Having my eyes dilated has never been a problem until my visit here. First thing I noticed was my eyes dilated faster than ever before. After exam when I got to my car to return home my vision was SO blurry I was anxious about driving the short distance home! My vision stayed blurry for about 3 hours!!! Not a good experience.

They called to cancel my wife's appointment, the first one, the afternoon before the appointment. I returned their call and asked if I was to receive the $25 fee for cancelling less than 24 hours. The "lady" on the end said they don't really collect that. But they sent me no less than 10 emails about the appointment with that same threat in it. "Lady" said don't be rude to her, she's a human and that is system generated. No accountability for their own business. I hung up. "Lady" called back to tell me not to be rude. Told her her place of business was at the height of rudeness for 3 weeks and she failed to understand. I told her so...and she hung up. Do not deal with these people. People are so fed up with the arrogance and mediocrity of medical "professionals" nowadays. Too many low IQ people involved, too much arrogance, too many self-serving incompetents who feel justified in doing whatever they want. They think it's okay to threaten us with cancellation fees and then cancel less than 24 hours when I have scheduled a day off and had to find a substitute to cover my classes. Talk about rude. How about honor the appointment and have one of the other "doctors" take care of the patient? Too much? It's just an eye exam. Drs. Brummit, May, and Spencer should be embarrassed at their company's lack of professionalism or will they say it's not their fault but the system?

Super nice place housed in a building that has to 100+ yrs old but decorated very modern. Lots of eyeglasses displayed there. I usually go to Florence Eye Center on Cox Creek Pkwy (sister office) but may start coming downtown to Specs. If you like trendy places with cool decorations, you'll LOVE this place!!!

I had my yearly exam last week with Dr. Basden. I did have a prescription change and had to update my glasses. A young man named Lee helped me with glasses. He was extremely professional and knew his stuff! I was so impressed! They make me look forward to going to the eye doctor!

So I had to wait 3 weeks, granted 2 of those were mine (couldn't pay for them the Thursday so I had…read moreto wait till Tuesday to order them which sucked) but my biggest complaint is the optometrist went on vacation the same day I was supposed to get my glasses, and she was gone for a week I called and asked if I could get them anyway and they said I couldn't without the optometrist who woudlnt be back to the next Thursday, first off why didn't they have a backup optometrist? So she decides to go on vacation (which is fine obviously) and what everyone who needs glasses or contacts now has to wait a whole nother week? Why would they not have a back up optometrist? I wasn't able to go shopping or drive or even work because of it (my old pair broke hence why I ordered new ones) and why is only the optometrist allowed to give them to me, she asked my name asked if they fit and sent me on my way are you telling me no one else could have done the same thing took 30 seconds. Ended up developing anxiety and now if I dont wear my glasses for an hour I start to get stressed and anxious. Honestly

I trusted Dr. Kassels for two years until I realized he…read moreassumed I had a punctal plug which is something he could have seen if he took time to do a thorough exam. During every appointment, Dr. Kassels attitude and bedside manner was such that it made me feel I was wasting his time. Additionally, either the prescription was wrong for my glasses or his optician did not submit the order correctly. The progressive lens is not aligned correctly. To be able to read with the glasses I have to push them up. Adjusting the frames does not help. No one at Dr. Kassels office has done anything to correct the problem. If I was the only person having experienced the same treatment, I wouldn't write a review; however, several people are having problems with their glasses prescriptions and are receiving poor service. If I could choose zero stars, I would.

They refuse to refund the previous payment because they say it was for doctors service rendered and isn't eligible for refund. DO NOT USE this company! They are complete crooks and don't care about their customers at all. And that is all the way up to the corporate office. I would leave a zero rating if I could.
