Stumbled upon this place while searching for coffee after arriving on an early flight. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the flatbread was, burrito was fine, and the coffee and black tea was good too. Service was okay--guy at the register wasn't super pleasant or helpful with menu questions. I think they were setting up for a block party happening later that night, so they may have had a lot going on, but we were 2 out of 5 people in there that morning so it wasn't busy or anything. Otherwise, you can definitely tell this is a favorite spot for locals, a few came in and knew the bar tender by name. I came by here for ice cream the other evening and absolutely loved how funky and off the wall this place is! The people working were very polite and helpful. The ice cream was delicious, and for a single scoop, I got to choose two flavors: red velvet and Cookie Monster. The red velvet stuck out more and I highly recommend that flavor! There was bingo going on when we were there, but it seems like they also put on a ton of other events. They also serve breakfast and are well known for their pizza!! MJ is absolutely an asset to the company , great navigator and has great conversations . Stopped coming after awhile after being an avid customer but as soon as MJ joined the team I felt back at home at jobot . He brings coffee knowledge and enthusiasm the shop needs ! 2nd time coming here and I am a fan. Had to wait several minutes to be served, but it looked like the bartenders were changing shifts, so no biggy. They have sparkling wine on draft which is just ok. We went for the valentines day special- great deal. The ice-cream was delicious, but many flavors were out. Our heart shaped pizza was pretty tasty too, with ricotta and spicy honey. Me and my friend stopped here when taking a walk downtown. The place is very dark, or dimmed inside. It wasn't overly loud but still wasn't effective for a conversation if you sit inside. Me and my friend only stopped here to get some ice cream! I personally had the circus cookie ice cream. The presentation of the ice cream was cute! Used to love this place. Today, I spent $8.42 on an almond milk mocha. It was not as good as I remember and much more expensive. If you're going to raise the price on the cheapest commodity in your establishment (coffee) - you'd better find a way to make it AMAZING. Jobot does not know what it's doing. First of all, one staff member taking care of everyone in a downtown Phoenix cafe is absurd. The wait is ridiculously long and a waste of everyone's time. Second, I paid $7.60 for an awful oat milk latte. It was seriously so bad and sour, and completely lacks smoothness and quality. I asked for honey to add some taste to it, but I still could not finish this cup of embarrassment. Third, it's the most expensive cup of coffee I've ever gotten. Fourth, why are the sugars and stirrers not out for people to use? Do they think customers will go crazy on stirrer use? That's another waste of time, to wait for the employee to come around so you ask for a stirrer. And fifth, why is the music so loud?! Is this a cafe or a hip-hop club? I could still hear the music with my noise-cancelling earbuds on. I feel like they cover up their poor coffee beverages with their doll decorations and they think it's cool and entertaining, but at the end of the day, it was a complete waste of money and time. In the five plus years I've been coming here it is always amazing every time! I took a friend here that's visiting from out of town and she loved it just as much as me and that made me happy. Coming from Utah she couldn't grasp that they sold coffee and alcohol ha ha ha I myself love the food and well...everything about it. Vibe, music, food, coffee. It's all consistent and staff awesome . Today while my friend enjoyed a mimosa and such I had some melt ice cream . I sampled a few, but I take the bartenders word for it and chose the fig and goat cheese with cherry. It was freaking fantastic! Not over sweet, smooth and just plain perfect. A nice spot to sit down and get coffee! Jobot is an interesting restaurant that serves coffee, ice cream, and an eclectic selection of foods (dim sum being one of them -- I'll have to come back to try it). Parking is a little challenging to find as there is only street parking available, so you may have to search around in the local area to find a metered parking spot. The interior of the shop is decorated with interesting art and local flyers, and there's plenty of interior seating available. There's even a cool arcade machine table that's free to play at! In terms of coffee, I ordered an iced lavender oat latte. I liked my drink! It was floral, not too sweet, and creamy. I wouldn't mind stopping by again in the future to try some of their other drinks or perhaps sample the food. It's a nice hangout spot if you ever want to bring a friend or two! read more

Nice place to hang out and talk with friends while enjoying a drink. It's a little loud inside but not so loud that you can't hear people talk. It was kind of strange that they had a TV on tuned to a hockey game because it's very clearly not a sports bar. I would not recommend the ice cream place inside. Although it's a bonus that they have vegan flavors, they have the silly rule that they only sell ice cream in "scoops of 3" - and each scoop costs about $7. I got a scoop of the vegan sorbet which was not kept at the right temperature and was already half melted when they handed it to me. read more

Came here last night with some friends to work on case study cuz I didn't want to work from home. It seemed to be the only place open late. The ice cream was soooooo good and the guy who helped me was really nice. I'm only giving 4/5 stars simply because the music in that place is entirely way too loud and not good lol. It'd be different if the music was consistent and good songs were played but some of them were hella depressing or just too much. And I'm a musician who listens to everything on full blast so I feel like this says a lot lol. Before COVID-19: We were in search of coffeeshops in PHX and came across Jobot. It is an artsy, divey coffeeshop with some Seattle/LES vibes: a coffeeshop and bar with musicians playing and artworks adorning the walls. Stickers lined up the poles at the bar with graf-art. Daytime and music blasting kept this place lively the few first times we came. I couldn't entirely focus on working, so I don't totally recommend it being a "working" cafe. However, the live performance with brunch, drinks and coffee seems to attract a local crowd from the surrounding condos. Different food options from sandwiches to salads to icecream. They also serve wine and beer and coffee drinks. During COVID-19: Masks required inside. Outdoor seating in front but dine-in available. Bathroom available. Open late for your nightly munchies and after drinks lattes. The ice cream bar is awesome. They serve the scoops of locally produced ice cream in a cardboard box. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. This was my second time visiting this bar, though I live in walking distance lol but it was nice to stop by again. The first time I went in, there was odd decor, headless baby dolls, weird trinkets, and things of that sort. I was surprised to see it looking "modern." I thought they baby dolls was the regular aesthetic lol but the owner shared that she just felt lazy and left the Halloween decorations up from last year. I giggled, and joked that she should have just kept them up, because Halloween is right around the corner! Lol but I guess she has a different theme in mind for this coming year. But, this is a really cool place to chill at. The drinks are affordable, the menu looks good, and they have ice cream! I also enjoy the music they play. Came here with a some friends from school to do class work. I walked in and immediately started looking for outlet's because my laptop is old and needs to constantly be plugged in, the guy on bar asked me if i needed help and i told him what i was doing, he immediately pointed out all the outlets in the place. I was able to plug in by a comfortable couch, I got an caramel oatmilk latte (my go to) and it was very good, the oatmilk they used is creamy and he didn't use too much caramel. My friend and I went for a walk down Roosevelt. I mentioned I knew a place that sold ice cream but didn't know it by name. There's always a sign outside lightly promoting it. Today we stopped by and walked through the patio as directed. There were about 10 flavors of ice cream to choose from. The place had converted to the night life scene so it was a little loud but we happily got our ice cream and continued our stroll down the street. We both got the animal cracker cookie ice cream. I'd want more animal crackers in it as there were only three little pieces and it was about $7.50/per scoop/per person. It had sprinkles as well. Went here this morning for a study date with a friend, as we were looking for coffee shops in the area that seemed to have a good vibe to study and the friend had been there in the past. Upon walking in the vibe was interesting. There was a man behind the counter, who appeared to be the only one working not in the kitchen, who took our order. We had ordered two lattes and some French fries, after taking our order he returned to the end of the counter to resume talking with two customers who appeared to be regulars. He walked them out and brought us our fries, but no lattes. The fries were good, served hot. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured he would make them next. He returned to his seat at the end of the counter and stayed there until a girl who was another regular came in and ordered a few drinks which he immediately made. They continued having a long conversation whilst we waited for our drinks to come. The conversation was not pertaining to business and prolonged him from making our forgotten lattes. At this point thirty minutes had gone by from our ordering, the fries were entirely gone, and we still had not been attended to. At this point we got up and left to a different place hoping for better service. There was no acknowledgement of us as we left or made any indication about our drinks. Will not be returning here. Their wifi password is "tipyourbartender" which is ironic considering we did in fact tip our bartender and never received the expected service we were tipping for. read more

The Thai chef who is there 6-close Tuesday-Sunday makes amazing food. Their name is MAY. She's energetic, fun, and bright! I have been here before but this time just for a snack and a drink. They have a dj (DJ SUEÑO) on Thursday sometimes and it's awesome! Jobot has been a place I've been going to since 2017, they also house MELT a local ice cream shop that downsized years ago. You can get MELT ice cream here and Thai food, it's also a coffee shop, it's also a bar! It's everything in one, and just a cool spot to hang. 10/10 always.
