I have lived a nightmare for the past 6 months with my building with a terrible mold experience that I wish on NO ONE. I think I've had the worst reaction anyone can have with the skin allergies as the crawling sensation from head to toe, hives, and itching. EEK! Most recently I finally realized it was mold. I've had to do this all on my own as my building has been no help and am now battling them in court. Overwhelmed, exhausted on all levels... AND now very sick from whatever has been in my home (I just got tested today)...waiting on results..I reached out to a few companies to get quotes as now I am on a serious budget. Here is the deal. 2 of this 2 of that. Here is the price". Her voice caring & concerned. She stayed on the phone with me for about 30 minutes. Didn't care. I didn't feel rushed. In fact I felt bad that I was holding up her time. She didn't make me feel any type of way about it thought. Her quote was THE BEST. $50 to $100 cheaper than everyone else.. She asked me who the other person that I may go with, I told her. She didn't talk bad about them. She said they were very good and praised them. I told her I would call back. I called the competitors. On the contrary to Lauren. They asked who my alternate was...and asked if they did repairing too? I said yes I think so...and they sorta bashed the company..."their price is cheap because all they want is to snatch your business". I kindly ended our conversation and called Lauren back as I don't like unprofessional...that speaks volumes. The inspector, Robert, came today, and took very good care of me on the price and through in some perks as he had to reschedule me and bump me a day. He was very thorough, explained everything and went above and beyond to test my home. I'm HAPPY...so is my Yorkie who loved him instantly (he's very antisocial), hopeful and pray my results come back with a good outcome so I can move forward with my life and find closure to this situation. So much like the rest of the world I have heard things in the recent years as to Black Mold and all the Mold Experts say its harmful. Keeping that in mind I completely freaked when my basement started to look and smell like a room for deadly disease control after the big flood we had a couple months prior. I needed to set up an inspection but I still had no idea which mold contractors or mold detection companies to use and after calling a few they all seemed so distant on the phone, not helpful at all. I have to admit I called Primeaire for a mold inspection/testing not really understanding the difference between toxic and non toxic molds or the dangers it could cause to my family. All I knew was there was a really musty damp kind of smell coming out of my kids rooms and being that my kids are only 18months and 4, I was really worried. Well after calling, they wasted no time at all setting up an appointment to inspect the problem areas. Actually they were here the same week which was great. The technician first came and sat down with me and my husband to explain the differences in the different levels on mold and how harmful they can be. I have to say after they were through I feel like an expert now Two days later I received a detailed report about all the testing and samples they took during their inspection. I found an unexpected water puddle in the garage late night yesterday, and hoped it was just an open water bottle, but traced it back to my water heater. Even worse there was no pan so the drywall shelf it was sitting on was damp and waterlogged. I immediately called this Mold Testing & Removal company at our place first thing in the morning. After a leak damaged the cieling of my bathroom i noticed mold startign to grow on the quickly all over. I called this place and for some reaosn they had multiple locations they kept flip flopping me too. When they finally got it together and had someone come down i want impressed anymore than i already was. Since i need the problem fixed cause of my kids i decided to go through with it for their health and well being. Should've called someone else because they did nothing at all to help. They halff fixed the problem after telling me that what i was seeing isnt mold its just dirt or a stain. Now the mold is still growing and ill have to pay out someone else to fix what shouldve been done a while a go by these guys. A couple weeks ago I noticed that there was a strange smell coming from the inside of my walls. I had a friend of mine check it out and he told me it was mold.
