Tried this place for first time with a group of friends. I got the mango black tea. Others got Matcha and a coffee along with two cinnamon roll rolls. Upon arriving, I love the area. The vibe is really nice and chill outside and as you walk in. It is very clean. I love that there was so many different people they're studying and reading and you can tell that there was some groups that were meeting up there for like a book club, and just to have a drink! so it's really nice to know that you can have a little community inside of this nice clean coffee spot! So as I said, I got the mango black tea and it was very strong. I didn't even drink the whole thing you couldn't tell that it was mango. It just tasted like harsh, strong tea, one of the other girls in the group went back up they had to remake her coffee. They said that there was a new employee working there and they were sorry. Which is totally understandable, but at the same time I think each one of us had an uncertain experience with flavor of our drinks where it was like either the coffee was too strong. The tea was too strong unflavored for mine. So the mango black tea is unsweet and normally I love unsweet tea. That's all I get, but this tea just did not do it for me. I give it a four star because of the cleanliness and the workers are sweet and I love the environment, but the product itself I was not impressed with. read more

This coffe shop is in a cute , relaxing spot!! The ambiance is everything. Stopped in for an event and I was blown away that I had never been to the area. I tried the rose green tea arnold palmer. It was ok, just wish it was a tab bit sweeter. It was not sweet at all and I am generally not a sweet person but this would have been alot better with a little more hint of sweetness. We stopped in after dinner for a quick pick me up. The girl working the counter was polite and helpful, she also informed us that they would be starting a painting event in an hour. I ordered a dirty pumpkin chai and my girlfriend got a drip coffee. The coffees were served up hot and in a timely manner. The dirty chai was tasty and not too sweet. Went down to Valley Coffee Company last night for a paint and sip event from 7-9 pm, curated by The Painters Lounge. What absolute fun. Good drinks, select beer and wine, and a nice simple menu. It was an hour + drive for me, but everything was great. Have access to private garage just behind coffee shop. Nice bright interior and a cool outdoor patio. Because I was painting on a pretty limited size surface, I just availed myself to a large Americano coffee. It was really good. I was eyeing the menu, but there was really no place in the little area that I was given for painting to set the food down so I passed. The menu looked good enough though that I'll probably go back with my pup just a sample what else this gem has to offer One thing I think they could've done better for this paint and sip event was to add a couple more people at the front counter to fill drink orders. When I got there, there was only one person behind the counter and one preparing the food. Unfortunately, they're about 30 or 40 people at the paint event and everybody was trying to order at the same time, so there was quite a wait. But overall, I'm a huge fan of this location and the vibe in here. I'll be back. read more

Great service! Delicious food! Lovely atmosphere! We stumbled upon this place while walking, we were in town for a week and our hotel was close by. We loved the breakfast sandwiches. I got the Turkey Breakfast sandwich without the egg and got extra turkey with chipotle aioli. My wife got the ham and cheese breakfast sandwich with strawberry jam. She also ordered a Cold Press Orange Juice. The outside patio area was clean and peaceful nice flowers to look at while eating. We ate at Valley Coffee Company twice while we were in Phoenix. Valley coffee company is situated in one of the cutest neighborhoods in Phoenix! There is parking available right behind the coffee shop which was a plus. The service was very good and everyone was friendly and attentive. They have lots of seating and give off a community vibe. My only complaint was price! After checking out The Heard Museum, my mom and I were looking for a coffee spot nearby on a Sunday afternoon. I hopped on the trusty Yelp app and found Valley Coffee Company. We made our way over and parked in the complimentary lot adjacent to the coffee shop. It's already super hot in Phoenix, so covered parking is always much appreciated. Valley Coffee Company is located in a nice part of Roosevelt Row. Not the artsy part, but surrounded by nice apartments and condos. Service (4/5): We placed our order at the counter and they called my mom's name when our order was ready. Easy. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical coffee shop environment. Small-ish but comfortable. Mostly table seating with a couple of comfortable chairs (which is where we sat luckily). They even have a cool coffee cup-shaped coffee table. Let that sink in. The decor is a little hipster. The type of spot where you can study or get some work done. Or meet a friend. Drinks (3/5): I'm not a coffee drinker (madness, I know) so I always appreciate when a coffee shop also has a nice selection of teas or juices. Outside of bottled beverages, Happy Valley has a small selection. I went with the mango black tea. Solid, but I just wish there were more choices. Food (3/5): When I saw the words cinnamon roll croissant, it was one of those say no more moments for me. It seemed like a match made in heaven and a first for me. Unfortunately, the croissant was overcooked in some areas which took away from the pastry. Rather than being flaky, buttery, and airy inside, certain portions of the croissant were overcooked, so they hardened. I'm hoping it was just a mistake and not how the croissants are usually served. There are also additional food items if you're hungry. More so than you see at your typical coffee shop. read more

Had the worst breakfast sandwich I've had in a while from Valley Coffee Company, unfortunately. There was so much aioli that it coated the whole back of the bagel. The bagel was also super lackluster and soft with really no 'everything' flavor. It also had one little slice of tomato for the entire bagel sandwich, and you couldn't taste the cheese. The whole thing needed seasoning. One side was so messy and soaked that I only ate the other half because I was starving and had nothing else at work to eat. If you try a bfast sandwich, I suggest not getting the bagel and go for the English muffin. Everything about it was much more suited to that. The latte was also not good - I got vanilla oatmilk and it really doesn't taste like anything. I'm not even sure how that's possible? I'd been wanting to check this place out, but with so many good cafes downtown I don't think I'll go back. I had a really great morning here on Sunday! I came around 930a to meet some friends and it was busy, but we were still able to grab a table on the patio for the six of us. The people working were nice and helped answer my questions about some of the drinks. I ordered the chai tea latte which was delicious, and also tried the chicken and green chiles tamale. So yummy!!! Highly recommend! Some of my friends ordered the breakfast sandwiches, and said they were good too. They had some really cool artwork hung up on the walls, and when I asked about them, I learned that they do painting classes there and that some of the artwork were from previous classes. The butter croissant was heated up, most welcome in the morning. Did I mention we are in a hot location and the additional offering of ice cream product is perfect. Know one's audience needs! Shaded seating on the patio with a "big ass" fan is available. Perfect in the morning. When it gets warmer, try the Indoor seating which offers two-top, four-top, window bar, and some cozy seating. Staff was friendly, helping me with selection. I even had a wonderful chat with two local people on the patio that made this visit extra special. The artwork on the ways is wonderful. Prime real estate on Portland and walking distance to everything, spacious storefront with patio, bold and tasty beans, creative and fun seasonal flavors and drink options, painting classes on weekend evenings (!!!), and most importantly of all - AMAZING, patient, generous, understanding, smiling staff. One tip I learned is that you can get foam with any flavor on top of any drink, even tea, etc :) Most memorable/meaningful experience: one time I forgot to order my latte with non-dairy and went to the counter to re-order and pay for the new drink as it was my mistake and the staff remade it for me at no charge (crying emoji). This might be my favorite coffee shop. It's close to work, the coffee is always so good and fairly priced, and their veggie breakfast sandwiches are delicious. The staff is always super nice and friendly, I love that they have a sort of paint and sip thing they do at least once a week, and I like the overall vibes of the shop; very chill, relaxed, and laidback. Loved my first time at this coffee shop! It's in the middle of a very nice and pretty neighborhood in the middle of downtown/Roosevelt Row area (I think??). The neighborhood reminds me of Boston for some reason. This coffee shop is pretty big compared to other coffee shops in the area. It also has a decent-sized outdoor area, and sitting in the patio area was really peaceful with the nice scenery. The outside has a good number of counter seats and a few small tables. When I came to this neighborhood before, I usually gave up on finding street parking. However, I read reviews before I came and found out there's a garage across the street. There are designated church/retail parking spots in the garage with a two hour limit. I got an iced latte with oat milk ($4.50 for a regular size) and was surprised to see that they don't charge extra for alternative milks. They also give you a $1 off for coffee apparently from 5 p.m. to close (8 p.m.). I liked my drink! They also had a variety of sandwiches/hot food on their menu, along with a few pastry options. I got it iced per the baristas recommendation. He said it was good with sparking water in it too but I didn't try that! The orange flavor was subtle but really good.
