I cannot even begin to describe the relief and joy I found after discovering this waxing salon on Yelp.I will try my best to make this sound less like a love letter and more like a review. Moving to a new state is never easy (believe me, I know, I've done it three times in 2 years), and one of the worst parts about relocating is finding service providers that you feel comfortable with who also do an excellent job. Many waxing services are provided in salons where dozens of other services are provided. You can also find people who wax in janky nail salons. Neither of these are acceptable in my book. I'm always most comfortable with a solo practitioner who runs a clean, professional place. Silk Body Boutique is just that. The inside of the salon is so nicely decorated and one of the first things you notice is how clean, organized, and most importantly, welcoming everything is. As far as the services go, I am so grateful to find such a professional, genuinely nice esthetician who was easy to talk to and FAST! I've had waxes that lingered on for 90 minutes, and I've had some quicker jobs that left me with clumps of wax on my legs and patches of hair leftover - let me tell you, both of these sorts of experiences are nightmares to endure. Nicole was quick, but the quality of her work was top notch and there was no leftover hair or wax after my appointment. I am very happy with my visit here! I mean, I have never had a bikini wax before. If anything, after this experience, I don't know why people are so scared of them. Nicole is pleasant. I'm not new to getting waxed. I have friends that are confused that I pay someone to rip hair out of my body on purpose. That said, I really am so happy that I discovered Silk. Nicole is the owner and very sweet. Even when I'm sure my jokes aren't very funny, she laughs anyway. Plus, she has a way of making you feel comfortable. Depending on where you get waxed on your body, it can be different levels of intimacy. Even if you're just getting your brows shaped, you still have a stranger all up in your face. But again, Nicole somehow makes it a bit more comfortable. As soon as you walk into Silk, you feel a little calmer. The furniture in the waiting area makes it feel a bit more boudoir (seriously, there are panties laying on and in the drawers of one of the cutest dressers ever - I want it for my bedroom). I've had eyebrows and a brazilian from Nicole, and will happily go back again and again. I've been three or four times now and it's well worth it. I will also say this about her - she's QUICK. I think I spend more time shimmying out of my clothes than she spends slathering warm (not hot) wax on my naughty bits. She also makes a brazilian as un-awkward as I've ever had. Now I've had brazilians and bikini waxes plenty of times before, but Nicole is GOOD. She's meticulous about brows in a good way. She may spend a bit more time using tweezers than I'm used to, but it's well worth it. My brows never look too thin or over plucked, I just look a little nicer. I was very nervous about going anywhere to get waxed especially after some of the awful experiences I've had in the past. However, I thought that I'd give it another try and I bought the Living Social deal for Silk. The owner, Nicole, was very nice, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable. Her space is small, but it is very cute inside. Since she specializes in just waxing, I immediately felt more at ease with the whole process. The deal I got was for the brow and Brazilian, and let me tell you....I would 100% go back again. This girl knows what she is talking about, she's very fast and efficient, and she won't put you through more pain than you need. It was definitely not as painful as I was expecting (hello...some of those areas are sensitive!!!), and when she told me she was done I actually said "Already? That's it?" I will absolutely be going back to Nicole and Silk Body Boutique again. Thank you, Nicole, for making my experience one I won't forget...in a good way! UPDATE: I just want to add a quick update to my review. Since my original visit, I have gone back to Silk Body Boutique once more (so far) for the brazilian wax...let's just say that I am going to KEEP GOING BACK!! I love it. Totally agree with the other reviewers- Nicole is really really good. So, after seeing the Living Social deal, and seeing it was on the east side, I decided to buy the voucher for the brazilian and brow wax. As I had a pretty bad experience with a wax at another institution down Richmond Road, I decided that I might as well give it another try, as it is swimsuit season, nonetheless! The location is a little iffy from the front (parking is in the back of the building), but once you actually walk into Nicole's suite, it's really nice. Nice warm colors greet you, and it's definitely a well-kept, classy, type of place. It didn't even feel like I was on Som Center Road. haha. Nicole is super friendly and man, she is FAST. The last time I got a wax, it took someone an hour and a half, and it was so painful. Not with Nicole! I got out the door in 30 minutes- and to be honest, she did it so quickly and efficiently, it barely hurt. Like, actually, barely hurt. Given, I barely get waxes at all (only during swimsuit season)- I was really surprised at how clean, efficiently, and quick she did everything. And really... it didn't really hurt at all. At other places, I would be tearing up in pain...but not with her! She's really good. Plus, she mentioned to me that she has 10 years experience being a spa director and have worked at other locations (including in Chicago), so you know that she knows her stuff- she's definitely no newbie. Plus, she's super friendly, so it was nice to chat with her. If you're looking for any type of wax, go here, all the way. She even did my brows- and they look really good. Like really really good. I've had my brows waxed, threaded, you name it- and usually people have no idea how to shape it right and it ends up too thin, etc...but man, Nicole did it in like 4 minutes, and they look good. I had read the reviews for Silk Body Boutique when seeking a place for my summer brazilian. I was in the area for work yesterday and decided to check it out by scheduling a last minute brow wax. Nicole was able to fit me in within 30 minutes of the call. It wasn't hard to find, though I did enter the parking lot next to it with the bigger buildings, there was no limitation of access to walk across to their building. It's a relatively small place, but well put together and looked clean. The waxing room has a comfortable table to lay on. Nicole was quick and efficient but did not lack in customer service. She took a look at my brows and asked me about my typical management/upkeep of them. She told me what she going to do before waxing and made a plan for me to come back in 2-3 weeks to finish shaping them so that my arch was better defined. She even took some time to show me how and where to fill them in with powder and the benefits of powder vs. the pencil that I've always used. When I mentioned that I tend to break out when getting my brows waxed, Nicole used a cold compress after the waxing to close my pores. It was only yesterday, but I haven't broken out! All in all, it was great. My brows have never looked better and I feel good about Nicole and the salon to go back for a brazilian. When I asked Nicole about the brazilians, she let me know her process and answered all my questions. She also mentioned a rewards program for your 6th brazilian free - no time limit - which is a great deal. read more

Nicole at Silk Body Boutique is awesome! I've been looking for a new place to get my eyebrows waxed and I am happy to say that I have found it. The interior of the boutique is super cute, I love the reception area. The actual area where the waxing was done at is comfortable and really clean. It probably took less than 5 minutes for her to do my eyebrows, but they look amazing. I hate it when people take off way too much when waxing and leave them looking too thin with none of the natural shape. Nicole did an awesome job with cleaning them up and shaping them just enough to make them look neat without overwaxing. Even my fiancé noticed them and commented on what a great job she did! Nicole was fantastic. I've been waxing for years, and she's very good. She's super efficient, friendly, easy to talk to, and does a good job. Some people try to be fast and end up snapping all the hair and leaving a mess, but she's both fast and skilled. She's the best I've been able to find in OH so far. There's parking right in front, so no need to search for parking either. I would say the toughest thing is getting myself on the schedule... but I guess that just means she's in demand. She has a website now to schedule your appointments online, but I never seem to be able to find availability that way. She used to be super on top of answering emails for appointment requests, but the last couple times I tried, no reply... so I ended up going elsewhere. Maybe you'll have better luck if you're the kind of person who has lots of availability (students?) or can plan appointments way in advance... It's too bad. I would make this my regular spot if I could only get in. ----------------------------------- Explanation of my rating system - 5*: Epitome of something, the best I've had, would LOVE to go back 4*: Great service and happy to go back regularly, but not the best of the category 3*: Service is fine. I had gotten the Brazilian and brow wax deal on Living Social. I was nervous to get it done being that it was my 1st time. I asked a friend to look at the website who has gotten many Brazilians and she said that it looked like a nice place so I went for it. I called to make an appointment and get some questions answered. I talked to the owner Nicole and she eased all my worries and I went ahead with the appointment. It is really easy to get to being just off 271. The spa is small, cute and very clean! It is a great concept to just specialize in waxing. Nicole has a lot of experience in the business (including a spa in Chicago). I was welcomed by Nicole as I arrived and offered a beverage. Once in the waxing room my nerves became more apparent and she reassured me that everything was going to be ok and asked if it was my first time. I told her yes and she made me feel very comfortable and told me what to expect. She was very personable and we had great conversations during the waxing. I was shocked that it was done so fast and that it wasn't painful at all. The brow wax was a bonus and I got a compliment from a friend on my brows after getting them done there. When I was done Nicole gave me her card which had her personal phone number and said to call with any questions, I guarantee this service doesn't happen at other salons. Found this cute waxing boutique during a Google and Yelp search and am so glad I did!! As a virgin to the whole Brazilian waxing experience, you can only imagine my anxiety about having it done. Nicole, the owner, was nothing but super professional and it never felt awkward being on her table having it done for the first time. It took about 15 minutes, most of which she spent teaching me about the care and expectations of the waxing. Nicole was great! Easily the fastest/most efficient brow & lip wax experience I have ever had, and my brows look great. I got in a few minutes early and was done about two minutes into my appointment time. Could not believe the traffic near Silk though, even in the early afternoon!
