The agent Alex Klott pushed the closing back by not being ready by 5 days because the seller wanted more than the 13 days we agreed on. Alex never showed up give us the keys after 13 days. The place was left in secured an a mess with many things left in the house, bedrooms, clothes, furniture, food in refrigerator, yard a mess 8 tires left, lawnmower, garbage like you wouldn't believe. Alex wouldn't even answer his phone. The Broker Phil Grosso didn't do any better and never did anything to remedy this huge problem. Please contact me and I will send you some pictures of this absolute MESS!! I can't believe that this is considered common practice by the Fort Gratiot Mi KW. There is no doubt that they deliver beautiful homes. I have no complaints with the look and feel of…read morethe home. However, if you choose a different contractor to put in your foundation (which was a less expensive option with a trusted contractor), be prepared to have to find a different contractor to place your house on the foundation. They will give every excuse in the book. They will not tell you they won't do it, they'll just continue giving conditions that are increasingly impossible to fulfill. By the time we were able to get it placed by a different contractor, all of the appliances were no longer under warranty. FYI: The warrenty starts the day the appliances were delivered to the company who built your house... not the day you actually are in the house and using them. We ordered a picture window for the living room and were given no blinds for it. After much correspondence with Diamond, ie: pictures taken, quotes gotten, etc per their request, they finally tell me that it's not in the contract I signed. A tiny little spot that says no blind for that window! If it had been brought to my attention, I would have paid more to have the blinds! I was never asked if I had a preference! One would think that a good salesman would ask! I was also dealing with an aging parent living with us and his death before the house was finished. We dealt with two family deaths, administration of a trust, moving everything out of our old house for demolition and living in a travel trailer until the new house was finished...all in the same year! I'm definitely not happy with their aftercare service! I was told by the salesman that this company was a mom & pop type company that goes beyond the sale of the house to make sure it's customer needs were met. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we had with them. I've heard that all of these companies do the same thing. After you purchase and take delivery, they're done with you! And, I've been told by this company that this honest review is the reason they won't help with the blinds. When actually, it's because it was in the contract without my knowledge and they didn't say anything until I submitted the review. I don't pretend to expect them to stand behind anything anymore! The local company that placed the house (not a Diamond Home Sales contractor) is the same contractor who demolished the old house and built us a very solid 6' crawl space. And we LOVE it!!! They have been very good to us!

We were in town for several days and this place turned out to be perfect for us. It is located directly on the river and across the street from the best golf course in the area. We rented a comfortable, furnished studio apartment compete with a small kitchen. The place was very clean and fresh, with quality linens and mattress. The manager told us that they had recently completed a renovation and it showed. I especially appreciated the free laundry facility, which is also new. It was a real treat to sit on the private beach and watch the freighters move up and down the river. We return to St. Clair every year and will definitely make this our home base from now on.

Disappointed that there is no broker in his office because HE is the broker. He will not help us obtain our emd back on a loan we could not secure financing on. After he got his comminsion, he left me in the dust. When I did finally reach him, he suggested I contact an attorney. I think if he's selling your house, he'll work for you, but he's not suitable to help you buy a home if you have unusual circumstances or have a time constraint. Do not let him suggest Blue Water Home Loans for your motgage! I spoke with a local Broker who understands our circumstances and she states our money should be returned.
