The 2-star review is due to my experience on recent Saturday trying to buy an EGO string trimmer that was advertised on the website at $199. This was a kit with battery and charger. Lowes had the same kit at the same price. The website said my store had 3 in stock so I ran over to get one. My shock when the clerk rang it up at $479!!. When I asked what's up she said they don't really go by the price on the website.??? She apologized and said she could leave a note on the owners' desk. I asked why even call yourselves Ace if the website price doesn't apply. So, I should have purchased it online, then called for the rest of the day asking when my purchase was ready for pickup??. It would have been Monday before I heard back. Weak link in the sales chain. So, I drove to Lowes. Incidentally, she told me they had been selling these all weekend. They mixed up orders and embroidered my daughters dress with another client's pattern, and proceeded to damage the dress taking out their error When we tried to pick it up the owner was incredibly rude. She told us if we could replace the dress she would try to get the correct pattern in another week. So basically due to her mistake she expects us to get another dress for her and then she will provide the service we paid for in the first place?
