Recently I have added to this regiment manual muscle therapy for my scoliosis from John Potts, LMT for several months. Under John's guidance I have participated in a weekly exercise class and received a chair massage with the purpose of increased strengthening of muscles on the "weaker" side of my body and breaking up scar tissue that has been "binding up" those muscles. The positive effect of John's work on my back, allowing it to move more freely, has been remarkable. John seems very knowledgeable about how the various parts of the body are meant to work, and very encouraging as I attempt to follow his exercise instructions when home. He has been patient in allowing me to progress at a reasonable pace that fits where I am at. It took me decades of work that included repetitive motion to become so twisted in posture, so my progress is slow. But the manual muscle therapy has been been a good boost to the treatment I started 4 years ago and I am thankful.
