Over the past 2 years or so I've been shopping at Talbots more and more. I thought it was going to…read morebe my "go-to" store. Not that anyone is going to retire from my clothing purchases, but Talbots has received more of my recent spending dollars than any other company. With Talbots, I've shopped online, at outlets, brick and mortar stores, and I'm also in their rewards program. On Wednesday 4/17/2024 I visited the Stratham, NH store to see if I could find a new pair of jeans to jump on the wide-leg trend. After several different styles (Talbots, if you're reading this, please work on your size consistency!), I found a pair I thought I was really happy with and purchased them. The jeans went straight to my closet from the car. On Sunday, 4/21/2024 I decided to wear them to a brunch. I had them on as I was getting ready and started to feel that they were just a bit too big (the pant itself is pretty heavy) and after a 15-20 minutes I decided to wear something else I felt more comfortable in. Sadly for me, I had taken the tags off and tossed them because I really thought they were going to be fun. On Tuesday, 4/23/24 (**six** days later), I brought them back to Talbots really just hoping I could exchange them for a smaller size. The sales associate consulted with the store manager who replied with a hard NO. No exchange, no return, no store credit without the tags. Didn't matter that I had just bought them at that very store just six days previously, she just wouldn't have it. I'm not sure if this is an actual Talbots policy, as this is the first time I've had this situation. It's hard to image that a retail store can't create a tag, but maybe that's true for them? Even still, I was pretty taken aback that Talbots had such a severe return policy, especially for repeat customers. And it's not as if the Talbots name isn't clearly attached to every garment! Those jeans went from Talbots, my home, back to Talbots...that's it. If that truly is your return policy Talbots, you really need to have your sales staff drum that into the heads of every person that buys from you. Needless to say, I will no longer be shopping with Talbots and I'm disappointed by that. Also disappointed that I have a $129.00 pair of jeans that I don't feel comfortable in. She offered to show me. They were out of the specific item I wanted but she ask the manager if they had any. The manager is very nice and ask if there is anything I wanted and he showed me. The store was well stocked and extremely clean. I ended up buying a lot. Guess what the manager checked me out and held the door open because I ended up with a cart full. The manager a young man with a long name knows how to run a store. They should be an example for all dollar stores. Thank you

The line nearly reached the front door for pick up and placing orders, but the cashiers were efficient and the line moved right along. The regional manager Ann (?) personally helped me place a written order as the computer pads were intimidating and, according to her, malfunctioning randomly at times. I was able to design and personalize two luggage tags, and place the order for two day pick up as they were clearly swamped with orders. Today, the Sunday before Christmas, my order had been misplaced. The transaction had posted but due to the Christmas frenzy that is the Mall, one order out of an apparent thousand went missing. The store manager, Ruby, assisted me in placing the new order and ensured it would be ready that evening for me. Her father was in the store, helping ease customers who were waiting, and even purchased me an iced latte as I waited. He also helped out the Things Remembered crew with lunch and cleaning up the store a bit, and I think that was an amazing display of team work and holiday cheer. Ruby upgraded my personalization due to the mishap and I'm on my way back to pick it up. Thank you Ruby!

I've never paid to have something framed myself so I'm not the best judge of what's a reasonable price, but $120 for an 8.5" by 11" diploma that only took 10-15 minutes to frame feels like a lot. The prints came with exiting mats which was an inch too big for the frame. I asked the clerk if he would cut them to fit. He said that it was their policy not to cut mats they didn't supply. This seems to be to be a non-customer friendly policy. I understand that this store wants to make as much money off me as they can but they are missing the point about customer service and value. I refused to buy the frames, which is a lost sale, and I'll never return. I will take my business to a store that offers customer service not on maximizing the cost of the sale. I'm going back to Frames Unlimited in Andover where I've always had great service.
