Last week I came home to a basement with about 3ft of water in it. It was late when I arrived. Probably around 11pm. I called Joe at around midnight. Joe immediately responded to an unexpected flood I discovered in my basement. It was unexpected because, having been in this new house for 7 months, I had not experienced any flooding. Nonetheless, I called Joe and he came over. He was able to immediately assess the situation, suggested a remedy (which included leaving one of his pumps for a few days), and charged me a reasonably fair price. We woke up Saturday morning to a massive flood of wall-to-wall water in our finished basement from a broken water heater. As if that wasn't bad enough, our sump pump (that was supposed to help suck up the water) also broke. My husband called Joe and he was out to Jackson, New Jersey, from Staten Island, New York, immediately and got to work immediately. Joe was a non-stop working machine from the second he walked through our door. He not only set up giant fans to dry out the carpeting as best he could, he cut up, bagged and removed the carpeting; he cut the sheetrock that was damaged from the flood, bagged it up and removed it; he gathered as many wet, damaged things as he could to check with us and bagged and removed them as well. Joe never stopped working from the time he walked through the door to the time he left - I mean hours and hours without taking any real break. Joe was a refreshing change to a miserable weekend because of his positive attitude and reassurance that everything was going to be OK. It's nice to see a hardworking,honest, family owned and operated business! Joe and his worker were simply amazing when I had a flood in June 2015. My toilet tank cracked and flooded my bathroom, family room and basement. joe kielbasa's flood service and his workers extracted water from carpets and ripped up the wet carpet that was unable to be salvaged. He also removed and pumped water out from the bathroom and hallway. He even got a truck and removed all the debris and cut wet sheet rock. I didn't have to pay anything up front! I had the worst experience of my life when I went down into my finished basement to see that the hose from my washing machine had flooded it out. I panicked thinking about the damage that was already happening and the money I wasted when I had a ton of work done down there, not too long ago. Walls were soaked, rugs were saturated... the damage was extreme. I called my insurance company and they gave me the name of a big company. I was hesitant to use them and decided to stick with an independent company. This made all the difference in the world. From the minute he arrived, Joe was professional and courteous.
