Turned out the machine needed a different bobbin, and they also showed her the correct way to thread the machine. Since she has been sewing heavier material and doeskin, they also suggested a "walking foot" to make the task easier. The only charge was for the walking foot, they didn't charge anything for getting the machine going and showing her how to use it. Lot's cheaper than buying a new machine!

Then this is the place. There are exhibits and working shops of different tradespeople and their crafts, i.e., quilting, woodworking, leather, soap, cheese, etc. We came on a Saturday when they have an open market at the "Barn" (a big barn where all share their crafts and finished work for sale). It was a delightful experience. All provide friendly service and attention to detail. There is no cost to visit, but you may find their wares pricey. But you need to know that everything is handmade by experts in their craft. Their Homestead Heritage Cafe serves great coffee and is a delightful place to spend some time sipping a cup of coffee or tea. The Homestead Heritage Restaurant is worth the visit (make a reservation though as it fills up).

The Airbnb was beautiful and just as pictured. Do you be aware that the second bed is upstairs via a European staircase.

They refused & caused a scene & changed the price to $10 just before we left. They tried to tell me that the car price was mis marked. But there was an entire box of those little plastic trucks and the box had a price of eight dollars on it for all those trucks. As I was trying to argue with them they decided to change the price to $10. That's very rude and it's the principle of matter. A good business does not do that, they honor the price that's posted. They then fix it for next time but they want customers to come back so they should make the customer happy.
