    Brisket Sandwich

The food is excellent. I can't argue that. What's maddening is the wait and the layout of the place. The people are nice, but if you built a building, put at least some folding tables out. Put a picnic table or two outside. I came on a Friday around 1250p and walked in and was about the 23rd person inline. And the line did not move quickly. One person making sandwiches and who is also the only person who will cut the larger orders of meat, thus slowing the line down even further, is a weird thing to me. Business seems to dictate at least two people making sandwiches. Wasn't sure about buddy and his job as he just stood behind the three ladies working and stared at everything. Like I said the food is great and I'd eat it again in a heartbeat, but something's gotta be done about the ordering process for sure. Only open three days a week? Lots of business being left on the table. Check them out, but be ready to wait.

Extra Lean Brisket with a side of their amazing sauce.

Joe's BBQ is a little trailer on the corner of 43E and Tallmadge Road in Kent, Ohio. At first sight it doesn't seem like much, but don't let that fool you. They are cranking out some killer BBQ! I have never been a big brisket fan - but after tasting Joe's; I'm definitely a convert!! You can order it any way you like. I prefer extra lean as I'm not a big fan of fatty pieces. Even extra lean, the meat is tender, juicy and flavorful. Now let's talk about the sauce. Oh that sweet, sweet sauce. It's so good, they need to bottle it. If I could, I would buy it by the case. So make sure to order extra on the side - you'll be glad you did. The people who run it are friendly, helpful and happy. Always have a smile on their faces. Make sure to get there early, as they do run out of their popular items pretty fast like their brisket burger and chicken sandwiches. In addition to BBQ they have smoked Mac and cheese, potato salad, beans and desserts all made from scratch. For your convenience they take cash or card. Check them out - you won't be disappointed.

Its Fathers Day so he gets to do whatever he wants of course.... He Googled BBQ near me and Joes BBQ in Kent popped up Me, having no idea where we were even going was shocked when we pulled into a parking lot with a food truck. You know it must be good when there is already a line at 1:00, they are marking stuff off the menu they ran out of and they only opened at noon We got our order and rode to find a shady spot to eat. HOLY COW!!!!! The sandwich's are gigantic, the brisket was melt in your mouth fantastic. He also got smoked Mac & Cheese and I got Bourbon Banana Pudding. Everything was F*A*B*U*L*O*U*S Some of our best meals have been from food trucks!!

A banh mi spot that punches way above its weight. Stopped in during a cross country drive and it…read morewas well worth it. The lemongrass chicken was perfectly cooked. The carrots and jalapenos were fresh. The baguette was both slightly crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. This would be a solid 4 in NYC. In Kent, OH... it's a well deserved 5 stars.

I moved to Cleveland from Metro Detroit where there is a plethora of amazing Vietnamese restaurants…read moreand I've yet to find a good one here. I went to Kent for an adventure, found Hue Banh Mi & Pho on Yelp! so I gave it a go. When I walked through the door I knew the food was going to be good because it smelled like I was in the kitchen hovering over fresh cut veg, fish sauce and lime. Yum. I got two pork banh mi and summer rolls. I ate half a sandwich and one roll at a nearby park and had the other half for dinner when I got home. The bread was perfect--crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The veg was crisp and refreshing and the pork delicious, tender and moist. The summer roll was good, peanut sauce was perfect and I got a side of nước chấm so I could double dip. I had the second sandwich for breakfast.* I happily saw they put mayo on the banh mi so I asked for none and they made it without. Yay or otherwise yuk. I will make a special 55 minute trip to eat here again. *I go between Detroit and Cleveland on the regular so I usually get a banh mi for the road and one for the next day. Hear me out--deconstruct the sandwich and wrap the veg in a moist paper towel and seal in a glass jar. Store the bread in the paper bag it came in and put the meat away as you normally would. The next day wet the paper bag and put the bread in the oven for about 5 mins. Reheat the meat on the stove top, reassemble and enjoy.
