Sugar Haven is close to work so I decided to give it a try. I was able to get a same day appointment (around the holidays too!) which was much needed. The place is nothing fancy, just bare bones. This was my first sugaring experience. I had my lip and chin done. The pain is no different than waxing, a little less probably. The cool sugar is soothing as opposed to the hot wax that can burn. There are no strips, just a ball of sugar that is almost rolled over the area. It's not a "one and done" pull like with waxing. There are some areas that take a couple passes, but it's not like in waxing where the more rips the more pain. The redness was the same as waxing but disappeared sooner. Kyarra did my sugaring and she is a good soul. I will return for my in between waxes when I can't get into my regular place. I will say that Lex was hospitable and fast, the service only took about 30 minutes. However it was disappointing on so many levels, starting with the tacky fake plants outside. The bathroom was cute and clean, but as I walked back to the appointment room there was a bunch of junk stacked by the wall, and the appointment room was brightly lit with uncomfortable paper bedding. I am used to wax spas using nice soft linens. When my wax was over she left the room and did not offer me any sort of wipe to clean up with (as is customary in my experience) and also missed quite a lot of hair in the back. When I met her at the register and told her about this she did offer to go back in and fix it, but I really didn't want to bother with going back into that gross room and undressing again. Typically at a wax spa you would be offered a hand mirror to check before they actually leave the room and have you get dressed again. I was also disturbed by the fact that there wasn't a sink or even hand sanitizer in the room. I can only hope that she was going into the bathroom between clients to wash her hands but who knows! Anyway, definitely would not return. Not for me.

I have now gone to see her four times for a bikini wax and I have been very satisfied every time. Her prices are very affordable and she does a great job. My skin is always left very smooth and when I do get bumps they heal very quickly with the correct aftercare. Tiffany is super friendly and accommodating, always willing to fit you in last minute if she can or work around you're schedule. I even got a back massage from her on my first visit and it was great! So relaxing! I haven't had time for another one on any of my visits but it's definitely worth it! The building is a older and a bit run down but the inside of the salon is fine.

I have never been here before but her peaceful and concerned message to me warmed my soul. If her character is this kind normally, imagine her environment! I wish I could have made it but am hopeful I'll be better able to financially pay for it next time. It's only $25 but gas prices are so high that I find myself choosing to get a $1.00 gallon of water instead of the normal $3.49 pack of like 20. I will be returning though, I have to experience this atmosphere. You should too!!
