type of Velcro I did not want. H&R Fabric in Phnx was called next and quoted me $35 for the exact type of Velcro I wanted. That difference will pay for gas and lunch and a whole lot more. read more

Consistently one of the nicest, neatest JoAnn's I've shopped. Very helpful employees, well organized. Competes with the local Hobby Lobby as the place to find anything crafting-a pretty mean feat. read more

I called on three different days and talked to three different people trying to get an answer on the precise density of foam they have, all three said they had lots of different types and sizes, and that I would have to come by to see them all and try them. Nobody at this store knows what they are talking about. How annoying to drive all the way there and sure enough, they have nothing that comes even close to what I talked to them about. Then I looked at some of the other prices on wind chimes for example; wow do people really pay that much when walmart is next door? Clueless youngsters in an overpriced store is my review. read more

Slow service. Understaffed. I have been shopping there for the last 9 years (at their prior location as well) because they are (up until recently) the only show in town. Management has always been weak. The store is clean as are the restrooms. Selection is determined by corporation, not local market, but is pretty good. read more

If tgere was less than one star that's what I would give. They shorted me on fabric for my wedding so I talked to the manger and she said well all I can do is give you the correct amount of fabric and the 25% off coupon that's in the paper... Really? I really appreciate the Joann store. I often run in there for one or two items. It has a pretty good craft selection in all categories and great coupon deals, accepting the coupons of Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Sometimes its hard to find an employee to help find an item, but thats no different than the other craft stores in the area. This is my go-to place. read more

Whatever I need it is there. Prices are fair. Some art supplies are limited in the professional painting canvass and brushes. Love the selection of craft and drawing books. They carry wonderful crochet and knitting books and the yarn or thread needed to complete any project. Service is lacking at the registers. Friendly people. Better customers as far as friendly. Coupons are a stickler there. Some work and most don't. Deco stuff is way over priced. My go to store if I have a lot of projects . read more

One of those stores that's a necessary evil. The store is so big & crowded with stuff it actually sickened me when I first entered. There are things you can only get there but its impossible to be happy about that. While the underpaid overworked employess are okay, the experience there is bewildering. I asked my partner to accompany me b/c it is so so hard to focus on what you came in for. Once I went in to get a needle and thread, and had to pass 20,000 or more items just to find them. "Cover me, I'm going in.." The problem is not just scale, its the impersonal nature of such stores. They make people and their lives insignificant. Nearly every item is made in a Chinese sweatshop - bankrupting American workers - with an absurdly elevated price. (At least the thread was make in Germany (better working conditions). As you can tell I hate these "Big Bucks" stores. If there are any positives, its that they still sell fabric - after most stores quit. I dread when I have to go into this store. Although it's well stocked, any nice and helpful employee eventually gets run off by the core group of mean spirited old ladies that run the place. My latest experience--after waiting for 10 minutes in the checkout line for the one clerk (7 people were in the checkout line), I finally got to the checkout desk. Much to my dismay, when I arrived the clerk took a phone call and proceeded to help the caller instead of checking me out. read more
